Employee Reviews for Atria Senior Living
2.96 out of 5 stars. Based on 1000 reviews
Overall, employees at Atria Senior Living have a generally positive experience. They appreciate the great team atmosphere, friendly people, and resources available to management. They also appreciate the flexibility and benefits, such as free meals, that come with the job. However, there are some issues with management turnover, lack of support from support staff, lack of appreciation for employees, and lack of work/life balance. Employees suggest that management should listen to their employees and take their suggestions into consideration, as well as provide better training and more appreciation for employees.Healthcare Nearby

My father was a resident in the memory care unit for 5 months during his stay our family experienced a caring and friendly atmosphere. They made us feel like family especially Dawn Anderson in Memory carea SPECIAL THANKS to her she is one of the main reasons for our pleasureable experience there. Also a special thanks to the nursing staff , Barbara receptionist & DR. Wilcox!!!
My mother-in-law has been at the Atria for two months now. We have been very happy and impressed with the caring employees and caring atmosphere that permeates this Atria. The facility, events and food are top notch. She is in the Memory Care Unit and the Life Guidance Director, Dawn s amazing. Her crew does a tremendous job under sometimes difficult circumstances. Laura in sales is very knowledgeable, professional and caring. She actually visited my mother-in-law during a recent hospital stay. This Atria is what all assisted living facilities should aspire to be like.
I've been a volunteer there for several years. The staff is friendly and competent and I have several favorites. The Engage life director, Jeanette, is passionate about providing stimulating activities and outings that contribute to a happy community and is a joy work with! The community is friendly and fun and I have several favorites among the residents also. I believe both of them are resident ambassadors that help new arrivals settle in.
Honestly, except for a few employees there: Barbara - Concierge, Dawn - Memory Care, Most of the Aides, Lucy - Marketing and few others, I wouldn't trust them to care for a dead dog! They allowed my Mom to get out the front door at 11:00 PM in a Blizzard and didn't find her for at least thirty minutes. The woman that does the accounting there couldn't understand that if you charge someone for an amount that should have been a credit, you then need to reverse it once and then issue the credit. The woman that they use very often as the Interim director, Noreen is rude and unprofessional. I know why the Brookdale is selling that location! There are other facilities where your loved ones will get better care.Good Luck Atria!
When I first inquired about this facility the sales rep. was all over me. Calling me and emailing me constantly. Then once I told her we were interested in a HUD unit as my mom's income was limited, she dropped me like a hot potato. Basically she said, "I'll remove you from the list, because it seems you have financial issues." - Then she hurried me off the phone making up an excuse that she had a crisis. Obviously, all she cared about was the sale. Would never recommend this place!!
