The only state Veterans Home in Hawaii these folks take pride in serving the veterans every day. Their staffing levels are so much higher than everyone else in the area. They are definitely five star! The facility is really close to the hospital too. There is a feeling of Aloha as soon as you enter the building!
As of 9/8/20 this facility had 74 residents, 58 have tested positive for COVID-19 and 9 of those have died. Avalon HealthCare keeps saying they are working “tirelessly to protect” residents but the 78.3% rate of infection is proving their statements false. Protect the vets in your family by keeping them away from this place!
They served their country. There’s no better way to thank them for their services than serving them back. Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home is the best place for our wounded warriors. With the best quality of care provided by staff who’s team work is just amazing! Yukio provides clean, comfortable, safe and secure home away from home.
