ATRIA Darien is an assisted living facility with approx 80 Apartments all with full kitchen or Kitchenette. Most of the seniors here are in their 80s and need some special assistance . The Dining Room Food and Activities provide good structure . The 5th star is held back because it is very expensive .. but Atria is a very nice facility that takes care of their Senior Guests .
As move managers, we have the opportunity to work in many different communities. The Atria Darien is one of the senior communities in which we truly LOVE to work. Meticulously clean and beautifully appointed, this is an exceptional residence for seniors. EVERY member of the Atria Darien team, from housekeeping to maintenance to their seasoned sales team of Kate Bacon and Susan Pica to Executive Director, Becky Gallucci care and treat every Atria Darien resident like family. Thank you Atria Darien for helping to make today’s move seamless and perfect. With gratitude , Deborah Weinberger and Michelle Dittelman , Senior Relocation Partners
I recently moved to Atria Darien and could not be happier. From the moment I came for my first tour, I knew I wanted to live here. The management team made my move and transition here so easy - I could not believe how smoothly it all went. The entire staff at Atria Darien has been so warm and they genuinely care. I feel right at home and the residents have all been welcoming. The food is wonderful and I enjoy the variety of programming provided. I highly recommend this community!
My mother has been at Atria for over two years so I have been there many, many times and have always had a good experience. The physical plant is meticulously maintained and the staff are thoughtful, caring people who are always ready with a friendly greeting. I have been to many other facilities in the area, both as a visitor to other relatives as well as when we were looking to find a place for my mom, and I can say with confidence this is the best I've seen overall. You would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't at least schedule a visit to check it out.
With much help from the always upbeat Atria-Darien staff, we moved my 89-year-old mother from her home in Massachusetts to Atria-Darien on very short notice right before Thanksgiving 2020. Even through the difficult Covid constraints her room was quickly outfitted, caregivers were brought in, medical and pharmacy contacts were initiated, and the transition was seamless. We, my mother especially, are pleased and grateful.
As our mother became more elderly, it was a difficult decision to ask her to move from the independent senior community she had been in to an assisted living situation closer to us, but the incredible management and staff at Atria Darien made helpful suggestions every step of the way. They understood all of our concerns and really treated our mom as an individual...not just another resident. Now that she is there we can't imagine her being anywhere else. She is well looked after--feels much healthier and safer for her than when she was on her own-- and it is an enjoyable upbeat place for all of us to visit and spend time with her. Thank you Atria Darien for maintaining such a high level of excellence while fostering a supportive, kind spirit of "home."
My son made the wisest decision of his life by dropping me off at Atria Darien. It’s a nice place to live and everybody is amazing. The food is very tasty and very ample, their intent to please is of the utmost excellence and the location is nice. I love everything about Atria Darien.
It has been a privilege and an honor to have recently joined the team at Atria Darien as their Resident Relations Director. I could not have asked for a warmer welcome from the staff and residents alike. The building is beautiful and impeccably cared for. The attention to detail - whether it is housekeeping, dining, the cuisine - is a cut above the rest. Not all assisted living/independent livings communities are equal and Atria Darien sets the bar very high. It's easy for me to rave about a community that I've seen on a first hand basis deliver the type of experience to their residents that many others are unable to achieve. I am fortunate to work with a team of professionals who are willing to work arduously behind the scenes to make it all happen and look easy in the process. I would encourage anyone who is even thinking about the possibility of transitioning to an assisted living /independent living community to give us a call and schedule a tour.
Atria Darien is a "best in class" senior living community in Fairfield county. Resident and employee satisfaction is consistently over 90%. Atria Darien has been serving seniors for more than 20 years, providing quality care to our residnets in a vibrant and engaging environment. I am proud to be part of the Atria Darien team and look forward to serving residents and familes for many years to come.
The residents and staff at Atria Darien are my extended family and the community is my second home. As Executive Director it is an honor and a pleasure to support, engage, care for and have fun with our residents each and every day. I lead my long tenured team to consistently provide an uplifting, personalized, superior experience to both our residents and family members. It is a true delight to come to work - or should I say...to my "second home" and second family! I invite you to stop by for a visit. We look forward to meeting you!
Donna in the dining room is just wonderful. She always has a smile and always goes the extra mile. My mom unfortunately has to eat in her room and send her aid to get her food. Even her aid raves about Donna. Nothing is ever a problem. She is really there for the residents and does not consider a special request an imposition. She makes Atria what it should be.
Would love to pick one person that has helped my dad throughout his stay....IMPOSSIBLE! there is not a day that goes by that someone doesn't go out of their way to make him feel at home, safe and loved. The dining staff is so patient with his "late" breakfast hours and special cream of wheat, alway serving with a smile...Chris in nursing has truly become a friend to him and takes such a personal approach when helping him, Housekeeping is always there and smiling ready to tackle his "home" with consideration and care. Becky, a true blessing, always makes sure he is happy and always goes out of her way to help him with special projects he has...doing everything from personal typing to simply listening to his ideas...Amy, has also taken on the task of typing his articles and does so with such grace and kindness no matter how busy she is. Marge at the front is truly a shinning light. She is always on top of the resident's whereabouts and truly engaged in there daily activities. Bridget is always so cheerful in the evening and so kind to my father, always interested in his daily goings on and a great way to end the day with a cheerful good night. Bobby, my dads personal friend and wonderful driver who makes seeing my mom so easy and special. This list goes on....and a shame to not mention them all. Yes, its impossible to pick one...so, I say ATRIA DARIEN is a single winner!
Bless 'em all!Bless 'em all!The long and the short and the tall;Bless all the cooks and hidden ones,Bless all the maintenance men and their blink-in sons,`cause we're saying good luck to them allAs back to their stations at Atria they stand,Waitresses amd nurses so cheerful,So cheer up, my lads and ladies, and Bless 'em all!Nobody knows what a burden you've been,So cheer up, my lads and ladies, and Bless 'em all!
My mom has been at Atria for over a year. It's been a wonderful year filled with enriching activities, laughter and friendships. Nothing is perfect but this is close. It was a slow start for her but she would tell you now that it was the right move for her and she's glad she chose Atria Darien! Thank you for making my mom feel so comfortable there.
