Cadia Healthcare in Millsboro Delaware is the absolute best place to be admitted either into long term care, or if the need arises for Dementia care and especially the short term Rehabilitation unit. I have found the nursing staff be quite excelled in their motivation and knowledge base. I have been to other facilities and there simply is no other substitute. Cadia Renaissance is the premier facility in lower Delaware for the types of care already mentioned. I personally know many local physicians who send their Patients to this facility because they trust this facility. You too, can trust the medical teams at Cadia Renaissance. The nurses and assistants are a strong combination together but they also have a strong management team to go to for everything for advanced education to direction on medical issues. The in house Provider far exceeds any expectation. You can trust this facility to help with any healthcare need. If you ever need help for yourself or a family member, look to Cadia Renaissance, they will get the job done.
Social Worker lied to us several times over the past week about ordering a wheelchair to be ordered for my 85 year old mother to come home with. Now down to her discharge day, still no wheelchair! Talked to the medical equipment company and fit three different stories, at 3:30 the equipment company just got the order! I also was given three different versions of the wheelchair delivery as well.Staff lying to to cover the fact that they dropped the ball on that, not to mention my Mom being left in the bathroom for well over an hour before they came to assist her.I would never send my loved one to this rehab ever again. The lying is unacceptable and the Social Worker needs to be dismissed.
I get a call that your discharging my mom earlier then planned. It is important my mom get the most time she can get being rehabbed for strength and endurance. This is the 2nd rehab in 2 months that’s discharging her early. She was back in the hospital a week later from 1st rehab. When we came to you I explained the families concerns and said we wanted her to get as much time as she can. She has medical coverage. We are telling you our concerns and you don’t seem to care. You will not convince us that having the 4 full weeks of PT in rehab doesn’t benefit her. My mom has dementia and can’t speak up for herself, we are her voice. We are trying to keep her living at home as long as we can and for you to just give up and kick her loose before the scheduled time is a let down. We need her as strong as she can be. Thanks for listening.
Do not let your family members go there. Most of the nurses could care less about how the patients are treated. People that are not allowed to leave the bed with out calling the nurse are ignored. Ring the bell once, nothing, twice, we’ll be right with you, third time, they come in all annoyed. They Waited to use the restroom for over an hour, and then was left in there for nearly as long. Will never allow another family member there again!
I was a resident at Cadia for almost 3 weeks. The nursing staff and the rehabilitation - physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy were excellent. The staff were very kind and had good attitudes that made me feel better. Rehab pushed me as hard as I could go, but not too hard. if I needed to go to a rehabilitation center again, I'd go back to Cadia.
