Employee Reviews for Five Star Senior Living in Coral Springs, Florida
2.5 out of 5 stars. Based on 4 reviews
Overall, employees working for Five Star Senior Living in the Coral Springs, FL area generally have a positive experience. They appreciate the opportunity to work with seniors and earn a decent wage as a line cook. The health insurance is decent and the hours are guaranteed. However, when the kitchen is under-staffed, employees have to work twice as hard. Additionally, the pay is not great and they don't always receive the benefits they were promised. Management is generally cool, but they can be unpredictable and play favorites. The culture is diverse and the vibe is chill. This is a good job for high schoolers, but it's not worth it for college students. Employees recommend finding better work if you have experience.By clicking "Get Exact Costs", you consent to being contacted either by My Caring Plan or our third-party partners at the phone number and contact information provided, including through the use of an automated dialer system. My grand father lived at Park Summit for 3 and a half years. The care and attention to detail that was given to him as he aged was like they were his family. My grandfather enjoyed the food, activities, open visiting hours for all of the family to visit as often as we wished. He lived in the assisted living and then the healthcare wing. I would like to thank each and everyone for everything they did for my grand father. Jenn
My grandmother lives at Park Summit Assisted Living. She relocated into the assisted living from her independent living apartment where she has lived for 10 years now. Her health was going down hill and she was in/out of the hospital. Since her move into the Assisted Living, Grandma has not gone to the hospital for over one year. Her health is stable, she is well taken care of and her needs are met. She is approached by a very caring staff many times a day who strive to meet her, often strange demands. While grandma may not always believe moving was a good decisiion, she knows she is being taken care of with a clear visioin of her abilities and by a extreemly caring staff. I can not think of a better place that grandma should/could be and I highly recommend anyone of you needing independant or assisted living, go look at Park Summit. It simply is the best that Broward can offer. In addition, their health care center is top notch and has mostly private rooms available for any patient needing rehabalitative care.
My parents have been living in Park Summit for about three years. They are well cared for and the management and the office works closely with the families. My parents love their social life until COVID-19 which affected everyone. They are looking forward to the days when they can see their friends again. Park Summit was very responsible and taking care of all residents and following all guidelines. I am very pleased with the care they are given. They are also very pleased.6/11/21. Another ReviewI’m sure you hear a lot of complaints about the dining room especially since there aren’t enough servers to properly take care of the clientele.I’m taking this opportunity to tell you about two outstanding service people that you have employed. They will do whatever they can to satisfy their customers and they have a lot of patience. They’re also competent. My husband and I were both former school principals and we recognize talent when we see it. Please give our commendation to: Keyona and Izaiah. Also please commend the gentleman that supervises the dining room. I think his name is Rodney. He does an excellent job with not enough help. We observed him encouraging the waiters and always pitching in to make sure the guests are satisfied.Park Summit is very fortunate to have these 3 individuals.
Hello-- The Park Summit was a place we passed WHILE DRIVING on Royal Palm Blvd in Coral Sps..long before retirement-In reflecting our thoughts[ WE EXPECTED IT TO BE STATELY AND STAID- As we neared retirement we contacted Mrs.Linda Gilgrist for a luncheon tour she showed us the property in a orderly and FRIENDLY manner.......As OLD School as we thought it was by looking at the ammenitiesonce again proving "YOU CAN'T JUDGE A BOOK " BY ITS COVER"More than the pleasantries of relaxed desisn it delivers relaxed living ..We have been here 6 years now(movedi here in fall2014) it has been a plieasure ,all the way and as our planned last home on this earth, its comforts are peaceful, and activities profuse,if you care to partake...."
Can I honestly tell you about a staff member, Jillian Lamphere in sales is one of the best customer service representatives I've ever came into contact with. She is super caring, supportive, and knowledgable about the property and more importantly the needs of the residents. She goes above and beyond for my comfort and health needs, I cannot tell you enough great things. Thank you so very much Jillian for your help and kindness. - Karl and Family
Park Summit staff is caring, and dedicated to making everyone feel safe and cared for in this difficult time. They consider each person's needs and endeavor to make sure these needs are met. With all the restrictions required during the coronavirus -- they manage to run the daily living conditions as smoothly as possible.
The staff at Park Summit has been amazing and one of the amazing things is how they treat all their residents and visitors. Words to describe Steve Rule and the staff include respect, friendliness, courteous, professionalism and caring. The property is well-maintained and provides a social and welcoming atmosphere making it a place where residents feel part of a caring community. The well-trained qualified staff provides the highest level of care ensuring each resident receives the services they need. During the pandemic the policies and procedures were well communicated and thorough with the emphasis on safety and well-being for all residents and staff. Furthermore, whenever possible Park Summit is accommodating to special requests and making residents and family feel that they are at home.
Our mother has lived at this facility for many years. I cannot begin to describe the sense of relief we have knowing the care and love she receives from the staff there. Executive Director Steven Rule is an amazing, caring, and compassionate person, who makes all the residents feel like family. We are beyond grateful!
FIVE STAR FACILITY!!!! but NOT in the rehabilitation area.My Mom a hip replacement patient with some degree of dementia, was left alone at the edgeOf a regular Chair, by herself, unattended. One day the Administrator of the place,Debbie,Came up to me to " let me know" that they didn't have personalized care for patients, just because I had to call nurse Rose 3 times for her to sent and aid to change my Mom's soiled diaper, and 30 mins. later somebody with a very rude attitude came and got me outOf the room, while she was changing her.Besides that, the Administrator make a comment in my face about my appearance( too skinny) that I thought was very rude, unprofessional and totally out of place!!In another instance, on Sunday, my Mom's husbandWaited 1 and a half hours for somebody to again, change a soiled diaper.Negligent medical care!!!!One positive thing: Thank you to nurses:Chantel, Lucy, Stephanie, Maggie, for listenand do your job in a very professional way.Aid Jackie, always smiling and with GREATattitude.
There is a receptionist (Dorrett) that works at the front desk , she is a disrespectful & terrible representation for this company . She claims to be the manager when I asked to speak with one . She has poor customer service skills & a nasty attitude , in no way should she be representing or put in a position to represent this place .
My wife and I lived at Park Summit and we absolutely loved it. This community is far and away the best run and maintained in Broward County. If you are looking for 1st class at a reasonable price, this is the place. And the food...so well prepared you will be amazed. I could go on and on, so check it out yourselves. You'll be glad you did.
My parents have lived at Park Summit for over 7 years. Anyone that knows me, knows I am very protective of my parents’ well-being and safety. Steve Rule, Park Summit’s director, has truly put my mind at ease. I am so happy I chose Park Summit for my parents. It is safe, clean and has the best entertainment!! The dining room is great and even the food is delicious. Please everyone reading this, if you care about your parents....Park Summit is the place they need to be.
Park Summit has amazing staff members that treat all their residents and visitors with the utmost respect and friendliness. The courteous professionalism and caring staff is just one aspect that sets Park Summit apart from other facilities. The building is well-maintained and provides a social and welcoming atmosphere making it a place where residents feel like part of a caring community. The well-trained qualified staff provides the highest level of care ensuring each resident receives the services they need.
I personally stand behind the Executive Director at Park Summit, Mr. Steven Rule, who is fiercely dedicated to our wonderful aging community and his position as an Executive Director. He is genuinely concerned about the well-being of all residents in his care and has a contagious positive attitude in all his endeavors.
