My wife was referred to this facility from the hospital to recover from a knee replacement. Right off the bat, on a Saturday, the nurse in charge told me that she would be have to be isolated for 14 days, even though we have been vaccinated for covid. I informed her that the person in charge had given me permission to be with her and we had our cards of vaccination. I showed her and she looked and threw them down and said we will have to see about that. She may be professional but she is a letter of the law person who can not bend or decide what to do in any situation. Some of the people there do not know how to use basic equipment and are very rude and have no compassion or caring for the people they are assisting to regain their health. They even threatened us with the insurance not paying if we were to leave. After we got a few things straightened out she has made much progress, with a hiccup here and there. At midnight tonight she called in tears because an aid came in and messed with the heater/ac and did not put the ice machine on her leg properly and it pumped the water out into the bed. I have had to instruct every aid on how to use this machine. I would recommend that if you are faced with putting a loved one in this facility to run like hell and find another place.

My sister has been imprisoned over a week in their facility against her wishes. It took my threatening to send Pocatello PD to investigate kidnapping charges in order to get their attention. I got the Director of nursing on Facebook with my sister. The director lied to me in front of my sister stating she wishes to be in their facility. I directed the question to my sister. Do you want to stay there? She loudly replied NO, I want to go home. I have been fighting with these people for a week.  Unable to get caretakers in place on a Saturday night I was forced to reluctantly allow them to keep her in their prison until Monday. With tears in her eyes my sister conceded do the same. I have several people in place willing to break her out with the help of Pocatello PD if need be on Monday morning. I am 2000 miles away otherwise I would do it myself.

I have yet to have a good encounter with any of the staff at this facility. Everyone seems to incredibly demanding, rude, and impatient. The facility is kept very clean and well maintained, however, and patients seem to really enjoy the environment.

From my past interactions with residents from this facility i strongly encourage people to take their loved ones else where due to the fact that the employees do not take care of the residents like they are supposed to. if i could give this place 0 stars i would. i am very glad i did not take my grandmother here.

When I first started working here, it was great. The atmosphere seemed friendly. There really are some great staff at Quinn. But after a while, I noticed a trend. CNAs are overworked, as well as nurses, and it leads to a lot of call outs. The lead CNAs never jump in when they are short staffed, and with covid measures, the aid on the isolation hall has to gown up every time they enter a room, sometimes being 17 residents on that hallway. Sometimes they only staff 2 CNAs for the full building, and have been prepared to only have one CNA work the entire building before. Certain nurses who do work never jump in and try to help answer call lights which is a part of their credentials. It just became too much and I felt unsafe there. I felt bad for the residents who had to wait for sometimes up to an hour to have their call light answered because there is just not enough people to help. They need to figure out their staffing situation.

My father in law stayed at Quinn. He was unable to walk do to being bed ridden for more then 7 months. It was a struggle for him to be there at first, but with the help with the staff he was able to be motivated. The staff was very patient, kinda, and confident in his ability recover. He received physical therapy and occupational therapy. They were able to help him walk and get his strength back. He left Quinn with new motivation to be able to live life again. I am very grateful for all the staff at Quinn Meadows who helped him through his recovery. I know he can be stubborn, so thank you all for your amazing help.

I am very disappointed that my husband could not come to your facility after having a stroke. The person who answered the phone said twice that they did not take his insurance. (Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal Employee Program ) When in fact, I found out later that Quinn Meadows is an in network facility but they just didn’t want to mess with the additional paper work.I had to take my husband to Boise to a skilled nursing facility. I wish Quinn Meadows would’ve just told me the truth.

Very disappointing experience. Had complications after knee replacement surgery. Medications caused a blockage then rupture. My pain level was 10++ continually. Had abdominal surgery to repair and an ileostomy bag was added. Staff wouldn't answer my call. The ileostomy bag leaked several times. Several times I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk to get much needed help.Do not take your loved one there.I moved to Gateway and they are taking good care of me.

I am currently a resident at Quinn Meadows. I debated whether to go home from the hospital or enter into a rehab facility to get a little stronger. If I hadn’t made the decision to go to a Quinn I would have died. I live a lone and I would have not noticed the drastic change due to a UTI and blood clots in my lungs. Kelsie the therapist saved my life. She was noticing that I was different than normal and raised the red flag to others. I am so glad that they listened to her and got me immediately back to the hospital. I couldn’t be more grateful/thankful for the staff. Every single employee has been so kind to me. Marcus the PT has been so encouraging and has pushed me to get stronger and get past my fears. The staff members both therapy and nursing are incredible. If I would have gone anywhere else I might not be alive. I will be eternally grateful for the care and kindness that I’ve been shown here.

I wanted to provide an accurate review of this building as a current resident for the past month.Upon my arrival and once I was settled in my place of residence, there were various assessments and a care plan was created just for me and my needs. In a few days a family member of my choice and I were invited to a baseline care plan meeting which would discuss in detail my diagnosis and medical needs. The head of each department spoke to us addressing how their staff would focus on the goals we wanted to achieve, how the interventions and staff would work with me and a goal date set to reassess my achievements or needs that still need to be addressed. I was encouraged to be an active voice in my care plan and had the choice to accept or deny the medical treatment devised on my behalf. We were asked if we had any questions or suggestions at the end of the meeting. It’s all about resident. Upon arrival I was received with kindness, cheerfulness and the staff was glad to help me get settled in my room. The staff are supportive and willing to work with me to gain momentum in achieving my independence and the strength and courage to succeed in overcoming and managing my daily challenges. The staff has seen me at my worst, can joke with me, know how I like things done including my preferences with dressing, showering, and toileting. They know my moods and can sense when I’m feeling blue and offer compassion, understanding and encouragement. The CNA’s also know when I’m not my usual self and brings it to the attention of the nurse who will assess me and if needed consult with the doctor then submit a doctor’s order. Through proper communications between myself, the CNA’s, nurses, therapists and doctor these steps can bring into action a quick response to specific needs that if not addressed could escalate into a major issue. The staff are knowledgeable, skilled and hard working individuals who work together as a team to accommodate, meet and/or exceed the goals in my care plan.Residents have the choice to eat in their rooms or in the dining area. They are escorted to and from the dining room which is well lite and open, socializing is encouraged but optional. Each day tomorrow’s menu is given to each resident who then have the opportunity to choose the main entree or customize choosing from the add on list or choose a completely different entree in the alternative list. The food is well seasoned, should one be on a low sodium diet the food can hold its own and still favorable. The portions are generous and entrees are well balanced, should you wish for seconds all you have to do is ask. in between meals twice a day and upon request.Activities are planned a month in advance, calendars are made up and distributed to each resident so they are aware of activities planned for each day of the month. The Activity Assistant will go to each resident’s room to invite them to the upcoming activity and will escort them to the activity room. Some of the planned activities are news every morning, exercise, games such as trivia, wild bingo, players card club, arts and crafts, musical groups, movies and ice cream social. The Activity Assistant is kind hearted, like to joke with the residents putting them at ease and encourages them to socialize. She is very patient especially when explaining a new game. She has to explain it over and over until everyone understands the game and then someone will ask a question about something she just explained, she will smile and explain it all over again. My room at Quinn is very inviting and has a warm atmosphere . The room is a single bed room with my own restroom that is wheelchair assessable a well as the sink and shower. It has a homey atmosphere not personalized touch. The grounds around the facility are professionally landscaped and well taken care

I had a dear loved one in this facility during a hard time. The staff was extremely attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were taken care of. Several of my loved ones have been in various different facilities in the area and around Idaho this is by far the most professional and caring. To make it even better, it feels like a nice, comfortable home feel. Not a cold and sterile hospital room.

I have been associated with members of the staff at Quinn Meadows for the past 10+ years and have consistently been impressed with what they provide for the clients who choose to stay there. They are adept in their respective fields and make concerted efforts to help facilitate the overall healing of each resident. They truly care about each person! I’m familiar with other skilled nursing facilities in Pocatello, and have had some friends and family stay in those other places as well as some at Quinn Meadows and I would have to say that Quinn Meadows is the best, hands down.

My Father Glen Horsch was placed at Quinn Meadows in May of 2018. My mother Joyce and myself, Watched the staff careful to make sure only the best of care was giving to dad. The staff was always kind and willing to appease our every request. They went out of there way daily to make sure he was mentally and physically stimulated. The staff put up a cover over the patio so dad could have shade so he could be outside. They had a nice picnic for the 4 th of July in which Phil cooked a outstanding barbecue for staff patients and family. Phil was very kind and helpful getting dad to doctor appointments and even to dad grandson football game. Like I said they went above and beyond for us during his stay.
