They desperately need a good chef. The food is terrible. The reason why my sister didn't stay. Sad, because it was safer for her.

I definitely do NOT recommend this place for anyone that you love. If I could give negative stars, I  would. We had to send my dad here and about a month into his stay, he had to go to the ER @ St. Patrick's because he was so sick. Turns out he had pneumonia and a very high fever, which went undetected at the Village. Probably because they just left him to rot in his bed. He wasn't able to walk, due to a tumor, and St. Patrick's found multiple stage 2 bedsores on him. He passed away at St. Patrick's from complications caused by fever, pneumonia, and a virus that he contracted while in his weakened condition. I blame the Village for his death because if they had been checking in on him like they are SUPPOSED to, he probably wouldn't have gotten so sick and weak. They can't deny they neglected him because he had bedsores from never being moved. Other signs of the Village's neglect and negligence: My sister visited a couple of times and once he was covered in food because they had left him in a laying position (because his bed was broken, and they didn't attempt to fix it or switch it out while he was there) and dropped his food tray on him and went away, so he was trying to eat all by himself, laying down (probably contributed to his pneumonia). He was also wearing soiled garments because nobody had been in to change him. My sister said that our dad told her they only bathed him about twice a week. Combine this with the fact that they let him get covered in food and waste, and it is intolerable. Our family was in a desperate situation because of my dad's tumor and how quickly it advanced and we felt lucky to be able to get him into the Village, but had we known what an AWFUL place it is, we'd never have sent him there. Please do not trust the Village to care for your loved one. I wish we hadn't.

I can't say enough about the Village Senior!!! The precious caregivers to the wonderful, loving management team are all just top notch! They had a turn over in management (much needed) and the new team is so wonderful , they love on my momma and I am so thankful that The Goodman Group got rid of the old ED and Nurse. they care nothing about the residents. I would recommend Village senior if your loved one needs Assisted Living.

My dad has been here 4 years. The atmosphere is cheery and bright. The staff are magnificent. The food is excellent with a good variety to choose from. Additionally, the daily calendar offers a wide variety of activities including outings to band concerts & day trips, exercise classes, special music programs, birthday and special event parties, and a variety of card and board game opportunities. I highly recommend The Village Senior Residence.

Can't wait to get my parents out of this place. Meals are not fit for a dog. Have to buy groceries for them to cook their own. I feel sorry for the seniors that don't have that option or ability. Executive staff is unwilling to correct or even admit their is a problem. At the price for rent this is unacceptable. They don't even discount rent if they don't eat the meals so expect an added expense.
