A Beautiful place to be cooped up in. My room was not only adequate but was beautifully appointed. A nice large room and bathroom but could have been cleaned without asking for it to be. The meals were delicious, unusual, and well presented. Can you say "gourmet".Rehab personnel were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and there was plenty of equipment to go around. If you couldn't make it to the gym they would tote that heavy equipment to your room. I'd say that was above and beyond the call of duty.A very serious flaw and the reason for only four stars was the answering of your call light. Sometimes it was up to an hour before they answered your call. Bad bad bad. However, medication was given at prescribed times And meals were served on time.
I was admitted for a broken leg(femur) which was very complicated.i was transferred from southern hill hospital to advanced care. When I entered the building , I was impressed. Very classy interior and high ceilings. The room was private and bright. That was the end of anything positive. Nurses did not know why I was there and kept lifting my broken leg which sent horrible pain all over my leg. I was not able to get up to go to the bathroom, so I needed help with the bedpan. I would ring the bell but it took forever for cna or anyone to come . When they finally showed up, their remark was "YEA"!"What do you need". Ofcourse not all of them were like that. I had a painful and itchy wound (blister) behind my thigh, wanted the nurse to look at it, when I called for her, her response was" the wound nurse will be in tomorrow', she will take a look at it," I said I'm in pain, I can't wait till tomorrow. Will you please just take a look at it. Again, her response was rake your brace off then."I was appalled that a nurse has the nerve to respond like that.I tried to keep my cool for for week and a have, but it was getting very close to exploding.I could hear patients yelling for help not just one, there was more. This went on for a long time day and night. When I questioned this, thier response was "she or he has dementia and is always yelling". It is very sad to hear "help, help" and no one is comingThe food was not good, but tolerable. Doctors would come in for 60 seconds, look at the leg and recommend ice and leave. The ice never showed up. Recommend X-ray and ultra sound but it took them 3 days to show up.I don't wish my worst enemy to be admitted to this facility. Please do your research before you send your loved one to to rehabThank you.Ps, I could go on and on, but you get my point.q
This is the worst ripoff in the world $750 a day out of pocket and no service. Was left on the toilet for over 30 minutes after pulling the cord for help. Spent 5 days in there and only saw a PT therapist for about 30 minutes and she did nothing. Had to scream at the nurses as they walked by room for any service and half the time they ignored you. The only reason I gave them one star is one of the nurses was friendly. Other ones said don't bother me I'm busy. They were busy doing nothing. If you hate your loved ones send them to this facility and make sure you can afford the no care. Ripoff, Ripoff, Ripoff.
This amazing group of folks took care of my Uncle back in January. The medical staff, the support staff, all the way to janitors were all amazing. The facility is gorgeous and even the patients had great attitudes, likely due to the positivity of all the people that work there. Thanks for a great experience!
My father, who has since passed away, fell and broke his hip and collar bone two years ago. I searched high and low to make sure he was sent to the "best" facility I could find. I thought I had researched as best I could, even touring this place while he was still at St Rose.I was so impressed by the beautiful room. I thought it would be helpful to have him stay in an environment that felt like home. Compared to other facilities, the rooms here were the nicest I'd seen.I wish I'd never sent him here. The neglect he experienced on a daily basis was disgusting. He suffered daily here and I can't count how many times I showed up to visit, only to find him sitting in soiled sheets. I'm giving two stars because he did have his own room and the room itself was very nice. Please do your research before sending your loved one here.
My mom was sent here after a hospital stay. I will say overall her care has been good, especially by the CNAs, but I have also been disappointed in a lot of things. The place is very nicely decorated and has friendly staff but they don't always respond quickly to a patient pressing their call button. They don't always answer the phone. They did catch a medicine mistake that came from the hospital but they also had her on quite a few meds that were causing hallucinations and making her sleep all the time. And they don't 100% seem to know how to manage a type 1 Diabetic with insulin. My mom was definitely a difficult case and experienced a lot of setbacks when she was first there, including getting Shingle (I think that may have started in the hospital). But I think they could have been a bit more forceful with her and made her do her PT more. And now that she has been there awhile, they are ready to discharge her even though I don't think she is ready. Its all about getting paid by Medicare. If she does not do her PT, they do not get paid. So now I have to move her to another facility so she can continue to get care. So I think if you need minor care like after a hip replacement, this place is good. But for a more severe case like my mom's, some place else would have been better, or a longer hospital stay to begin with.
This was my 1 st time ever at a rehab center post surgery. I was told this place was like a four star hotel, I feel they are a FIVE STAR HOTEL. Each of the staff are not only good but exceptional in delivering care and very attentive to every need. The food is comparative to a gourmet restaurant. No powdered or "carton" eggs here. Fresh and made to order. Can't say thank you enough. LDR
Advanced Health Care of Las Vegas is the best! I was there following a total hip replacement. The care was provided by a top rated staff all around. From the CNA's (especially Pirita!) to the Nurses (Suzie!) to the Admin staff (Nick) the care couldn't have been better. The wound care of my incision was daily and it was excellent. The therapists have a gym filled with top rated equipment. Nick, Anna-Belle, and Brenden worked with me either once or twice per day depression on how I was feeling. Their therapy included both in and outdoor treatments. And the food can't be beat elsewhere in a hospital setting. Best. In. Las. Vegas. Chef Deb is a jewel! I love her! Plus, the grounds and the attention to detail inside of the facility can't be beat. It's downright beautiful. You won't be sorry if you choose AHC for yourself or a loved one!!
My mom has been terminally ill for 6 months and their healthcare has been below average. They miss important blood tests and are generally unreliable. Changing dates missing appointments or just late. Try someone else for a loved family member. They have some good people at times the service is good. But they also have some very unreliable personnel as well. David
This facility really is the best of the best. My husband was there for almost three weeks while recovering from an infection. Everyone there, the nurses, therapists, office staff, kitchen staff...everyone was such a great help. They were always there to answer questions or explain something I didn't understand and they got him well enough to return home with me. Then they set up nurses to come out to the house to make sure he was still doing alright. They really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed but most importantly, they made sure he got well again. If we ever need that type of care again we will definitely be going back.
I can't say enough about how great this facility was for my husband's recovery. All of the personnel are caring and conscientious. The pt team did a fabulous job getting him going! The nurses, both RN and CNA were readily available, good-natured, expert and efficient. The food was good and tailored to his tastes.
Don't judge this book by its cover. When you first enter Advanced this Utah based family owned company shows very well. However, beyond the fancy pictures on the wall and the nice furniture lies the true story. During my 90 day stay here I witnessed some of the most outrageous things like long response times to call lights, sometimes upward of 45 minutes; CNA's that do not work together well; patients needs not being met. Out of over 200 meals, less than 5 were served at an appropriate temperature. The quality of the food was awful. The company boasts about their executive chef but this person should not be allowed to cook at McDonalds. I've attached pictures of the horrible meals I was served. Amongst other things the kitchen would run out of normal everyday staples such as butter, ketchup, eggs, etc. pretty much on a daily basis. Despite numerous attempts to resolve these issues with the kitchen manager to no avail. In addition, the facility constantly ran out of supplies such as adult diapers, soap, sheets that fit the bed, and the CNA's were extremely rude with the exception of Brenda, who was the only compassionate employee at the facility. The Director of Nursing was extremely confrontational with patients, rude, and downright arrogant, and it became obvious she was protecting certain members of her staff rather than caring for her patients. My only saving grace was Miss Brenda, who's work ethics would not allow her to align herself with the others, did a wonderful job. This facility advertises itself as a five star Medicare Facility, however, there's nothing five star about it. Once you get passed the façade, you'll learn the truth how this place really works. The nurses are also uncaring and not compassionate. Patients were heard screaming for help all night long and the staff would ignore them. On one occasion a female from another room walked passed an RN and entered my room trying to crawl in bed with me. I was outraged by the fact that the nurse did not make an effort to stop the patient and just called for a CNA to come deal with it. For a place that boasts that their rates are $650 a night, they should be able to provide more compassionate people, better food, and better security. However it's obvious this mismanaged facility is more interested in the money than patient care. The doctors at this facility are probably the biggest cons around. I was followed by 2 doctors who would come in, within minutes of each other, would spend 60 seconds with me maybe, would not even exam me, and billed Medicare for over $200 each visit. What a Joke!!!The therapists at this facility are no better. Patients are taken to the therapy room in large numbers with many sleeping during therapy sessions. One lady well into her 90's was slumped over and passed out on a piece of exercise equipment and was not attended to by staff for over 20 minutes. In October the Director of Physical Therapy, Marie, came to my room. During the therapy session I explained I was tiring and needed to rest but she was insistent that I keep going. After repeatedly telling Marie that I was going to collapse, she insisted I keep moving until she dropped me on the floor, causing my legs to get pinned against the bed, and needed a mechanical apparatus to extract me from the floor. Then she had the nerve to make a comment - "I just wanted to see what you were capable of, I guess I saw."There are far better options in Las Vegas than this Utah run joke that's all about the money and not about your loved ones health. Although most of these places are horrible, perhaps Advanced is slightly better than most, but far from a 5 star facility as they would like you to believe.
WARNING - If you or your loved one is sensitive to chemical smells do not stay here. There is a Glade Plug In in every electrical outlet in the building. I am not exaggerating - I looked. It's awful for "sensitives" such as my mom and myself. I was able to negotiate with Nick, general manager, to remove the plug-ins from the hall where my mom was. I did not find one in her room.Getting the scent out of the way, the facility is lovely. The décor is nice. The beds are amazing for any medical facility. My mom's room was clean. The TV's are small and the Direct TV package is lacking. Is this important? YES it is if you're going to be there more than a week.RN's Tess & Maria were very kind and attentive. CNA Judy is the BEST! These women were kind and caring toward me and my mom. I believe she was cared for very well by the medical staff. Dr. Sonpadki (sp) was very kind and knowledgeable. The physical therapists seemed kind and knowledgeable. PT - Kelly was a great help in telling me to look at Goodwill for a stand-up walker. I scored a new one for $8.87 rather than $65 at a medical supply store. The meals were a bit "fancy" for the elderly in my opinion. There are specific breakfast, lunch and dinner menus daily. The meals sounded good, but it's a limited selection and she couldn't eat the majority of the food. Two protein choices a day would have been nice rather than here is the meal-of-the day. The cooks had a terrible time cooking for my mom who has several dietary concerns. Allergic to dairy, eggs, doesn't eat pork/beef, etc. The new nutritionist, Milly, was very concerned that my mom wasn't eating and that there were many issues. I can almost guarantee Milly has fixed the problems. Family/Friends can eat with their loved ones for $10 a meal. If you do not have allergies to chemical scents and can eat anything then this place will be a good fit. The facility is homey and pleasant. The staff was kind and caring. Those beds were GREAT!
Stay away!! Wish I read reviews before I allowed my gramma to come here. Cna was rude to my gramma first day there. She called in the middle of the night for help and no one came. She pushed the call button 5 times!!! Pt was good but no occupational therapy. Mind u my gramma is 94 yrs old and uses a walker. No help whatsoever she fell around 4pm in the restroom being that from day 1 she was on her own and no one would help using bathroom. She pulled the cord for help and no one came. She pulled again no one came. She crawled out of the bathroom and to the doorway to call for help!! Unbelievable!! They told her they didn't come because they were in a meeting at the time. Wtf?!?!If u love ur people don't bring them here
Terrible place. Understaffed and overwhelmed and don't reply to nurse calls. One nurse I spoke to was very rude and inconsiderate. I asked questions about my loved one and she questioned me and got all defensive. I don't trust keeping my loved one here and you shouldn't either. Find a better place.
Let me start by saying this is the third revision of a total left knee... not easy for anyone but the caring staff and incredible physical therapy at this facility got me through it with flying colors!! So compassionate and professional ... they treat the whole patient body and mind. I was there thirty days and made remarkable progress. The last rehab I was in was from "Cuckoos Nest " this facility and staff deserve ten stars! TY
My father stayed at their 2 facilities here in Vegas, due to a broken hip. Great facilities with friendly staff. The only issue I encountered and still remain is, if you have an out of state Blue Cross, for example HMSA of Hawaii exoect to pay in advance. We were told that, so had to pay in advance. Now I'm trying to get my reimbursement back with no cooperation. Don't know why we had to pay in advance as Blue Cross of NV pays directly to Advanc
My great grandmother stayed here twice once for a collapsed lung and now rehab for her hip replacement on both occasion she loved it I have absolutely no complaints . Mikey by far was the most helpful with my grandma he always keeps her spirts up and takes care of her 💕she always speaks so highly of him and honestly I trust this place with my grandma to the fullest I requested her to be referred there after her first visit and I would definitely send her again if needed
Just spent a little over three weeks at Advanced Health care of Las Vegas, the care I received was exceptional, I took my first steps in almost three years, the physical therapist preformed above and beyond their duties it was simple all you had to do was work with them instead of fighting them , The C N As are the best all around the nurses did precision work around the clock , the food was great and if you didn't like something all you had to do was let them know and they would take care of it , and the social workers and staff go out of their way for you , I felt lucky to be there . I would recommend this place to everyone I really hated to leave, this please ran like a well oiled machine, wasn't a perfect place but let them know and they'll try to make perfect,
My husband was a patient here. Each step of his care was well managed. The doctor was kind and informative, the nurse gave important care, the physical therapist and occupational therapist worked with him to get him mobile and feeling better after a lengthy hospital stay. The CNA was diligent in keeping him clean and comfortable. He was given great food and the facility was pleasant and accommodating. It was during the holiday and family that came into town was able to easily visit and comfort my husband. I was so impressed with Advanced Health Care that I continue to recommend other patients to consider using them for their care.
