This place is horrible! I have never had to deal with such horrendous people. Every-time I have a concern they just transfer and transfer me to different people. My loved one is not getting the care he deserves. Every week they have a covid outbreak! They let people in and out of that building, no precaution measures are being taken. If you want your loved one to die faster, this is the place to take them! I have the administrators personal number and even then she doesn’t answer or return my calls! This place is pathetic. We need the state to close this place!
Absolutely horrible, do not send your loved one here unless they can fend for themselves! They claim to be skilled nursing, FAR FROM IT! My grandma didn't receive her meds properly, was severely dehydrated and left with a bed sore!! Not to mention completely delusional----I believe she was given something by the nurse there that she was not prescribed. This is a money hungry corporation, they don't care about the clients, they care about money. They sure looked short staffed to me, you shouldn't accept more patients if you cannot provide the quality care you claim!!!!
My Mother was placed here for 3 year's. Oh!sure the place clean back 2000, I didn't place her there but I landed up doing it all by myself. She had some good day 's & alot of bad one's. If I could write a book on this place you'd be surprised of the many disappointement's. My Mother was a strong lady & she was able to report what & when she was treated good & was treated very badly. After a severe fall & many stitches on her eye injury I reported alot to Adult Protection. Finally moved her to Rio Rancho Sabana Grande was somewhat better. It was a rough 7 years of going and & forth. And now I ha e to place my Son in the hands of a Nursing Facility how scary to think of doing this . I believe all Nursing facility all have issues & we have to be there daily or hire private care taker. God bless all who must entire any Nursing facility 🙏
I spent twelve days at Casa Real in December 2020 to rehab from a full hip replacement. The unit I was in was safely isolated from the remainder of the complex and Covid precautions were followed faithfully by staff. I had three (thankfully) negative Covid tests during my stay. Daily and overnight care was excellent with the CNAs checking on me and responding quickly, professionally, politely and attentively whenever I called on them. Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy was excellent, especially considering the restrictions placed on them by Covid protocols – working hard to get me back into my home environment as quickly as possible. I would particularly mention the RNs (whose names I have forgotten), daytime CNAs Jasmine, Jennifer & Jose, and all the overnight CNAs – J.R., Destiny and others whose names I have forgotten, and PT Nicole & Chris and OT Jennie. They all were professional, prompt, polite, friendly – and showed that they were aware of my particular situation and provided appropriate care. Food unfortunately was not so good but they did allow deliveries from my wife.
My mother has been at Casa Real for almost a year. The kindness extended to my family and me began with us walking through the door. Considering this environment and type of care is not at all easy and terrifying. From the moment we walked in, we were immediately calmed by Ashley and Mary who explained how this facility operated. After making our choice, mom and our family has experienced nothing but kindness and understanding for our situation and they have provided the utmost care. The nursing staff is gentle and has mom's safety and wellness always in mind. I can't say enough how much we appreciate Casa Real (Genesis) at this most stressful time in our lives.
My late husband was a resident here and I believed he was in good hands until I noticed the hipocracy. The nurses treat the residents poorly I even saw one of them spin around one resident on the chair nearly throwing him off. I was also harassed by the front desk lady and the social worker Ashley they both treated me poorly when I brought this to their attention. Ashley kicked me out of the facility and didn’t let me back in until my husband took a downfall; my son would go and visit my husband and he said Ashley said “ A few hundred might keep him sane for a few more weeks” it is a shame that up to this day nothing is being done for the poor residents in this facility. Please any other families that went through similar circumstances don’t keep quiet we have to put a end to all of this negligence
I am a relative of a resident who is no longer there. I have seen so many injustices most the nurses injure the residents rather than help them I have multiple times seen the harassment and when you report it they just say we will talk to them about it but nothing is ever done and not to mention there is so much favoritism even the social worker Ashley Martínez who is supposed to be caring for the best interest of the residents is getting paid off by families to side with themThink twice before putting your loved ones in this horrible place
I'm surprised to see some of these reviews, however, I believe Casa Rael now has new management. My mother was treated here early 2019 and they did a fabulous job of taking care of her every need. Very patient and competent staff, clean facility, good food and a lot of activities to choose from. The Director met us in the hallway and made herself available any time my mother needed her. She even tried to help us find a temporary foster home for my mom's dog while she was in the nursing home.
Horrible place to work and to be a patient, there's a reason this company is bankrupt and having to liquidate all their properties, sad they were so focused on the all mighty dollar and not the patients, especially the ones who suffered and died as a result of the companies negligence and failure to provide adequate staff to take care of the residents
Run away! This is not a health care facility. Do the research. My husband was a patient for rehab after surgery. I was shocked at the "care". Don't make our mistake. I would choose another facility or home care before ever leaving someone I loved in this dark and dreary place. Understaffed and underfunded. They are worried about profits not people. I never saw fresh fruit or fresh food of any kind. It's a nightmare. Just don't put your loved one through it.
