3.06 out of 5 stars. Based on 1000 reviews
Employees of Brookdale Senior Living generally have positive things to say about the company. They appreciate the free parking, paid orientation and training hours, and nice residents. However, they have noted that the health insurance is expensive and the deductibles are high. Additionally, CNA's PTO for the first year is nearly nonexistent and the pay deposit system is unusual. There is also a lack of work-life balance, as employees are often called in on days off due to staff shortages. Employees have also reported that management does not advocate for them and that communication is not always good. They have also noted that the pay rate is low and that the facility is often understaffed. Employees have also reported that the security system is an issue and that the training is too automated. Advice to management includes improving communication, fostering staff development, enhancing benefits, and stopping taking credit for work that the front-line workers conduct.Healthcare Nearby

It’s obvious that workers are underpaid and unappreciated. I wouldn’t advise anyone to work here. They are extremely unprofessional. Who schedules an interview with a potential employee and makes them wait over an hour? Wouldn’t you reschedule when you have the availability? And to offer a lower paying position after offering a higher paid one is preposterous. This place will waste your time.
This place was an terrible work environment and some many ILLEGAL THINGS TOOK PLACE INSIDE OF THIS FACILITY! Workers were underpaid and overworked.. I came in one night for my shift and there was literally only ONE caregiver and a med tech which is illegal because there are so many residents that two people could not care for them ALL. That place is sickening due to lack of cleaning because they can never had housekeeping during my time working there.. they can never keep and ED (Executive Director) because how awful that place is but higher up makes all the big money drying out families and residents money so they don’t care about the things going on they will turn a blind eye to keep as many residents in their so they can make all the money. HONESTLY I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO PUT YOUR LOVED ONES IN IF YOU CARE FOR THEM FIND SOMETHING ELSE!
Alisha Perry was a God send for my sister. She is the Clairebridge Programs Coordinator and spent so much time getting to know my sister while she was a resident there. Alisha sent fun pictures of my sister because unfortunately Alzheimer's is an ugly disease at times and I am thankful to have seen the good times through those photos. Thank you to Alisha for following her heart's calling and making a difference in the lives of both patients and families. Tori Behrendt-Darling is an excellent Executive Director as well and was always there when problems arose.
