The Westside Care Center, a nursing home, unfortunately has a rather poor overall standing with only a 1-star rating, which is the lowest possible. This rank places it in the bottom 20% of all facilities, a rating that is lower than the state average. Additionally, the nursing home's health inspection rating is also dismal, with only a 1-star rating. This places it among the bottom 10% of facilities in terms of health inspection, a score that falls below the state average. However, it's worth noting that the Westside Care Center has an above average 4-star quality rating, which is the second highest achievable. This high mark places it in the top half of facilities for quality rating, a level that is marginally higher than the state average.Staff Ratings
Westside Care Center, a local nursing home, holds a less than satisfactory 2-star staff rating, placing it amongst the lower ranked facilities. In the area of nursing aid staffing hours, it falls within the bottom 40% of facilities, only providing 1.93 hours per resident per day, unfortunately falling below the state's standard of 2.14 hours. However, it fares better in the domain of LPN staffing hours, reaching above the state’s average at 0.88 hours per resident per day, against the state's 0.82, positioning it in the top half of similar care centers. Despite this, the care center lags in the areas of RN staffing and licensed staffing hours per resident per day, falling into the bottom 20% of facilities for both areas, providing only 0.31 RN staffing hours (below the state's 0.72) and 1.19 licensed staffing hours (below the state's 1.55) respectively. In fact, it performs in the bottom 20% of facilities with a resident vaccination rate of just 40.7%, significantly lower than the state average of 68.5%. Furthermore, this facility is also underperforming in terms of staff vaccination rates, being ranked in the bottom 40% of nursing homes. The staff vaccination rate stands at a paltry 10.3%, as opposed to the state average of 24.1%. This low rate signifies that both residents and staff are under-vaccinated compared to other facilities, leaving them at potentially higher risk of disease transmission.Quality Measures
The Westside Care Center has been recognized with a 4-star quality measure rating, placing it among the top tier nursing homes. It's noteworthy, however, that the Center falls into the bottom 40% with regards to residents experiencing one or more major injury-causing falls, with a rate of 4.13% which is slightly higher than the state average of 3.44%. On a positive note, the Center performs exceptionally in managing weight loss among residents, boasting a slim 3.54% of residents losing too much weight which places it in the top 30% and is well below the state average of 7.02%. Similarly, it falls within the top 30% for its lower-than-average antipsychotic medication administration, with a rate of 8.31% as opposed to the state's 16.09%. While their 96.91% flu vaccine administration rate is higher than the state's 92.71%, it still places them in the lower half when compared to other facilities. They also fall into the bottom 40% when considering the proportion of residents whose need for assistance with daily activities has grown to 17.27%, which slightly surpasses the state's rate of 16.95%.Healthcare Nearby

Management went out of their way to help get my son there on a Friday. The team there have all been excellent and have been great at there jobs. This I Care establishment is one that I would recommend to anyone looking for a rehab place to get the service they need to help them recover. Also the grounds are well kept and the interior of the building is very cheery. Nice place to recuperate.D.G.
This place is an embarrassment to healthcare! As a patient I was forced to go to the bathroom in a trash bag because they have no way to clean bed pans. I have both legs broken. One arm broken and a broken back. Bedside manner is non existent. The food is boiled (steamed). You share a room with people who are a little crazy. I'm already on a transfer list. There are flies everywhere. Cleanliness is non existent. You can hear everyone's shoes sticking to the floor. My friends and family refuse to use the bathroom here. If all you want are drugs shoved down your throat this is the place for you. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!
I was in this facility for 2.1 weeks. Wonderful staff except for physical therapy; That was reason I was there. Since I left and took responsibility for myself I am doing great. No cane. Need a doctor, good luck. I developed a rash and will now after 2 months will need emergency appointment with a dermatologist.Doctors are expensive and this place is owned by a corporation, the bottom line comes before patient and hard working nurses etc(The exception being non existent physical therapy department.)
I found the facility, although somewhat aged, always clean and well-kept. The meals are tasty, nutritous and individually customized for each patient's dietary needs. The entire staff of Westside is first-rate; friendly, caring, patient and professional at all times. The nursing staff and physical therapy staff both earn high marks for making patients feel right at home. I highly recomend Westside Care Center to anyone considering assisted living and/or post-operation rehab.
The pictures posted on the web are extremely polished and do not properly show the current condition of this facility. It's extremely rundown and does not appear to be a rehab but rather a place for people to be forgotten about. I highly recommend not sending your loved ones here.
