Overview of Staff and Training

We employ Licensed Nurses, Medication Techs and Caregivers who receive on-site training, complete annual skills classes, and monthly ongoing training.

Safety and Well-being Measures

We have individual service plans for each resident. The level of safety measures can range from every 2-hour checks to 1:1 private caregivers, dependent on their overall health and well-being.

Resources for Transitioning Residents

We are in the process of developing a group of residents that will be our ambassadors for our new residents. Currently, when a new resident arrives, they are greeted by the team of directors. They meet our care team when we provide them their pendant and check their vitals. We take them to their room and our welcomed with a basket of goodies. Depending on the resident, we will take them to their first meal in the dining room and introduce them to a few of the residents we think they will click with. Their personal care service plans begin immediately on arrival.

Transportation Services

Yes, we have a free valet service for the residents.

Dining Experience

The resident orders from a daily menu in the dining room. For lunch and dinner, there are also a soup of the day, salad bar, 3 choice main course including a vegetarian & dessert. The dining room is open from 7am to 7pm. We offer an all day dining menu if they arrive in-between meals.

Addressing Resident Complaints

They can speak with the Director of Nurses or go directly to the Administrator, a grievance form will be completed, the issue investigated and a manager will meet with the resident to explain the resolution.

Communication with Families

Families are always encouraged to call the Wellness Office for updates. Any emergency situations, new medications, changes in condition or other health related situations will be communicated by the Wellness Office to the family.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Yes, we do offer respite stays, usually for a period of 2 weeks.

Pet-Friendly Community

We do allow cats and small dogs; however, the resident must be able to care for the animal, take it outside and clean up after the animal. We do not provide care for pets. There is a fee upon move in. The animal has to be under 25 pounds.

Currently, I have available apartments in Independent & Assisted Living. I have a waitlist for Memory Care.

Vaccinations

Yes, we have annual flu vaccine clinics in the facility, and we offer COVID vaccines as they become available.

Aging in Place

For the most part, yes. If they decline to a point where they need a higher level of care [hoyer lift for transfers, bedridden, disruptive psychological issues…] we will work with families to find appropriate placement. We do provide Hospice Care here in our facility.

• Weekly housekeeping with towel & linen service.
• Transportation ranging from Kona International Airport (KOA) to Captain Cook.
• 3 meals curated by our Executive Chef Kai.
• Program offerings such as activities every day, weekly outings, and large community events.
