My mom was in here for rehab and wasted 9 months of her life. The physical therapy was a joke. They gave up on her when the insurance ran out and did nothing for her. They said she “plateaued” and wouldn’t help her any more. The place was dirty, tiny crowded rooms, bugs crawling on the floor in her room, food was horrible and they kept changing the kitchen staff. There were some great nurses and CNAs in there but the facility was not someplace that I could stand to see my mom in. We finally moved her to SouthPoint and they had her on her feet in 2 weeks. Four months later she is back home. Do not put your loved ones in this place.

I would never take my mom there ever again. The very first day i had to complain on her care. Some of the aides and nurses had poor attitudes. They didnt give my mom one of her very important meds for 16 days. The only reason we found out is they allowed her to fall out of her wheelchair with a huge goose egg on her head. Allowed her sugar to go over 400. The food came cold and looked and tasted terrible. Didnt get her up to use restroom. Just let her lay in bed. Didnt change her adequately which resulted in uti. She needed assistance with feeding which they didnt do. Bloodwork came back showing malnourished. Pulled her out early, but not sure she will ever bounce back from this horrible experience.

All the employees at greenwood health and living get along very well and help each other out to provide the best Care possible for the residents. There is good employee retention via meals provided and gifts given to the employees to show appreciation for all that they do. The atmosphere at the building is very friendly and drama free which is always the best atmosphere to work in. Most everybody works together very well to take Care of the residents and to get through the day to day struggles that may arise. The residents are very sweet, loving and great. Most of the residents are very appreciative of the Care they are given, the cleanliness of their rooms and the food that they are provided. The building is very family like, everyone gets along very well. Everyone know each other and is there to help whenever they can. The employees do an amazing job during state survey and maintain a 5 star rating with the state. There is always an opportunity in this company to further your education or move to a higher position.

I have worked in LTC/Acute rehab setting for 10 years and this has been, BY FAR, my favorite building. It is a small family like environment. My favorite part of working at this building is the teamwork. All the staff including the management team are willing to jump in and help when needed, all the way up to the Administrator. They are always having staff appreciation events like weekly lunches, monthly chair massages, cookouts, and fun games. Staff longevity is exceptional in this building as well, with the average term of employment for nursing staff, being 7 years. There are nurses that have been with Greenwood Health and Living for 27+ years, and CNA’s that have been there for 30+ years. That is unheard of in LTC. Both unit managers have been in their roles for 15+ years and are always willing to jump in and help. The staff care about the residents and work hard everyday to ensure the best possible care is maintained. The 2021 annual survey for this building was deficiency free, NO TAGS! If you are looking for a career in nursing and chances to continue education, work together as a team, and elevate your career, Greenwood Health and Living is the place to work!

Except for one thing I would given this place 5 stars. The food. I have been in the food business for over 40 years, and I can tell that this place spends pennies on the dollar for mediocre food. Then they dole it out like it's gold. Not the place to be if your precious one likes good food in their twilight days.

My grandma got sent to this place for rehab and I called to check on her to make sure that she was doing ok and I was told that I could not speak with her unless I was on a list. I didn’t want to know any personal information from the staff. I wanted to speak with her. My grandma has been in and out of the hospital since last November and she was very anxious about going to a facility. All I wanted to do was comfort her and I was told that I would need to call back in the morning and speak with the social worker, when infact I had left a message for the social worker even before grandma got there yesterday and she never called me back. I was furious that they would not even allow me to talk to her. I can’t sleep tonight because I’m so worried about her, and I know she is scared in a strange place. I will be calling the director at first light to find out why family members are not allowed to speak to their loved ones. They would not even ask my grandma if she wanted to speak with me. I’m so angry that a facility that has all over their website how much they love and care for their people would not allow my grandma to speak to her Family member , her family being supportive is a big part of recovery!!! I worked in facilities before , I was a CNA and I have never told a family member that they can’t talk to their loved one!!!
