My Dad has been at Bradford Village for 10 years now. He’s been quite happy there and we’ve never had any problems or issues. The staff communicates well with me and I feel that they are taking good care of him. They are cheerful, happy and seem to enjoy their work. They have a nice back patio with a pretty view of a small park where young families and children play. It’s quite peaceful and relaxing to hang out there and visit. Dad likes Bingo night and visiting with new and old friends at the cafeteria. I believe the staff genuinely cares for their residents and are dedicated to making their remaining years as best as they can.
My folks have lived at Bradford Village for about 4 years now. They began living in an independent living duplex and about a year later they moved into assisted living. In assisted living, Dad needed extra attention first and the staff was was there and ready to assist. We are forever grateful for the assistance they provided. Dad graduated and now Mom needs extra assistance because of her forgetfulness. The staff is patient and loving towards her. We think Mom gets great care and Mom loves her “home”. Thanks Bradford Village!!
Our parents were/are residents of Bradford Village/ Villagio. We have been highly pleased with the care, the food, the staff and accommodations. They have made some wonderful friends during this time and when my mother passed away, their friends and staff were right there for our dad, with food, comfort, and prayers.I’m comparison to other retirement villages that other friends and family have experienced, we are thankful for Villagio of Bradford Village.
When my mom and dad began to think about moving into a retirement community a number of years ago, they had a difficult time finding a place that felt right for them. Having known a Bradford Village resident, I suggested mom and dad consider it. Upon their first visit, they immediately fell in love with the community, the other residents, and the staff. That was over ten years ago.Today, I continue to be grateful for the very genuine and compassionate care that each staff member has for my parents. Everyone - from the exceptional community director to the amazing dining room team - is top-notch. They truly care for each resident as if they were their own parents or grandparents. I feel so secure knowing that mom and dad are happy and well cared for. My dad recently said, "The only regret I have about moving to Bradford Village is that we didn't move here earlier than we did."Thank you, Bradford Village, for all that you do to make this a community of choice! You are the best!
If we were able to put 0 stars, we would do so. Our relative is suffering terribly in this place, having lost a great deal of weight and declining ever since he arrived. It seems more like a prison than a healthcare facility, with residents being unjustly treated in many ways. This place should be shut down. Some of the staff are downright cruel; both to the residents and family members as well. DO NOT send your family member to this facility! All they want is money.
My wife was admitted here on a Friday .They fed her when they wanted and then it was cold. This place is heartless Do not put your loved one in here .Listen to the other reviews along with mine.I finally got her out of this awful place .Never changed her bedside comode at night which was full of waste, food was cold when she finally was fed. They are HEARTLESS
Absolutely terrible treatment of patients. They should not be allowed to take care of plants, much less your elderly loved ones.My oxygen dependent grandmother was at Bradford to recover from a short stent in the hospital. Just before she was supposed to come home, a member of the staff helped my grandmother move around and removed her oxygen in the process. Then the staff member LEFT WITHOUT replacing the oxygen. It's unclear how long my grandmother was left without oxygen. By the time she was found, my grandmother had to be transported to the hospital. My grandmother went to Bradford to recover but is now doing worse than when she went in.
We looked at all continuing care facilities in the OKC Metro area. With Villagio of Bradford Village , we liked the people, Staff and the community being in Edmond. Everyone is friendly , watches over each other and always makes us feel welcome. Our Cottage was completely remodeled with our choices which really made us feel this is our home. We appreciate the staff for their care and concern for all residents. We are happy we came and know this was the right decision.
Bradford Village offers an affordable, friendly, laid-back approach to retirement living. That's not to imply that there are we are a sedentary bunch; on the contrary, there are on and off campus activities almost daily! We have a true sense of community with neighbors, and wonderfully accommodating staff that are part of that extended family. Being a continuum of care community, there is comfort in knowing that if and as your needs change, you can remain part of Bradford Village.
Had I left my mom there, they would have starved her to death. She lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks tho she was trying to eat. Nothing tasted good so she left the bulk of it on her tray. They should have noticed and taken steps to alleviate the problem somehow. We switched her to Epworth Villa but she was never able to gain back the ground she lost while at Bradford Village, this she didn’t continue losing weight. She was quite slim when she entered Bradford but wasn’t losing weight prior to entry.
Majority of the good reviews was before new management. Rehab for skilled nursing pt's is awful. She has actually regressed, Food is awful. Occupational therapy is good, and speech therapy good. The majority of the staff are OK Took almost a week to get a proper wheel chair, we actually had to go find one that wasn't missing parts and had tape on the arm. Putting 3x pads on here when she a small. Found out that it was bought by Grace Living Center from a nurse, couldn't locate that on the website. (might be there now), would have never taken my loved one there. Some of her rehab exercises she was getting done and Enjoyed, in Springfield before we moved her back to Oklahoma to be near family. , is not getting done because they don't feel comfortable continuing them.
My parents had a lovely cottage at Bradford and were attended to very well by the staff there. After our fathers passing our mom moved to the assisted living area and her care and attention never wavered. In these horrible times they have gone above and beyond to make sure their residents are kept busy with various activities to try and ease the isolation we all feel due to COVID. It gives us all such peace to hear her say on our daily phone calls “Don’t worry about me, I am well taken care of here.” If you are considering a move for your loved ones I would ask that you give Villagio of Bradford Village a visit. I know you’ll be glad you did. Janie Womble
My mother-in-law lived 18 years in Villagio of Bradford, in both independent and assisted living. The staff has always provided superior services and excellent care to residents and their families. The facilities are well maintained, food is very good and staff is very responsive and attentive to residents. We cannot adequately express our deep appreciation for how well and safely our family member was cared for since covid, all due to the preparation and execution of safety protocols put in place by Lydia, Health and wellness Director, and the executive staff. Our family highly recommends Villagio of Bradford Village. (This review does not include the nursing home which is not owned or operated by Villagio.)
I started out at Bradford Village as a Caregiver in the Independent/Assisted Living Community. I absolutely loved working with the residents there! The staff truly care about the residents and their welfare is the #1 priority at Bradford! The Dining, Domestic Services and Maintenance Personnel do an excellent job also!! I would not hesitate to place a loved one there. Nyla Warner

When it came time for me to downsize six months ago, I chose a cottage in Independent Living at Villagio of Bradford Village. I consider it one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The sense of community is strong here, even during COVID times. I have met other residents at the exercise classes, meals when we can go to the dining room, walking my dog, and my dog has even made friends at the dog park here. When the ice storm damaged so many of our beautiful trees, the landscape crews were on the scene the next morning beginning the cleanup. The maintenance team is knowledgeable and willing to help solve any problems with the cottage. The kitchen staff is efficient and friendly and the cook welcomes any suggestions for a favorite food or recipe. Management has been very focused on helping us all stay safe and well during the COVID crisis. It’s a great place to live and there’s no other retirement community like it.
I would absolutely reccoment Villagio of Bradford Village to anyone looking to retire in a loving and caring community that will be there through every step of the way. The staff goes above and beyond every single day to show them they care. They are like family to me! Thank you BV for being so amazing!
Friendly, accommodating staff. Good variety of activities both on and off campus. A true sense of community. Ability to provide multiple levels of care: Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled / Long Term Care. Pet friendly with an on-campus pet park! Independent Living residents have their own homes/yards giving a sense of independence while part of a tight-knit community.
