We researched Canterfield of Kennesaw for about one year (made numerous visits) so when my mom decided she was ready to move, the decision was easy. Within four days of her moving in, she called me and told me she feels like she’s “home”. Mike, Stephanie and the rest of the staff are great and very caring. Since my mom has moved in, my stress level has been reduced because I’m not worrying about her living alone anymore. I highly recommend Canterfield of Kennesaw.

Office staff needs to be replaced. Classless insensitive neglectful unprofessional individuals running this place. High turn over rate with caregivers. Food is horrible (that stud in the kitchen has no prior kitchen management training) Residents clothing are being ruined during wash cycle. Too many falls happening that could’ve been prevented. If you really love your parents and grandparents steer clear of this hell hole!!

My father has been at Canterfield less than a full month but I can't tell you how positive and kind everyone is. We've had loved ones at other places and NONE of them had so many employees that looked happy to do their job. It makes a HUGE difference to the people living there and their families. Thank you to Canterfield of Kennesaw for making this last month and a half with my dad in and out of there, hospital and rehab a bit less painful. Looking forward to my dad enjoying more time there!

My dad has been here since the day after they officially opened. I can you, this is the finest bunch of caregivers I have ever come across. He is 92 and is extremely happy here. Very well taken care of, very attentive staff, from the bottom to the top!! Thank you so much for all you do!!!

Unacceptable....personal hygiene is not a priority as staff does not "notice" wet sheets on bed, wet clothes on residents, etc. Very little interaction; staff spends most of the time talking among themselves. Memory care resident outside with no supervision. Many promises from staff, none of which have been followed through. Very disappointing.UPDATE - management saw the above review and this seemed to be a catalyst for change...things have GREATLY improved...

My mom has been living at Canterfield of Kennesaw's memory care unit for almost a year now, and I have loved the attentiveness and care that the staff provides for her. I looked at several retirement communities before my gut told me that Canterfield was the one. As soon as you walk in, it's bright, well attended, there's activity going on, and overall it's just welcoming.

The facility is less than 18 months old, therefore very modern and clean. The staff is friendly, caring and helpful. There are lots of activities for the residents.

Canterfield of Kennesaw is not only a beautiful, welcoming facility but I have NEVER seen any care takers and employees with a more positive attitude. I've been to many nursing homes, senior living and assisted living places but everyone there seems genuinely happy to be there which makes a HUGE different to those living there and their families. My father was at another place before and he couldn't wait to leave and we hated visiting there because it was dark, unfriendly, etc. At Canterfield, it's a pleasure to have my dad there and happy and take my kids and puppy to visit. Everyone is SO NICE from the front desk, care staff and dining room employees! I simply can't say enough.

The place is fantastic. The residents are great. When I'm there, it always feels like I'm spending time with family. Heck, I've already got my eye on my future apartment.
