My 94 year old Mom has been living here for a few years. In the last year she has had jewelry stolen, money stolen, Kleenex stolen, Tide pods stolen, and goodies sent in by family stolen. We had placed a nanny cam and it was stolen. The thefts have all been reported to the police (money and jewelry) and the Director of the place does nothing. This has all happened during lock down so it can only be the attendants working there.
Mira Loma took care of both of my grandparents over a combined period of nearly 20 years. I have never seen people care so much for their clients. Every nurse was attentive, every front desk person either knew my name or knew who I was there to see, and every sales/finance person worked with my father from a cost standpoint as the need for their care increased. I recently spoke to Cendrene (Sales Staff) about helping a close friend of ours through the process of attending an assisted living facility, and she remembered my grandmother who peacefully passed away there nearly a decade ago. She recalled conversations with her and knew every bit of her personality. That is the type of place this is, and I would recommend them to anyone.
I will never be able to thank the Prestige at Mira Loma staff enough for their kindness, attentiveness and compassion. They saw to every detail to make sure my mother was comfortable and cared for. They went above and beyond in every way and I will be forever grateful to them. Additionally, the facility itself was very comfortable and clean. The other residents were happy, social and obviously content. I can't say enough good things about this place.
BEWARE!!!!! HORRIFYING- DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!!!!!!!! THEY WILL KILL THEM!!!!!!My grandmother was neglected, had a giant bed sore on her tailbone, had feces all over the floor in her room, INCHES of dust on everything. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF was so doped up on 14 different norcos, she was comatose and could no longer move or talk!!!!! She left there in far worse condition then she went in. This place is the most expensive death trap EVER. You think for the amount of money you are paying they will be taken care of, but NO. They will charge you $3400 a month for a studio, plus $75 for "utilities" and raise the rent every year. We were in too much shock to take pictures of the condition my grandma was in at the end of her time there, but we all saw everything and got her out of there to a much better place. A place where they actually care about their people and don't let them live in squalor, overmedicated and abused. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT TAKING YOUR MONEY.
This place is a total scam. I looked into many places for my mom and while this place appeared to be a good fit, it turned out that the sales woman told me what I wanted to hear, the nurse that evaluated my mom at a specific level ended up charging me an additional fee for a higher level without even notifying me, and the executive director misled me on the services my mom would need. I will say that for the short time my mom was there, the CNA's were caring and loving, but the upper level management forced us to find an alternative place for my mom. After only 6 weeks of being there, they are refusing to give my mom back her move in fee. I have tried calling Katie (corporate office) many times, but she is not returning my calls. My mom is on a fixed income and the $1,500 move in fee needed to now be paid at another location. I was planning on having my mom at Prestige for many years, but after they forced her out after only 6 weeks and then refusing to give her the move in fee back...I found it necessary to post this to alert future move ins to the unethical practices happening at Prestige. (Bait and Switch)
If I could give this place Zero stars I would. They hire personnel with NO health care experience to run the Expressions (Memory Care) Unit. My mother was a resident there (she had Alzheimers/dementia) until she passed away. I didn't write a review prior as I feared that the care she received would be even worse. Imagine visiting your Mother and finding her with food/dirt caked on her hands so thick that you had to scrub her hands before you could hold her hand to help her stand up. Or how about taking her to get her hair done and her scalp had the worse case of "cradle cap" that the stylist had ever seen. Her dr even advised the personnel at Prestige that they needed to do a better job washing her hair, use special shampoo and watch her while showering to make sure she washed the shampoo out if her hair. The worst experience was when my mother fell and they sent her in an ambulance to the hospital with no paperwork or personnel fromPrestige with her. She didn't even know who she was at this point!!! By the time I got to the hospital the people there are trying to ask her questions and don't know why she can't answer them. To cap off this awful experience when my mother's death was imminent I sent an email with explicit instructions as to what they were to do when she passed. I was assured "your directives will be followed". Needless to say THEY WERE NOT!!!!!!! I called to check on my mother at 8:30 in the morning to see how she was doing that day and was told what they did for her the night prior. When I questioned them again I was told "Oh she died at 3:00 this morning didn't anyone call you?" When I got ahold of the facility director all I got from her was"I guess we messed up." Real compassion there. Maybe they spend all there time making the place look nice and playing games but they sure missed the boat when it came to taking care of my mother. If you are going to have to put a loved one here you might want to think again. For $4,500 per month you think you would be able to get better care. If we could have taken care of my mother in our own home I would have. If we had unlimited resources I would have moved her to another place.
I am a physical therapist and prior to my current position, I used to work in home health. During my stint with home health, I had many patients at this facility. The facility is very clean and beautifully decorated with lots of open space. They have an extensive activity program and have nice exercise and game rooms. Even with all of this, the th that I was most impressed with was the care and professionalism of the staff. The staff here was truly caring and attentive. As a health care professional, I notice many things on facilities like this that others might miss, and I must say that Prestige is a fantastic place if you are considering assisted living for yourself or a family member.
My mother stayed with Prestige for about 30 days before losing her battle with cancer. We were limited in options as she was too young for most places in Henderson. It's hard when you're 60 years old to lose so much independence but I really couldn't have asked for more than Prestige provided. It was such a difficult time for the family, having the ability to know she had meals prepared and someone also a quick call away lifted a huge burden and let us have more quality time with her instead of arguing about silly things or worrying about laundry, etc. The people that work here truly care, you can't fake that. One of the hardest decisions I've had to make is moving my mom to assisted living and if you're going through it - feel free to message me. I've been everywhere. Good luck.
This place started out great but after 8 months of my father living here things began to change. There was a noticeable decrease in staff as a lot of them began to complain and quit as they felt they were not treated well.New people arrived and with the change my father was no longer being looked after properly. At times he was not taken down for meals. He was no longer being bathed properly or routinely and he, and his room, began to smell. I was constantly having to complain until the day I finally moved him out. There are some fantastic staff members there that deserve recognition like Jennifer, Joel and Cecilia.I truly hope the Prestige goes back to how it was over a year ago but until then I cannot reccomend it.One last thing to add. For the price Prestige charges, the food should be more nutritious. Powered mash potatoes and frozen meals feels below standard.
I am so very grateful for the staff at Mira Loma. My mother had to be placed in an assisted living facility due to having a stroke and her living alone. I had done some research and toured other places before picking this establishment. We decided on this facility because the staff was warm and welcoming and all of the residents seemed happy and engaged during our visit. (Keep in mind, we had to pick a place during Covid, Mira Loma actually cared about keeping the family and resident in contact, many other places did not allow visitation from the family forcing isolation, secondly, my kids were allowed to visit, many places did not allow children) The initial employee that I worked with was Al, he was exceptional in reassuring me that my mother was being left in good care. He answers all calls and texts very promptly and that was soothing during a time period of high stress. The facility is very clean and there are a lot of activities for the residents to participate in. The staff really encourages the residents to participate; this was great for us because at first my mom was shy due to the fact that she has limited speech because of the stroke. The staff really went out of their way to make her feel at home and included. Everyone knows her name and daily routine. This place makes you feel like your loved one is the only one they are taking care of. My mother absolutely loves all of the staff! From the girls that help her out daily with her room needs to the medication staff that help her after hours. Joel, Mercy and Janie were a joy to deal with. I would recommend this facility to anyone who was looking for a place to care for their loved one. Mira Loma is top notch and I will forever be grateful for the care they have given to my mother.
Really lovely community. I have toured a LOT of buildings, and this one has heart! The team there is warm and genuine, and the residents seemed very active. Appreciated that they took time getting to know what is important to my parents, and went the extra mile to demonstrate that during their tour. Also appreciated the COVID precautions they are taking.
Can't say enough good about the administrators and staff at Mira Loma. They are very caring and go out of their way to be helpful. With covid-19 making everyone's life difficult, they do their best to accommodate both residents and their families. They get our highest recommendation.

I stayed at Mira Loma for over two weeks for a respite stay between rehab and home. The staff were outstanding and all were team members. They really care for the residents and go out of their way to help each resident. They treat everyone with respect. They have a supervisor of house keeping who is excellent. Cecelia at the front desk is so helpful. Francis who drives the residents to doctor's appointments and on outings is outstanding and should be made employee of the month at sometime. All the administration are great. All of their team members are outstanding.
It is never an easy decision to place a loved one in a facility. When the need arose for my father-in-law, Joe, to live with caregivers, we offered our home to him. He refused as he said he didn’t want to be a burden and wanted to live with others more like him. After looking at several facilities, we chose Prestige and are so glad we made that choice.Joe moved in the spring of 2017. He has been well cared for by each and every professional there. There are so many activities available daily that are diverse and fun. We tease that it is like a cruise ship with all that is going on each day. We wish Joe would participate in more activities but they respect his wishes to just hang out in his apartment to watch a football game or Nascar. As Joe’s needs have increased, the staff has been wonderful in providing him with the additional care he needs. It feels like we are a team that together are working to provide the very best for him. Joe loves all of the staff and they treat him like he’s family. They laugh and kid with him which makes him feel special.I am always amazed when I come by how many of the staff remember who I am as well. This place has truly been a blessing and we will be forever grateful for all that they have done and continue to do for Joe.
Our mother has been a resident of Prestige Senior Living at Mora Loma for three years, most of the time in the Expressions. We have visited her daily during that time and on all occassions, she was well cared for by the staff. All our questions and concerns were more than adequately were answered and dealth with by the caring staff at PSL Mira Loma.To those individuals that cared for her, we are truly grateful to each of you.
Had my father in law here for a respite weekend and everything was wonderful. Had a medical problem with his dialysis and they arranged for transport to minor surgery. Very attentive. Great activities. Can’t wait to use them again and I’m sure it won’t be too long before we are full time. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
I am a clinical instructor and practice at Mira Loma. The facility is so clean and the staff are exceptional to me and my students. The staff at Mira Loma are excellent and proficient when there care for any of residents.I will always recommend Mira Loma to any one seeking a facility for their loved ones.
