Community Insights
This detailed information was obtained directly from the Community Relations Director at Inspiritás of Pensacola via email on April 3, 2024.
Orientation and Training
Our staff, including CNA's, LPN, RN, Med tech, administration staff, housekeeping, maintenance, and dietary department, undergo a comprehensive orientation day. This includes education on our company's practices, expectations, rules, and regulations. Prior to placement in a community, all staff must complete CEU training courses to handle various situations effectively. Additionally, we require a class on Alzheimer's and dementia, hosted by the Department of Elder Affairs.
Safety and Well-being
Our primary job is to provide care in a safe environment and protect the well-being of our residents, their families, and our staff. We have signature programs, like our Ambassador program, designed to ensure smooth transitions and maintain a safe, caring environment.
Transportation and Dining
We offer transportation within a 10-mile radius, with exceptions made on a case-by-case basis for extenuating circumstances. Our dining experience is restaurant-style, with fresh meals prepared in each community's kitchen. Menus are set, but alternatives and snacks are always available.
Grievance Program
Our grievance program allows anyone to bring up concerns, which are addressed and resolved promptly. We encourage communication and feedback to continuously improve our services and address any issues that may arise.
Family Involvement and Support
Families are encouraged to stay involved, and we strive to keep them updated on their loved ones' care. We offer support groups and educational events for families and friends to help them stay informed and connected.
Respite Stays and Pet Policy
We offer respite stays of 30, 60, 90 days. Although we are pet-friendly for visits, we do not currently allow pets permanent residency. Visitors must provide a copy of the pet's vaccination records.
Admissions and Care
There is no waitlist for admission. We can provide necessary vaccinations and support aging in place with our extended congregate care license, which allows us to offer the same care as a skilled nursing home. Residents may also utilize home health and hospice services.
Extended Congregate Care Licensure (ECC)
We have Extended Congregate Care licensure (or ECC for short). This level of licensure is the highest given by the state and allows our residents to age in place as their care needs begin to rise. Our staff receive specialized training to be able to provide increased levels of care throughout the journey of your loved one.
Specialized in Memory Care
We are a stand-alone memory care. Alzheimer’s and Dementia care is what we specialize in each and every day. Our community is comprised of 3 “neighborhoods”, each secured for added safety of your loved one.
24/7 Licensed Practical Nurse(s)
We have Licensed Practical Nurse(s) on site 24/7.
Engagement and Programming
Engagement is a HUGE portion of our programming here. Our goal is to stimulate all 5 senses every day and ensure your loved one has a great day, every day.
Signature Programs
We have 13 signature programs in total to meet any need our residents have. Inspiritas is all about helping your loved one maintain activity and independence for as long as possible.
