Nestled in the foothills of the city's west side, our new community is conveniently located at the intersection of St. Francis and St. Michael - offering stunning mountain vistas! As we enter our senior years, the only thing that may change is needing to accept assistance occasionally - a small price for the wisdom and experience gained over time. Through the utmost candor and transparency, we dive into a genuine human journey in which love is both given and received. A heartwarming exchange of blessings is shared between us.Memory Care
We often laugh off our occasional memory lapses as "senior moments" jokingly. Nevertheless, a harsh truth is that brain illness can cause memory decline and other intellectual abilities to gradually deteriorate. It beckons seniors and their families onto a winding, meandering journey of mystery. MorningStar is humbled to provide supported living for those with memory impairment, accompanying them on this unforeseen voyage.Dining
At MorningStar, we believe that nourishing the body with a wholesome diet is paramount to achieving optimal wellness - and our senior living dining experience reflects this core belief. Nourishing ourselves with wholesome food is like a natural elixir, providing our bodies the sustenance it needs to heal and thrive. One of life's greatest pleasures is to be shared and savored with others - a wonderful way to bring joy into our lives. Breaking bread together is more than a meal; it's an act of love that strengthens the ties between us as family and friends.Price Comparison

This past spring, my elderly mom lost her ability to live alone as she has seen a decline in her health. My siblings toured several assisted living facilities in Santa Fe, after which Mom settled on MorningStar. We have not regretted that decision once.Since moving in, Mom has had several health problems that are to be expected after living 93 years. The staff here is caring, compassionate and proactive. They are also experienced and know what they are doing and why. When her services need to be adjusted because of illness, they have been prompt and extremely flexible. The food in the dining room (and on the patio for barbecues) is excellent. The rooms are like small apartments, and have good light.Mom has always hated the idea of being in a "home." But, even in her declining health, she has fallen in love with the staff here, as have all of her kids. They have been supportive and understanding of us, as well as of Mom. This place gets five stars with no hesitation.
Santa Fe Morningstar staff is always willing to lend a helping hand. The staff at the front desk greet you with a smile. The Reflections Neighborhood is great and the staff take excellent care of my dad. I have no worries about my dad's care. I appreciate all that you do for my dad and highly recommend your Assisted Living facility to all.
The entire staff at Morning Star are very caring and sincere in their duties and work. Very clean facility. All residents seem to feel welcome and comfortable and get the feel of home away from home. Would definitely recommend to anyone who’s loved ones are at that stage in life. You won’t have to worry about mistreatment or cruelty and you will feel that they will be in good hands!
Let me start off by saying that finding the right Memory Care for my dad has been a huge challenge. Within a year, he has been in and out of five different facilities and each one was worse than the last! And so, I can easily say I feel truly blessed to have found Morning Star. I feel my dad can live a life of quality here. Care is reflected in everything and everyone you see. The staff is professional, caring and attentive. They are dedicated to their residents and they listen and respond to feedback. A variety of activities are provided daily. The facility is clean, bright, beautifully furnished and elegant. They have an attractive outdoor patio area. We have eaten there, and not only does the food “look” good, it tastes good. Thank you, Morning Star, for taking such good care of dad. Sincerely, Mia Valencia (Carlos’s daughter:)
Leslie Castaneda, Executive Director, and her staff have rapidly developed a wonderful program supporting many local charities in Santa Fe in the past year. They have created an absolutely gorgeous brand new property. Their Community Giving program includes more than 15 local charities. They are amazing community parties. Check them out for your friends & relatives who are senior citizens that need this kind of care.
My 93-year-old mom spent the last few months of her life in this assisted living setting. The staff, from top to bottom, was so loving and conscientious from the time my mom arrived through the time of her passing. Nice, smart, responsible, compassionate people. Our family sincerely thanks MorningStar staff and administration for everything.
