If your parents are old and they are here get them out before it's to late. I had to call 911 to get my out and transfer to the hospital. This place thinks they can do what a hospital can do. They should have transfer her to the hospital right away. But they didn't . Any nursing home should know that they are not a hospital
My husband was discharged to this facility and became more ill. Staff would bring him food and then not care if he even tried to eat it. I explained to them that he would drink ensure if nothing else. They would at least open it for him, but then walk away and let him spill it all over himself. And then leave him sitting in a puddle for hours until I came in and had to actually request that someone come in and clean him.
My husband is currently staying at Welbrook and I can honestly tell you he has been in and out of several skilled nursing/rehab facilities and this one is far and above all of them. They are caring, compassionate and mindful of the health conditions of their patients. If he shows signs of any medical issue it is immediately addressed. He is an amputee and had the toes removed from his remaining foot and they give him rehab daily to assist in getting him on his feet again. I can not say enough positive about this center. The nursing staff are excellent. The 5 stars are nice but they go over an above in their care and deserve a 10. Tom is picky about his food but raves about the food he receives there. If you need any rehab or skilled nursing this facility is the best by far. I highly recommend Welbrook. On the other hand stay away from Genesis in Silver City. I don't know how they are getting away with it but they treat their patients likecattle. Tom stayed there once and it was the million dollar experience he wouldn't give 10 cents to relive. If you want great care for yourself or a loved one pick Welbrook, they are the best.
I was admitted here after having surgery on my right ankle. At first it was difficult because of coved 19 restrictions. Then I was moved to the other side where I could get out of my room and use the equipment in the gym. Both physical and occupational therapist were very good and helpful in many ways. The things that really bothered me was how frustrating it was for the staff because of lack of communication and the restocking of supplies. How can you do a good job when you have to get family to bring in necessary items that are needed for a patients safety and comfort? Having been in the medical field for years I know how frustrating it can be when necessary aren’t there. I do commend the staff for their ability to get things done in a mostly positive manner.
My In Grandmother in Law message to your company!Wellbrook Rehab Center in Las Cruces, NM, reneged on its promise to replace my dentures thrown away by staff while I was a patient during quarantines. Representatives claim no record of me as a patient even tho I was there from 3-13-2- thru 4-23-20. Shameful treatment.
I usually give credit where it is due, even more so than they deserve however I'm so disappointed in this place, the people who work here, the admissions process and discharge. The nurses and most everybody. I mean you would think I would have a positive thing to say but no I don't. Please find another place for your loved ones to go. The insurance company will be hearing about every detail of my mother's aission to discharge.
The staff has been so friendly and full of smiles! My friend had rehab there after a major scare with appendicitis and came back home wanting to continue to work out with new exercises she knew would help her continue to get stronger. Your team definitely inspired her to keep working on maintaining that progress! Thank you!
My husband is a patient at this facility. I would not recommend it. The first few days were fine. He received a bath at the scheduled times. This past week has been a mess. He received a bath on Monday. He didn't get another until Friday when I intervened and insisted. His bath time kept switching on the schedule so he was never on the schedule. He is also on oxygen 24/7 at 4 liters. Two separate times I found him sitting in his room on a portable oxygen tank which was turned OFF. Then, one morning at breakfast, he mentioned to a passing nurse that he was short of breath. She looked at the tank. It was empty. She literally ran, pushing his wheelchair, to the refilling station and refilled the tank. There are other incidents. This is in the span of 12 days. Don't go here unless you can be there with your loved one several hours a day.
