Assisted Living and Memory Care Services
We do not have a waiting list for a large studio, however, there is a waiting list for a 1br in our Assisted Living community. Memory care services are structured a bit differently to cater to specific needs.
Healthcare and Staff
Our healthcare team includes nurses covering the floor, with our management team comprising 3 nurses, including myself as the Executive Director and our Director of Nursing. A physician visits on Mondays, and we have a wound care team and a podiatrist who visits every 3 months. Our staff includes CMS’s, CAN’s, and MATs. We offer physical, speech, and occupational therapy five days a week through a contracted service, billed via Medicare. Additionally, our chef provides exceptional meals that contribute to the overall well-being of our residents.
Safety Measures
For safety, our building is secured with codes for entry and exit, a front desk check-in, and additional security measures for our Memory Care unit. We assist residents with acclimation to our community, including mealtime and activity reminders and guided tours.
Dining Experience
Our dining service is restaurant-style, where residents are served their meals and drinks by our staff. An à la carte menu is also available for those who prefer an alternative to the day's set meal.
Communication and Feedback
Residents can voice complaints to the nursing staff or the management team. We maintain an open-door policy for residents and their families to ask questions or communicate directly with staff. Nursing updates and assessments are mailed to families, and we also send mail-outs for events and post information within our community.
Respite Care and Amenities
We offer respite care with a 2-week minimum, subject to availability. Please note that rooms are not furnished. Our community is pet-friendly, and residents may request vaccinations, which our nurses can administer.
Aging in Place
Teal Creek is an aging-in-place community, utilizing hospice services as needed. We strive to provide a comprehensive and caring environment for all stages of later life.
