Tender Loving Care Senior Residence (TLCSR) is owned and operated by Shawn McGivney, MD and Kerry McGivney, RN. Both have extensive Geriatric Experience as a Medical Doctor (MD) and a Registered Nurse (RN). This brother and sister duo have had long passion to help seniors that started when they were young and helped their parents care for their Grandma Esther, when she came to live with their family. They were exposed at an early age to the joys and frustrations that come from caring for your loved ones at home.
Both Shawn and Kerry gained new perspectives and experiences as adults caring for their own parents when the time came that they were no longer able to care for themselves.
They have experienced the frustrations of the health care system not only professionally, interacting with patients, families and providers, but also personally, caring for their own parents and grandparents as direct caregivers. They believe that direct caregiver experience gives them a unique perspective other managers, administrators and professionals often lack.
