Diane, Thomas and Hillary and Joe I want you to know that I consider you the most wonderful and special people I have ever met. I think you are the finest human beings there can be. You helped me more than words can say. You are so very important to me. You treated me with such kindness when I needed it most. From the bottom of my heart I want to express my appreciation and gratitude for all you for me. Thank you, M. HughesMy great grandmother really appreciates the staff here, as you can see from the letter above.
Food is stingy an unevenly seasoned.Complaints are met with excuses.Help is considerate but with bad attitudes.Therapy is withheld after you reach a certain point. No activities for an active person not in a wheelchair.outside walks and checking out for a day are not allowed without either dr appro al or being accompanied by a therapist.Do not!!! send your loved ones to this hellish place unless you actually hate them.
I have been here a week. Once I get discharged I’ll never 👎 return. They don’t do own cooking. I haven’t started my PT yet. I hope it better then everything else here. Try getting a pill that I take everyday..Ask for some meds that not on your list. I have requested a visit from there Doctor for 3 days. Still haven’t been able to see the Doctor. The nurse is afraid to call the Doctor. I think you get the idea.
My mother has been a resident at the Groton Regency Center for almost 3 years. From day one in the admissions process, to the transition from assisted living to long term care, her every need has been met. The staff is exceptional. Todd Parent, Unit Manager, Jenn, Charge Nurse, Paula Smith, recreation Director, Lynn Marino, Social Services and Amber Gaffney, have all kept me informed of her medical updates and personal needs. They have shown great compassion when it has been most needed in these challenging times of COVID restrictions. My family is so grateful for the care she receives. Thank you all for the great work you do.
The Groton Regency is a skilled nursing facility that took my mom after a long hospital stay and needed more urgent daily care. We couldn't be happier with the care she received from Amber the social worker, Jenn her daily "personal" Nurse and her aids that attended to her needs. Of course, all facilities have had to deal with Covid restrictions and not allowing family members in to visit and oversee what is happening, so you have to trust what the professionals are saying. We were able to visit from the window outside and see that she was happy with her care. We expressed our concerns from the beginning and then the attention to detail was taken from there. If you think your family members needs are not being met, then just reach out to them with a personal conversation and they will attend to whatever it is needed. They honestly want to do the best job possible and not disappoint the family members. All the staff was friendly each time we called from the front desk gentleman, the gals answering the switchboard to the nursing and CNA staff. Can't say enough good things about them. Thank you to the Genesis health team for a job well done!
I live in the Retirement section @ the Groton Regency. I needed some short term rehab due to being sick and in the hospital . My stay was wonderful and all the employees are very nice and helpful. The Rehab team went above and beyond to get me back on my feet. I would recommend the Groton Regency for short term rehab.BG
Myself and other American Legion Auxiliary members attended our District 5 meeting at your facility. Our meeting rooms were pleasant and clean, and I think the residents enjoyed seeing us, as much as we did them.I was amazed at the size and spaciousness of the building,, and pleased to see a hint of Valentine's Day decorations throughout.Upon arriving for the meeting, myself and another member, parked in the far left parking lot. We headed for the closest entry doors and were suurprised when an alarm went off, and everyone in the hall was looking at us. It seems that entrance was not to be used, but the small door sign didn't catch our attention while hurrying to get in. To save other guests in the future from making the same mistake, perhaps a large sign on both doors stating 'DO NO ENTER - ALARM WILL SOUND' would be helpful.Once again, it was a pleasure and you should be proud of your facility!Judy Lehosky, President Auxiliary Unit 4, Norwich
I'd like to thank the management and staff of the Groton Regency for allowing The American Legion 5th District New London County to conduct our monthly meeting there, which was hosted by American Legion Post 114 Groton. Being my first time visitor, I found the Staff very friendly, the facilities very clean and well kept. Thank you! Paul
The GRC recently provided a meeting room for our American Legion Connecticut District 5 meeting. This is a top-notch facility. All of the staff was helpful, pleasant, and seemed to have a personal interest in the success of our meeting. The banquet room provided was large enough for 50+ people, well lit, super clean, and attractive. There was plenty of parking for our 6 p.m. meeting and it is right off of Route 1 in Groton. I look forward to working with these folks again.
Must say my fiance had to stay thier for awhile not impressed.tha aides never came to his room at night.a night nurse gave him wrong medication.he happened to notice and she said oh im sorry it was the gentlemans across the hall.had to keep buzzing the nurses to come to his room to change his IV bag.very poor staff.the food was absolutly horrible.would not recommend this place to anyone
I have had family and friends rehab here and they are treated with dignity and respect. Nursing staff is attentive and caring. The Social Workers are very helpful, the recreation department offers a variety of good programs and the Rehab Dept is the best!! Everything is very clean and the people in the kitchen make some great soups. I would definitely recommend this Nursing home.
This place sucks and the food is garbage though most of the cna are very nice and helpful. Same goes for the nurses. That being said this place likes to bs you and give ppl the run around just so that you can stay longer and they keep charging your insurance. The primary care doctor named richard sucks also. He acts like your time doesnt matter plus you hardly even see him once a week if you are lucky. As for the food being bad with what looks like thrown together meals i even got dirty utensils. Plus the place isnt up to par clean wise in my book there are spiders in the corners of certain areas. I wouldnt recomend this place to anyone.
