Welcome to Westside Care Center! We are so glad to have you here with us. Our caregivers are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. We want to help anyone that comes through our doors. We understand that it can be difficult to place a loved one in an advanced care setting and our goal is to use our knowledge and personal touch to support you however we can. At Westside, compassion is woven into the fabric of our culture and permeates every level of the organization. I am an Administrator who is always willing to help others in whatever way possible.

Memory Care

The Westside Care Center is a top-notch memory care center located in the Greater Hartford area. Our dementia care team at GHMCC is here to guide and support you and your family members through this transition. We're with you every step of the way. When residents are admitted to our program, we assess their specific needs and identify lifestyle patterns that need to be addressed. We then create an individual care plan for each resident.

Rehabilitation

At Westside Care Center, we provide Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Language Therapies seven days a week. The Rehabilitation Department at our facility is equipped with the latest tools and technologies to help residents regain their independence and improve their quality of life. We offer a variety of therapy services that are designed to meet each individual's needs, so they can return to living their best life possible.

Westside Care Center is a skilled nursing facility that provides care in a variety of sub-acute specialties.

Dining

Westside's rotating meal system provides residents with a variety of menu options on a daily basis. If you have a passion for food and want to help shape our menu, then the monthly Menu Committee is perfect for you! All residents are encouraged to participate and share their ideas on what new dishes or items they would like to see. Dietitian-led counseling can help you achieve your nutritional and lifestyle goals. We offer a Fine Dining experience to our residents each month, in addition.

Westside Care Center offers a variety of services to its clients. The Greater Hartford Memory Care Center provides personalized dementia care in a safe and comfortable environment. Skilled nursing and sub-acute specialty programs are available as well as Touchpoints Therapy - Rehabilitation Services, Food Service and Dietary Program, Social Services and Discharge Planning, and Therapeutic Recreation Programs. The center's staff is committed to providing the highest quality of care to each individual.

Memory Care Services and Amenities

At Westside Care Center, residents in need of memory care can benefit from a full-time Program Director and specially-trained supportive staff, as well as comprehensive therapeutic activities. Psychiatric coverage is available, and the facility provides a comfortable, quiet, safe, and secure environment. An enclosed outdoor area is also provided for relaxation and fresh air.

Rehabilitation Services and Amenities

Westside Care Center offers a variety of rehabilitation services and amenities for its patients. Ambulation training is offered to help improve the patient's walking ability. Cognitive retraining helps improve memory, reasoning, and problem solving skills. Activities of daily living are also available to help with independence and self-care. Endurance training can help increase physical stamina and energy. Cardio/pulmonary rehabilitation helps improve breathing ability and circulation. All these services are available to help patients regain their independence and quality of life.

Westside Care Center offers a range of skilled nursing services and amenities to meet various healthcare needs. Their specialized care includes orthopedic/musculoskeletal rehabilitation, post surgical recovery, stroke and neurology rehabilitation, cardiac recovery, skin and wound management, dialysis/renal care and management, pulmonary care, diabetes management and teaching, dietary/nutritional IV therapy (PICC & Central Lines), wound management respite services CAPD/renal care hospice pain management. Westside Care Center is dedicated to providing the best quality of care for their patients.
