I was a former inmate of this facility (as of 11/8/21) and I wouldn't recommend this place to a dog...unless it was full of mange and bit the staff there (save for the wound care team)...They misrepresented themselves as a rehab facility... I STILL need physical rehab on my legs and those idiots cut you off any therapy once they think you made any progress at all... I walked for 39 feet before cutting me off for nine days...then their "restorative therapy" team picks up and makes things worse... You get in and out of bed more than 5 times and they cut you off for two whole weeks... This in itself set me more than a month back on my road to walking again and working...These people will only milk you for your insurance and damned if you be a patient in their way demanding to get better... They won't allow you to "escape" their prison of a facility even for a doctor's visit...or an emergency surgery (which I needed yesterday)... After threatening to sue them...they let me go...but are holding most of my personal belongings hostage... I was lucky to escape with my tablet...phone and slippers... They claimed that I was a permanent resident...in which I had no say in this...nor did my family (NOR was this in writing)...and the administrator for the night shift even said to my face that I deserved to die if I even made this surgery on time... At this time...they're STILL holding my clothing and personal canes hostage...I am now safe and sound at another hospital receiving proper care and their therapy team cares enough about you to having you walk again... They will coordinate my therapy with the best rehab possible...and that means that I will not return to that hellhole called Royal Springs any time soon...even as a visitor... Heck...I won't even go within a mile radius of there willingly...The one thing I don't understand is how a good wound care team chose that dump to work for in the first place... This team marks this dump all the way up to one star... The rest of this place is a -4...Please...for the love of God...never send anyone there unless you truly hate them that much...
This is a awful place. My daughter was sent here after major back surgery . She arrived in the evening and placed in a bed that was to small for her And my daughter is only 5ft4 and weighs about 150lbs so she isnt that big. Then after waiting 45 mins for a bed pan they said they couldn't find one ,so my daughter figured she would just try and get some sleep and maybe when she awakes the bed pan will be found. But they put her in the room that is by the "smoke break" area in the back so people where chatting and coughing out side her window ,then some guy was coughing so hard he almost passed out and feel againt the window. Then to top it all off there was a note on the wall my daughter asked who was the note for? They said some guy died in the room 2 years ago and his wife left him a note.Yes we went and picked my daughter up at 1am . This place has 2 star it doesn't even deserve that.
My father has been in & out of Rehab facilities over the last 2 years, & this 1 he experienced 2 times in the last 6 months. All I can say, is if you have a choice, please DO NOT choose this facilty!' The care was horrific, and the staff was worse! The neglect, lack of compassion, poor attitude, laziness of staff, & over all poor conditions of facility is terrible & scary!!! The night time staff are even worse! Not sure if they are supervised, but regardless their care and attitude are despicable! Quite a scary place if you have an elderly loved one in the hands of this facility & the people who work here! I could go on and provide specifics, but they are not worth any more of my time. If I could give a NEGATIVE star rating I would!"
I can honestly say that the respiratory staff were great and knowledgeable! They took their time with me when I have questions about by grandpa about his respiratory related conditon and they were able to provide him such respiratory modalities that helped his breathing and stay off the ventilator. On the other hand, nursing staff and cnas looks like they were very overworked and doesn't seem as responsive to my grandpa's needs. Despite of it all, I am greatful that my grandpa's respiratory condition is getting better and I am thankful for that!
I was a patient here from October 2017 - January 2018. The nurses were awesome! The food is good too. The therapy facility needs updated, but if it weren't for my PT and OT I wouldn't be able to write this review. I came there after a neck surgery left me with upper paralysis. During surgery I had lost feeling in my legs but they came back leaving me Weak . I had to learn to walk again. The therapy was great I can't express this enough. I would recommend this facility.
My dad went there yesterday and when we got there not even 5 minutes into walking in we see several cockroaches three beetle things every patient is butt naked either sitting in their bed or lying down in the hallway in their bed uncovered with everything hanging out they put a diaper on him without his consent we even asked for him to not be put into a diaper but low and behold when we get there he is already into one no wonder they don't allow visiting hours after 7 because that's when all the patients roam around
I was just recently a patient here at royalsprings My liaison Stephanie was very friendly and extremely helpful , she came to see me at the hospital and everything she said was accurate.I did like the physical therapy department and the activities department was very friendly I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs more help after the hospital
Zero stars. This place has bad vibes. It's filthy, crowded and for some reason has crappy banged-up furniture everywhere. You can sometimes hear the staff yelling at patients in other rooms. I imagine some staff might be nice but the majority seem to have bad attitudes, and this is reflected in their treatment of patients/guests. I can't help but think of this place as an asylum where people get dumped and can't do anything about it. The rooms are tiny. Visiting after 7pm is not allowed. No one really cares. You feel ignored. The staff seems incompetent/negligent.
DON emy Ancheta is incompetent. Interviewed me for an LPN job. She asked:" what is the priority if your patient has G tube?"I answered," make sure I check for patency and placement". DON answered," you're wrong! It's mouth care because your pt is NPO". I know mouth care is important in patients w gtube. It needs to get done too. However, checking patency should be priority. Also, she said pts are NPO if they have gtube.DON does not know that not all pts w gtube are NPO. They can be eating by mouth but has gtube for supplemental feedings. DON told HR not to hire me bc she thought I answered the question wrong. It's pathetic that the DON is clueless and dumb. I don't want to work in a facility that does not promote educational growth of employees. The DON is far behind with knowledge and skills. I wonder how the rest of the nursing staff are knowing that the DON does not know proper nursing care. She needs to go back to nursing 101. I also heard screaming and yelling while being interviewed. The DON had a loud mouth and tactless. The atmosphere in the facility was tensed, cold, and demeaning. I don't want to be a part of this facility. I met the administrator too. He presented himself to be too conceited. He asked if I am filipino and I said," no".. then he just turned his back away. He said, " I would hire you if you are filipino". Too much harassment experienced during the interview process. Not my kind of work place. Not recommending anyone to work at Royal Springs.
If I could give them zero stars I would. I reluctantly had to place my mother here and I can't wait until I can safely place her somewhere else. The staff here barely speaks a word of English and whenever I asked where my moms nurse was "oh she's on her break and won't be back for at least 30 mins" I was then referred to speak to the nursing director who informed me that her nurse wasn't on break she just didn't want to administer my moms medication at that time. My mom would ring her call bell and it would r be answered for hours!! I didn't see her health decline this much in years and she was in immense amounts of pain. If you can go ANYWHERE else please do. This place while a care facility is poorly run and the patients don't thrive here as they should.
Worst rehab healthcare facility I've seen and experienced with my loved one. When we arrived with our family member after a hospital stay, the room they took us to was "filthy" which was an understatement. Let's start with snot and boogers on the wall next to bed, dirty sheet linens that were just pulled from the bed and thrown on the floor in front of bed. They were no longer all "white" mind you but I won't go into detail there but it was disgusting!! No sheets were on the bed provided and mattress was covered in vinyl. The bed was all metal and looked like a 1942 bed which had a wired control that the shield casing which had been pinched and several exposed wires were hanging out. The room was very dimly lit with low wattage bulbs. Furniture was really beat up. I witnessed dirty tables and chairs in dining room in late afternoon with used band-aids lying on tables and chairs that had old & new food on them. I was afraid to sit down. Just the worst nightmare you could imagine. The halls smelled something awful and floors were dirty. They gave my loved one wrong insulin, non-diabetic meals, and we had to go through the director of nursing to speak to a Dr. who finally sent my loved one for MRI to see what was going on after 72 hrs of being non-responsive only to find out they had a stroke and a bad UTI after a week there. That was a blessing in a way being sent to the hospital finally. A complete atrocity so if you can avoid your loved one coming there, please do everything in your power you can to appeal or find another place on your insurance list. This place tops THE WORST out of the 4 rehabilitation healthcare places we've been too. The staff was no help even after arranging 2 meetings with the director or nursing and other staff admin to tell them what we witnessed. I'm shocked this place hasn't been shut completely down.
My husband was a patient here. He has been in several rehabs with Royal Springs being at the top of his list. They honestly seem to care about their patients and provided him with great service. He wasn't keen on the food, but they fed him well. They tried to accommodate his every need (and believe me, he had many) and their physical therapists made him work hard (which he needed) and did their jobs well. I was impressed with the service that he received here as compared to some of the other rehab facilities. Kudos to all of the workers; CNA's, nurses, doctors, therapists and case managers.
My good friend, who is suffering from Alzheimer's-type dementia was sent here for some physical rehabilitation.I cannot imagine how they could improve this place. The staff is completely committed to the comfort and well-being of the patient, the facilities are clean, well-maintained, and cheerful.Even though my friend is an almost extreme example of a "difficult case", the staff at Royal Springs exhibited a tendency to "bend but not break" and the most amazing display of human kindness I have ever witnessed.Good job Royal Springs, we are forever in your debt.
Would give zero stars if I could. My grandma with Alzheimer's has been staying here for well over 5 years, aside from her clothes getting lost all the time; she also broke her ankle here. My grandma is immobile and unresponsive, so someone broke her ankle, while moving her. This would never happen if proper precautions would have been taken. Even more so, my grandpa who visits her everyday tripped and fell on a box someone left in the hallway. He dislocated his shoulder and had to have surgery on it, a surgery that could have killed him being 90 years old.The negligence by the staff here is unreal. Stay away if you care about your loved ones.
My dad is in here after recovering from a stroke 4 years ago. He's recently started using the bathroom on himself because he's not able to really vocalize when he needs to go. They've placed him in diapers and barely change him. I've tried calling him several times and they've sent me to other rooms that weren't his. Today I've called him and they sent me to "his room" just for no one to answer and they transferred me to the nurse's station to leave a message for him. I told the person who answered that I was trying to leave a message with my dad and they asked me for his name. Then they asked me who was I and what relation was I to him like I didn't just say I'm trying to get in touch with MY DAD. After I stated my name and told them I was his daughter, they said they would get the message to him and hung up without asking me if I had any other requests or messages. They also told me they had no record of me being his daughter on their records. Like I would just randomly call up and say someone is my father.
They put my wife in a so called clean bed that had a pillow covered in yellow stains as well as dark stains on the bottom sheet. When this was brought to there attention they said it was bleached and cleaned there for ok. This place is purehell for anyone left here. There was a man in a wheel chair going up and down the womens wing just looking into rooms. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!
Worst place to send your love ones . They stole my father's wallet with $600 in it claimed he never had a wallet, they stole his phone , his cane , and lied about administering medication. , I witnessed them ignoring patients calls for help or assistance, they keep them overly medicated. All patients can barley speak . Nobody answers the phone and when they do they would transfer me to my father's room witch had no phone at all ., I've left messages for staff and coordinator . I've witnessed them manually feeding patients fast and ruff hardly giving them time to breath . The worst place ever !
That need to shut down they don't have protocols in place no directors on the property ask questions and they can't answer file a complaint against a staff thay push from one staff to another staff to another staff they won't tell you which one or who the director you can find a high-end to take or make your complaints thay put hands on patients verbal abuse and hitting and lay hands on just because they're mad and upset do not send friends are friendly there 😡😠😠
If I could give them ZERO stars I would. What a joke of a facility to care for ANYONE. My first visit to this place was a disaster. My grandmother who stayed here for only a few days while pending a transfer to a group home had a broken wrist. While visiting her, a nurse came in and grabbed her broken wrist, we had to remind the nurse that her wrist is broken and to not grab that arm as she also tried to take her blood pressure on the same arm. The nurse seemed absolutely lost about what she was doing and what is going on around her. Secondly, my grandmother who is 94 years old with advanced dementia was scheduled to be transferred Wednesday to her new group home. On Tuesday the day before her scheduled transfer she was released without notifying any of her family including her power of attorney that they discharged her and took her to the WRONG group home. She was finally located, traumatized, barely understanding where she was or what was happening. The director and head nurse refuse to speak with anyone about this incident. This place should be closed, I can only imagine what the poor patients go through that are there long term. I'd advise to stay far far away from this facility.
I had a very good experience that my therapist Mo and Mike were the best and that I wouldn't walking today if it wasn't for there dedication and skills and professionalism and for Anna and Sandra my CNA's courage for the things they new i can do but I didn't believe I could. Cheri Morse
I don’t know how many people work here but I brought my mom in at 6:00 pm to get her bed sore healed and no one even acknowledged us showing up. It’s been 2 1/2 weeks and someone from admissions just showed up with papers for mom to sign!! This place is horrible. Needless to stay it takes about 1 hour for a cna to show up to moms room after pushing the button for help or if you go to the nurses station in the center there are at least 3 cnas sitting there laughing with each other on their phones??!! And look down the halls and almost every light is on for help. These people are not here to help just for their paycheck!!!
DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES GO HERE. A medical board needs to review and pull their license. They have no clue what is going on with the patients and do not want to be bothered. You ask who the nurse is and they don't know. They say drink water, but there is nothing with water near by for the patient to drink and aren't seeing if liquids are being drank. Sheets were covered with dirt and hair. Fingers were covered with dirt or blood. Diabetic...and they serve chocolate milk, juice ,and fruit and say they are eating. I repeat. DO NOT SEND LOVED ONES THERE..or your worst enemy. It's a sad horrible place. These reviews are all correct. Negative if it was possible.
PLEASE DO NOT send your loved one to this facility. The director of nursing is most unprofessional and certainly beyond her station in life. It is extremely hard to get someone to Converse in English most of the time the staff is jabbering in their native tongue. I urge you to speak to others that have had a experience with this facility you will uncover many horror stories
I was so hoping that the reviews were wrong but unfortunately after only two days they are absolutely right this place is very very bad in every way you can imagine so my wife will have to self check her. Self. out of there a I'm not sure we're going to do she will not make it there
Poor, Poor Administration, My daughter who is diabetic was in this facility in April 2019 for a infection that they were to treat and when she got there they didn't ask her if she had dentures they just assumed she didn't so when they lost her dentures and realized that this was there fault they ask me to send them the invoice which I did because she just got these dentures less then 8 months before she came to Royal Springs Healthcare. I am still trying to get them to send the dentist the check after they said that they would after 2 months of fighting with them, then on June 5, 2019 I received a call from there admin that they would send the check and still nothing I called on 06/17 and that admin is no longer working there!!!!! and I am not getting any return phone calls. My daughter is in and out of the hospital because her sugar keeps dropping during the night while she is sleeping. My daughter can't eat properly because she has no bottom dentures and I am so afraid that her sugar is going to drop so low we can't get her back. What is a mother to do when she see's her daughter at the mercy of another healthcare provider same on you. I didn't want to give them any stars but it wouldn't let me.
