Employee Reviews for Edgewood Healthcare in Boise, Idaho
3 out of 5 stars. Based on 6 reviews
Employees of Edgewood Healthcare in the Boise, ID area generally have positive things to say about the training they receive and the great coworkers and residents. However, many employees have reported a high amount of turnover due to the workload of patient admits, especially in the memory care units. Additionally, employees have reported poor treatment from managers, low pay for the amount of work required, lack of teamwork, many items in disrepair with no effort to repair or replace them, foul language by members of the staff, and a company that was more interested in getting residents in rooms than getting the employees to take proper care of the residents. The new Director is unapproachable, even if an employee is having issues with their manager they couldn’t approach the Director to help get it solved. While the company does provide support to help new employees settle in, the job can be quite over-whelming due to the lack of staff. Additionally, employees have reported a hostile work environment where they only hear the bad and never the good. On the other hand, employees have praised the Executive Director for being nice to work for and the residents for always giving compliments and thank yous.Employee Reviews for Edgewood Healthcare
2.9 out of 5 stars. Based on 408 reviews
Employees generally have positive things to say about working for Edgewood Healthcare. They appreciate the hard work of some of their colleagues and the friendly atmosphere. However, they have some concerns about upper management, who they feel only care about the census, and the lack of competitive pay. They also feel that the company is understaffed and that the residents are not always looked after properly. Employees also note that there is a lot of back-biting and back-stabbing, and that the company is very focused on money and not on the residents or employees. They suggest that management should be more open to other’s thoughts and ideas, pay a living wage, and treat employees with respect.By clicking "Get Exact Costs", you consent to being contacted either by My Caring Plan or our third-party partners at the phone number and contact information provided, including through the use of an automated dialer system. What an awesome place!!! The love and care that the residents get is beyond anything you can imagine. I’m so glad to have my mom there and especially thankful for Becky RN and the excellent care she has shown her!! A very well run facility with a welcoming, warm community vibe. We’re very blessed and grateful for Edgewood Spring Creek Memory Care. ❤️
I feel that my grandfathers rights were trampled. He was told he can no longer see the NP who he has been seeing for medical care. He is forced to switch to a provider who is contracted with the Spring Creek company, so that they can make more money. I called the dept of health and welfare and they confirmed that this is illegal and I looked up the rules: "..The facility can establish reasonable visitation hours, but cannot restrict non-family from visiting the resident, as long as the resident consents to those visits.." and "Residents ahve the right to retain the services of their own physician, dentist or other health care professionals. The exception is, if the resident upon admission has agreed in writing to use a particular service." My grandpa and my mom (his health power of attorney) most certainly did not agree to anything in writing upon admission. I will be making a complaint to the state to report these illegal violations of my elderly grandfathers rights!!!
There will never be appropriate words to express the gratitude my family and I have for Taylor Davis and her accomplished and caring staff. My husband was fortunate enough to be able to move in several weeks ago, much earlier than expected, and the care has been loving and exceptional. I was told once that you can tell the quality of the living environment in an assisted/memory care facility the minute you open the door. That is abundantly felt at Taylor's facility and it resonates immediately to all the professionals working there, and most importantly, to the residents and their smiles. As my husband now says of Taylor and all those caring for him, "I love them and they really love me"! That says it all! Thank you Taylor and all your staff for taking care of the love of my life!!
I completely agree with Mary. This facility has amazing employees. The kitchen, housekeeping, activities, and maintenance are all top notch. Unfortunately, upper management doesn't treat their employees fairly and tends to favor ones over others. Management will even go as far as having her co-workers, friends, and leads submit 5 star reviews all at the same time frame making this overall rating not accurate. With a stronger leader, this place would get an honest 5 star rating.
I may be a bit biased, but I have worked for the company for 5 years, and I am proud of working for the company that I do now, because of our Executive Director. She has made a huge turn around in the company and all for the benefit of the residents and her employees. She continues to help her employees thrive and her residents are always happy. Nursing is attentive, caring and supportive of our residents and the opinions of our staff. The kitchen staff are always smiling and welcoming family members to sit with their loved ones and enjoy the home cooked meals they prepare. The housekeeping is phenomenal, the rooms are always kept up. The building has an overall positive vibe to it and I wouldn't want anywhere else for my family member to live or thrive. Activities are excellent! They are always doing something, whether it is big or small. It truly is a great place to work and to be appreciated and loved. Every part of our team makes this building operate accordingly and lovingly. Thanks to our amazing team, our building wouldn't thrive like it does. I couldn't say enough about our team. I could, but it'd end up being a book! :)
I love this place!!They truly and whole heartily love each and every resident!! The facility is always clean and happy!! I love when I come in and seeing every resident clean, happy and participating in the activities that happen all day every day!! The food they sever is wonderful taste just like mama's home cooking!! This is a great place to put your love ones!!
Full of unconditional love, support, and kindness, Ms. Taylor Davis is such a blessing to everyone she meets. Her residents and coworkers are on the forefront of her mind 24/7 and that is made obvious by her constant actions of care in addition to her quick responses to requests and questions. With her genuine heart and love for people she goes above and beyond making sure everyone is taken care of. I couldn't ask for a more wonderful person to watch over my loved ones. Thank you Taylor, you are truly loved and appreciated by so many.
I love where I work the environment is such a loving and positive atmosphere. The residents here at this community are beyond loved and taken care of. The staff here has a true passion for what they do and everyone here is family. I have been in healthcare for a little over 10 years now and by far this is the best memory care in the Treasure Valley. The Activity Director is so amazing keeps the residents creative and busy throughout the day. The Executive Director has the biggest heart for all the residents and employees. She makes sure everyone is taken care of and has all the resources available that they need or might need. She also LOVES TO GIVE HUGS (come prepared). Kitchen staff make homemade meals that are really yummy. The residents, family, and staff all love the food. Also A++ to the Housekeeper she keeps everything looking great. Overall fantastic place to put your loved one, fantastic place to work. Come on in anytime for a tour you will love it as much as I do !!!
