    Our Brandon Wilde is made up of over 400 residents and 200 staff members. Residents have come from all over the world to be a part of this active retirement community in Evans, GA. Brandon Wilde offers the privacy and beauty of an 73-acre wooded campus minutes away from all the conveniences of Augusta, Atlanta and Charlotte.

    Started by a small group at Augusta’s University Hospital, the Augusta Resource Center on Aging, Inc. (dba Brandon Wilde) opened in October 1990. The name Brandon Wilde was chosen to honor the first lasting pioneer settlement in Columbia County, known as Brandon, and Augusta poet and statesman Richard Henry Wilde.

    The original project included 155 apartments, 18 cottages for independent living, as well as personal care apartments and skilled nursing suites. Expansions over the years have included The Village (Club House and 46 cottages), The Preserve (10 cottages), Windsor House (memory care) and a 20,000-square-foot Wellness Center.
