We moved our 91 year old mother into one of the memory units eight months ago. The level of care and professionalism is extraordinary. The caregivers are marvelous in their day-to-day dealing with memory issues while maintaining respect for the individual resident. The nursing and administrative staff handle EVERYTHING for the resident and their family with efficient professionalism and a positive "can do " attitude. The decor and design of the 12 resident hacienda has a intimate home-like feel with small gathering areas as well as an open floor plan for freedom of movement for the residents. Did I mention the delicious food?Because the Haciendas at Grace Village is such a caring complete care facility and has relieved me of a lot of my responsibilities and worries, I can now truly have a better and more loving relationship with my mother.

We are abundantly grateful for the care my Mom receives at Haciendas at Grace Village. She has been there about 1 1/2 years and it has made a wonderful improvement in her quality of life and comfort in her final years. The caring, thoughtful, knowledgeable, compassionate staff is such an improvement over other facilities she was in before coming to Haciendas.Haciendas staff has shown genuine care for my Mom all day, every day. At her previous facility, she was mostly left in bed alone and didnt get social interaction or enrichment, which exacerbated her dementia and incontinence. At Haciendas, she has done the arts and craft, music, tai chi (for the first time in her life) and making friends as we had hoped. Her life is so much richer.The haciendas are lodge-like, more like a home than an institution. After moving in, Mom said she was in "Buckingham Palace". :-) That's such a gift ... having your Mom or other loved one feel like they are in a special place instead of a warehouse for the elderly. The different Haciendas allow memory care and different levels of assisted living needs to be grouped together.Haciendas at Grace Village have kitchens in each hacienda. Some cooking is done in each building; which adds to the homey-ness. Even if a particular meal is cooked next door, the staff in each hacienda serve meals tailored to each resident, on a table that is set for each meal. We have been impressed to witness each resident's meal or beverage be tailored to their personal preference. Meals are planned for good nutrition and augmented with some snacks, if desired.Timely, accurate medications are another huge advantage of having my Mom at Haciendas at Grace Village. We have only been confident in the chain of custody and delivery of her medications since she has been there. In other facilities, we thought irregular med administration and lack of cost concern were part of the poor treatment or institutionalizing.Related, the nurse and case management have only been outstanding. Instead of having non-productive and expensive doctor's appointments because an elderly person with dementia is sent to the doctor with a uninformed babysitter of a caretaker, Haciendas goes above and beyond to make sure current medical information is hand-carried to scheduled appointments. They regularly communicate with Mom's M.D./doctor's office and avoid her making unnecessary and uncomfortable travel.Overall, my Mom is receiving the best care that could be available at Haciendas at Grace Village. We highly recommend Haciendas at Grace Village for all assisted living and memory care needs.

I am very satisfied with the care my husband receives at Haciendas at Grace Village. He has been a resident in the memory care unit for over a year now. The staff is wonderful, from the office personnel to the caregivers and other support staff. Each resident has his/her own room and private bath, which is preferred for those with memory issues. Each of the four buildings houses 10 residents, so that they receive personalized care. The food is nutritious, well-balanced and tasty. I do not worry about my husband. He is getting better care than I could provide him in our home. I don't know what I would do without Haciendas at Grace Village.

On Sept 1, 2013 I moved by 83 yr old aunt into the Haciendas at Grace Village. She has thrived from day one. The complaints she had about previous assisted living arrangements were mainly two: poor food and a general lack of sincerity about her condition. Those two concerns were quickly dashed. She gained 27% of her body weight back in the first six months at being at Grace Village. My Aunt rants and raves about how good the food is and how thoughtfully it is prepared and served. The individual kitchens in each hacienda feel like home. The dining tables set again feel like you are sitting down to each a meal with your family at home. Mission one (quality food) ACCOMPLISHED!My aunt has told me over and over again that she feels like the staff really do care about and for her. Mobility and severe breathing problems are never a challenge to the care givers. They patiently cater to my Aunts needs and never seen irritated or agitated to deal with the challenges. Truly my experience has been that each and every one of the care giving staff genuinely care about my Aunt.The nursing staff have been very open in their communication and management of my Aunts case. They call me when they need to and they always answer my calls checking on the status of my Aunt's well being. Every time I have taken my Aunt in for doctor's appointments, the nursing staff have had paperwork ready to go. I just hand a folder over to the doctor and he has what he needs...that is a wonderful service. The nursing staff seek out ways to maintain quality of life for my aunt by asking me questions about how we might adjust to maintain her good attitude. The nursing staff are knowledgeable and communicate effectively with other medical professionals involved in my Aunt's care. Recently I have had to bring in the help of Hospice care. Again the nursing staff are there ready to utilize the services to improve and maintain the quality of my Aunt's life. Mission two (caring attitude) ACCOMPLISHED!The administrative staff at Grace Village are pleasant, professional, and totally understanding of the stresses that go along with care of loves ones. In my particular case the staff have been willing to listen to me when I need a word of encouragement as the sole family member involved in my Aunt's daily, weekly, and monthly care. That respectful compassion has been welcomed from day one and I appreciate it very much. Dealing with long term insurance, medical insurance, telephone and cable tv providers, etc has been made very easy by this compassionate and competent administrative staff.I highly recommend Haciendas at Grace Village. I have dealt with three other assisted living facilities in the area and I can honestly say Haciendas at Grace Village is the best by far.
