We have RNs, CNAs, social workers, PT, OT, ST, and physician oversight. Staff use an online portal to complete modules – both clinical and non-clinical.

As a CCRC, the lifestyle of the community drives the well-being of residents along with knowing the people within a community and what their needs are, allows the team to assess and suggest services.
Resources for Transitioning into the Community
We have relationships with downsizers, movers, and work with various contractors to update units to the specifications of residents.
Resident Complaints and Issues
Residents may choose to address the concern with a specific area, with the Executive Director, or call our 800# to the compliance office. We conduct a root cause analysis of the concern. On the independent living side, Life Enrichment may address the issue, or a resident can bring up at the monthly Village Association meeting.

We are HIPAA compliant and follow the wishes of the resident as to updates. The company regularly sends email communication to responsible parties on various things.

Continuum of Care and Staffing Requirements
We offer the complete continuum of care including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, Home Care, Hospice and Lake Prince Woods at Home for PT in the home. All staff have monthly training.

We have a resident association and advisory council. Resident Association meetings are held monthly in a group setting as well in each level.
Cost Details
For example, a one-bedroom apartment residency fee will have an average cost of $112,500- $162,000. The monthly fee is also based on the size of the apartment and can range of $2,775 - $2,641 for a single occupant.
Family Communication
For IL we have an email blast list for the families to receive immediate communications. In Assisted Living and Memory Care resident families receive our monthly newsletter and in Skilled Nursing we have care plans.
Respite Stay Costs
In Assisted Living our studio apartment is $187 per day and Memory is $258 per day. The Skilled Nursing rate is $283 per day.

We would love for you to explore retirement living at Lake Prince Woods. We are a vibrant pet friendly retirement community with 172 tranquil wooded acres. Our residents choose a lifestyle selecting from spacious single-story homes with no step entry and airy floor plans.
Beautiful Living Spaces
Our apartments are also available and are beautifully remodeled before you move in. We remodel our residents’ new homes, and you have the opportunity to select flooring, paint, countertops and much more if you choose. Or we can make those selections for you. You also have the opportunity to make upgrades to the home allowing you to add a personal touch. This allows you to create the custom retirement home you have been dreaming of.
Our Community
We have beauty, serenity, and small-town charm in the heart of Suffolk. Currently, we are expanding with the construction of new cottage homes. There is only one new home available so there has never been a more exciting time to join the Lake Prince Woods family. Our master plan will also add an approximate 17,000 square foot Wellness Center to our community. The Wellness Center will expand upon our current services, and construction has begun. The expansion also includes a new bar, billiards room and pub area for social hours and events.
Financial Information
Lake Prince Woods has a residency fee that is paid when you join our community, and we offer a Veteran discount at closing if you served in our military. There is also a monthly fee as well that includes maintenance, meals, activities and much more. We are also a continuing care community and our other services offered are Home Care, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Short term Rehab, Hospice and Skilled Nursing. We have also launched Lake Prince at Home. This will provide Home Care after short term rehab stays or after Hospital discharges. There is also a rehab gym for outpatient physical therapy opened to all residents. Lake Prince Woods is truly a forever home offering the complete continuum of care.
Lifestyle and Amenities
Our residents enjoy maintenance free living with multiple daily life enrichment opportunities. We have a very busy activity calendar that includes excursions to the symphony, theater, musicals and much more. We offer free transportation twice a week within a ten-mile radius of Lake Prince Woods. Our stops include the banks, doctor appointments, pharmacy, and grocery stores to name a few. There are also two dining options our main dining room and our Bistro for casual meals. We offer a gym and numerous exercise classes to include Tai Chi, Yoga, Zumba, Stretch & Tone, Balance, Line Dancing, and Chair Exercises. It’s definitely the cruise ship lifestyle without the ocean.
Safety and Health
The lifestyle includes tax deductions for Independent Living as well as all levels of care. Nursing is always on call for our resident’s day or night. We also have pull cords in the bathrooms and pendants that may be worn. All are linked with our emergency call system. There are also motion detectors in the home that scan for movement during the morning hours. If the resident does not walk by the sensor, we will first call to make sure the resident is ok. If there is no answer the team will go into the home to ensure everything is ok. We are within one mile of emergency services, and within three miles of Sentara Obici Hospital.
Available Homes and Apartments
We currently have the one new construction home available with a double car garage, sunroom, and open floor plan for entertaining. Also available are one- and two-bedroom apartments conveniently located in the main building steps away from the Wellness Center and Dining. The Residency Fees due vary based on the size of the home.
