If I was able to give it zero stars I would, and this is coming from someone who used to work there. Don’t get me wrong select staff members were great, but others were incompetent. This place should honestly be shut down for not treating there residents with enough care and attention, and especially for the staff the run down through because they can’t show one ounce of appreciation, and let me not get started on how they had workers working there with no certification!!!!
My mother was a patient there. They had her in a wheelchair sitting by the nurses station all day. No interaction with anyone. It is pathetic. They don't put alarms on the beds so people who are fall risks end up on the floor. She was there for 10 days and she fell out of bed requiring stitches in her head. They only knew she fell because of the ladies in the room across the hall heard her hit the floor and summoned help. We took her home and now are fighting to get a refund. Please be very careful when choosing a place for your loved one.
Note: most of the people who have left a positive review on this facility currently work for the facility! Don’t let them fool you!If you would like your loved one to receive bottom of the barrel care, this is the place to send them! They have overmedicated multiple patients to the point where they are put on hospice who gives them morphine-the death drug. I work with them through an outside agency. They are always understaffed and overworked.I have gone in on more than one occasion and the hallways smell like urine.I would never put my worst enemy in this facility!!I have received multiple complaints from clients and their families about this facility.
Orchard Grove is terrible. Straightforward enough? To start, it seems that they are always working short. The CNAs are running ragged. My loved one had to wait 40 minutes to use the bathroom. A sweet little nurse with glasses finally ended up helping her. The nurse apologized perfusly, stopped what she was doing, locked her cart and helped us. CNAs are never anywhere to be found. My loved one stated that this was a daily occurence. Call bell on and noone to help. How can you run a nursing home without proper staffing?? Esp. W.out CNAs??? Her room was filthy. They "cleaned" everyday, if that's what you call running a mop on the floor. They didnt even clean her bedside tabletop or dust anything. There are a few "diamonds"in the ruff. Not many though.
