Employee Reviews for Holiday Retirement in Boise, Idaho
4.5 out of 5 stars. Based on 2 reviews
Employees in the Boise, ID area have generally positive things to say about working for Holiday Retirement. They appreciate the excellent training and the opportunity to increase their knowledge base. However, they find that some things take a long time to implement, such as upgrades. Employees suggest that management should focus on cross-training the associates, as this would enable more fluidity when people start calling in sick. Additionally, they suggest that the company should focus on providing more flexibility to who can train who. Employees also note that the workload is overwhelming for the amount of time they have, but the pay is very good. On the plus side, they note that the residents are great and the workers are also great. However, they feel that the head office expects too much for what they have.Employee Reviews for Holiday Retirement
2.81 out of 5 stars. Based on 1000 reviews
Employees of Holiday Retirement generally have positive things to say about their experience. They enjoy the residents and building staff, and appreciate the bonus structure and autonomy they are given. However, they also report issues with pay, long hours, lack of effort from upper management, and lack of growth opportunities. They suggest that management should improve benefits, hire and train good people, and be more realistic about rates. They also suggest that management should be more understanding of employees and show genuine care for them. Finally, they suggest that management should focus on the residents and staff rather than how much money they are making.Healthcare Nearby

My mom feels safe and cared for at the Chateau. The staff, lead by Jill D, manager, are kind, respectful and show good humor. There does not seem to be a lot of turn over in staff. They stay. They know residents by name and help however they can, going beyond their job at the moment to provide service to residents and care givers. They practice healthy safety precautions and so far there has not been a confirmed case of COVID. They keep residents informed. There are many activities offered inside and bus trips as applicable.Love them!
I am lucky enough to have a friend that works at Chateau de Boise, an assisted living facility. She has invited me on numerous occasions to participate in their activities or share a meal with her. Today I finally accepted her offer for lunch and I'm so grateful that I did. Most of us go through life not really wanting to ever see a rest home or even an assisted living place. This holds true for me anyway, but I've also always wondered what I was going to do when I get to that place in life that I too will need help with what I take for granted now.Today was an eye-opener, to say the least, and extremely edifying. The residents have their own individual apartments which are a plus in my book. I need and enjoy my alone time and privacy. All their meals are prepared by a qualified Chef, they are served in an uptown restaurant-style, and from the looks of things, (The place was pack, not one table not being used.) the residents gather daily at meals, crafts, and other events often.A community within a larger community giving a more personal touch. As I looked around the room I could only imagine the wealth of wisdom and knowledge they share with one another. This made me want to be a part of it all. The good, bad, and ugly!To sum it up, I no longer wonder what I will do when I can no longer do it by myself. I only hope I've got the financial wherewithal to pull it off.Thank you Chateau de Boise for the lovely lunch and great conversation. I'm impressed!
