Sterling Estates has been wonderful at taking care of our parents since they moved in in June. It is a beautiful facility and the care is top notch! They are thorough and competent with their medical and physical needs. The meals we have had when visiting have been nice and the staff is exceptional! Couldn’t ask for a better team to leave our loved ones with!
My grandfather lives here and so well taken care of. From eating nutritious meals, medication management and helping with daily activities, we don’t have to worry about his safety and loving alone. He has a great group of men he eats meals with and it’s awesome to see him be social again.
There are many terms to describe where I was as a member of the sandwich generation, with overwhelmed and stuck being high on the list. I had been avoiding finding a new home for my parents. Again. A funny thing happened. I met new people at Sterling Estates who listened, cared, and had ideas I didn't care dream were possible. Peace and gratitudehave returned. I am thankful to the owners and staff for the personal attention and support they are providing through this process. My parents look forward to moving into this beautiful facility. Dad says he believes it will extend his life, due to their approach to exercise and healthy living. Lyn L
I visited my family member this past weekend. The facility is very nice and clean. There is a community pool and gym and also cottage homes onsite. They hold events and entertainment; such as bingo and church services, etc. from time to time to keep the community entertained. Miranda S. is a tech/companion; I'm not sure of her title, but she is extremely accommodating and empathetic. I have visited once before and encountered Lisa M. who is the front desk associate. I figured Lisa was just having an off day my first visit, but similar to our first meeting, she was extremely* rude and the one time she was nice it seemed forced because I was obviously not happy with her. Little favors or questions seem to bother her. I would suggest to Lisa that she stop working there if she does not want to do her job she was hired for in the first place.
Our family appreciates the care and commitment the staff shows toward our loved one. We know that Sterling Estates at West Cobb is a special place, because of the people who work there! The leadership and staff are committed to making sure our loved ones stay active, engaged and connected to family by thinking “outside of the box” and finding ways to keep the Sterling community “alive and well” and an enjoyable place to live, during “normal” times and during a pandemic!
I love Sterling Estates. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. My daughter lives five minutes away and we were driving by when I was visiting her from Texas and she said “this is a nice place to live, mom!” I had been looking in Austin where my other two daughters were living and found nothing that I liked. I was looking for a small independent place with two bedrooms and two baths. My daughter and I made an appointment the next day to look at the place. They have cottages here with one or two bedrooms. I loved the upstairs cottage. It had over 2200 square feet with stairs and a private elevator. The next day I took it. I moved here June 1st, 2021 and they were so helpful with anything I wanted done. Their maintenance staff is wonderful. The staff is superb and they are so accommodating. Another thing I liked about Sterling Estates is that it is owned locally and the owners are on campus and accessible. The food is wonderful. They always have a complete menu that you can choose from. Their wellness center is very good. For independents they have yoga, swimming, and aerobics. I even have a personal trainer assigned to me. Sterling also has an assisted living building, a memory care and two other independent apartment buildings. To sum it up, I feel like I am on a cruise! They have so many activities to choose from. I love it here and I highly recommend living here.
My mother was living in an assisted living in another state before she moved to Sterling Estates in March 2021. There is no comparison between that facility and Sterling Estates. Sterling is practically crackling with energy when you enter the front door. Warm and friendly staff are always visible. The Wellness Center and Activities room have become the focal points for my mom. She says she is so busy that the days fly by. By the way, did I mention my mom is almost 94? Her physical and mental health have improved since moving to Sterling Estates. Thanks, Sterling!!!
If I can give more than 5 star I will give this place a 10! I had work in couple of places here in Ga. Memory care and retirement home and this place is one of the best ! Memory care in Sterling is hands down ! The care they give to all the residents , every time they come out in their rooms they look good you can tell that the care partners are spending their time to take care of the residents, The Nurses are caring and has strong ability to empathize with patients from all walks of life .,The food is delicious and healthy , and they look so well prepared like they are eating in the 5 star restaurant from serving breakfast to dinner , they have choices to choose from which I like ! This place is so clean and beautiful. So many activities for the residents , The director of memory care and her team are doing their best to take care of the residents . If you looking for a place for mom ! Don’t look anywhere else because this is the right place
My wife Dee and I moved to Sterling West Cobb recently. We have found the entire Sterling team to be wonderful from the owners, to Senior management, to the employees serving us everyday. The health facilities and staff are world class and we participate in activities almost daily. We love our new cottage and have found the quality of construction to be excellent. With two restaurants available and menus that change frequently including daily specials we have truly enjoyed our meals. With Independent Cottages and Apartments, to Assisted Living facilities to the state of the Art memory care facility Sterling West offers a full spectrum of care as it’s residents age and their needs change. Best of all we have enjoyed getting to know the other residents who have made us feel welcome and an immediate part of the community. Life is excellent at Sterling West!!!
My daughter chose Sterling Estates for me when I was in rehab and I was excited when she told me about pool, wellness department, good food and patio apartment option. At the time the patio apartment was not available so I moved into a Respite too but three weeks later I was able to move into the patio apartment.I love my corner apartment with all the space, privacy and light. I can plant two seasons of flowers all on my own. I have a cat, who all the CNAs love and she loves being here. I just couldn’t ask for anything better. Every single one of staff has been helpful.I like the idea of assisted living because it means I don't have to anything except concentrate on myself and my PT. I have real muscles now and so much more strength and balance. I'm in better shape than I was 10 years ago. I feel like I am aging backward!I have made some great friends here. Everyone that lives here is nice and we have a very diverse group of people and we are all treated equally. I love that.
My children decided that I was too far away (2 hours drive) and worried about be living on the farm after my husband passed. They said "Mom, we want you to be closer." My kids researched and said Sterling was beautiful. They toured with Martha (Community Relations Director) first and immediately fell in love with her. It was hard to think about giving up my home of 42 years but after I toured with Martha (Community Relations Director), I knew this was the place I should be. The Hampton Building wasn't even finished yet but I could tell from looking at the existing apartments and grounds, that it would be beautiful, so we made a deposit. From day one, I have yet to meet an employee that doesn't have a smile and a wonderful sense of humor. Even our housekeeper Chrystal is a saint. Food is out of sight. I take the bus to St. Joes Catholic Church every Sunday and they bring be back just in time for brunch. I'm so spoiled. I take part in the Sterling Strong Wellness Program and I love all the people in the department. Ayles, Wellness Director and her staff are all so sweet and so helpful. I can't walk as well as I used to so they help me to keep my strength up. I enjoy the Happy Hours in our building, especially the Frank Sinatra music and I also enjoy eating breakfast and dinner with the many friends I have made since coming only three months ago.
My mother in law moved in a little over a year ago and it has been a perfect fit. Everyone in the family is more than pleased! My husband and I checked out multiple locations for her to live independently but also with facilities and staff to keep her safe and have a sense if community. There was nothing out there that compared to Sterling Estates. The facilities, events, restaurants and staff are exceptional!
Honestly, I’m challenged to put into words the degree of esteem in which I hold Sterling. I moved my mom into Assisted Living here almost 2-1/2 years ago (after the death of my dad), and have continued to be impressed by this place ever since! The owners clearly have attended to every nuance and detail of this development, the greatest metric of which is the (VERY low!) staff turnover rate. When you get down to brass tacks, if the staff are happy, the residents are happy!I’m about to move my mom from assisted living into the new memory care building, “The Grande.” Knowing what I already do about this enterprise, I — and even my change-resistant mom! — are excited about this prospect.I feel so blessed that we found this “family.” I couldn’t wish for more for my mom, or for myself (someday!).
After 42 years in our former home and a lengthy search for a comfortable home for our retirement years, we found Sterling Estates of West Cobb. We knew immediately that our search was over. The physical facilities, gracious staff, beautifully landscaped groups and friendly neighbors far exceeded our expectation. We could not be more pleased!
When we moved here, my husband was not in good health. After we moved into our cottage, he started lighting up because of the therapy, everyone being so friendly at lunch and visiting, so he talked more and I truly believe he would not have lived as long if we had not moved here. The surroundings are the best. The cottages are built so well and laid out exactly how we would do it, if we built them ourselves. The wide hallways were especially helpful when my husband came home from rehab in a wheelchair. When he was in the hospital, the staff came to visit and offered to help in any way possible. He just really wanted to get back to Sterling and that was his motivation in rehab. Now since his passing, everyone has been right here for me, helping me in every way which is so uplifting. I am very involved in exercise, line dancing, bocce ball and outings. Everyone is so outgoing and there is so much to do. There is no reason not to be bored. If they don’t have the exact activity you want, all you have to do is mention it and they will work hard to add it. Now that I am here without my husband, my kids feel good that I am not alone and well taken care of. If you want to be happy in life, you just need to move here!
Sterling Estates has been wonderful at taking care of our parents since they moved in in June.
