3.06 out of 5 stars. Based on 1000 reviews
Employees of Brookdale Senior Living generally have positive things to say about the company. They appreciate the free parking, paid orientation and training hours, and nice residents. However, they have noted that the health insurance is expensive and the deductibles are high. Additionally, CNA's PTO for the first year is nearly nonexistent and the pay deposit system is unusual. There is also a lack of work-life balance, as employees are often called in on days off due to staff shortages. Employees have also reported that management does not advocate for them and that communication is not always good. They have also noted that the pay rate is low and that the facility is often understaffed. Employees have also reported that the security system is an issue and that the training is too automated. Advice to management includes improving communication, fostering staff development, enhancing benefits, and stopping taking credit for work that the front-line workers conduct.By clicking "Get Exact Costs", you agree to our Partner's Terms of Use. My grandmother is there. I've visited a few times but I am in another state. It isn't as good as her last senior living home. This is my opinion on my interaction. The staff isn't as attentive or into what they do as I have seen at her last place. Her room isn't kept as clean and she has to constantly ask for things to be done that are paid for.
This place is pretty depressing. Very little for the residents to do. Mostly sitting around all day watching tv. The staff is ok but not very interested in talking to the residents. If you can afford it I'd find some place that shows more care and effort. I've had three meals there with my dad. Everyone at the table complained about the food. It really is awful. Soy meat products, lots of white carbs.
