I came in believing this place was the most beautiful yet to ever see or step foot in. I thought the people I first meet as co workers were even more lovely than any I've ever met. I took time in my previous position as a training lead Server to perfect my outline on the residents I've come to know. I loved every one of them. It was a short time I was employed but, just enough time to feel like each and every resident was like a loved one to me. Which made me love my job more. However, after all of my efforts and hard training I was unfortunately let go, due to unjustified reasons without warning prior to my termination. Not only that my boss was aggressive at the scene and made me feel unwanted, taken advantage of and misunderstood poorly. In some way I feel cheated, lied too, and used. I came in with a smile every day. Said hello as I always did. Greeted each and every resident and did my job as I could even if I was sick or sore or depressed. I tried my hardest and I was still taken for granted for my efforts into trying harder to better myself in the position I was previously given. I didn't even get to say goodbye to the residents, and felt like I lost my family. My point being is that the management I knew was secretly shaded, which is very unprofessional. Didn't take the time to discuss my flaws that lead to a unjustified and unprofessional termination. The aggressiveness my boss had towards me was uncalled for because I have him no reason to be overly assertive the way he was towards me. Yes I thought about appealing in court against the matter but, happen to be a more decent person than this situation it's really not worth my time. I was extremely overwhelmed and hurt, and devastated to see that my bosses didn't care enough to try and show me how to do better or learn more on the job. Simply went by camera observation or by word of the mouth of others instead of confronting me first. It's very unprofessional to assume than resolve by step by step rules than quickly fire wrongfully. Thx for opportunity I hope the next individual doesn't get what I was dealt right before Christmas. Without real explanation.
I'm in my second week at The SPRINGS in Missoula Montana.I love my 2 bedroom 2 bath place.I love the food. They have an excellent chef. The STAFF has been so helpful and pleasant and I appreciate each person. They clean my room and make or change my bed as I desire. 🙌The courtyard is lovely with lots of mature trees and bushes. The place is CLEAN.There are tons of activities in which to participate.Did I mention the food...yum!It's peaceful in my room. There's more to say ... but I'm off to play Rumikube.TTFNA grateful & happy residentDee Gould
Is it worth the expense? Ask questions; how much experience and training do the van drivers get, what training do nursing assistants get? Are they state certified or do they learn on the job? Ask about their staffing turnover and why,m. Then call around and compare notes. Call your local ombudsman and find out what residents are really saying about current leadership. Dig deeper before making the decision to move your love one to The Springs. This is not the only place where staff have big hearts and will love your family member.
