My mother was a resident for 2.5 months.  She often complained of late and/or cold meals.  Getting a nurse during covid was a big challenge.  I was not allowed in and had to speak or visit out her room window.  When finally time to move her out, I was given a final payment bill, which was paid in full.  2 months later got another bill showing we owed another $1200 dollars.  HUGE SCAM GOING ON HERE.  Stay away with your loved one.

I’ve worked at UCC for a little over 3 months, best faculty members I’ve worked with in a long time. Easy to get along with, out going and helpful. The residents are ALL truly amazing, love hearing their stories and getting to know them more. I’m excited to see where UCC will take me.

I have worked at UCC over two years now. I absolutely love the residents there, they are truly my people. I started on the floor as a CNA then went to Activity Director from there Dietary Manager. I wouldn’t be happy any place else but there. We are growing and have grown so much over the past two in a half years. I can not wait to see what the next two years brings ❤️

I have been working at Union Care Center for almost a year. What I have found are down to earth people. Since we are living in the Covid times, I know times have been trying but they have only made us stronger. Our CNAs, Nurses, Housekeeping, Dietary and all the rest of us, pull in as a team for the residents sake. No matter the struggle, we try to provide the best care to them because they deserve it. This is their world and we are just living in it to hopefully make it better for them. I unbiased give this place 5 stars, as when I had my interview they were already giving me open arms. It has not shown me any different. ❤

Went in for an interview. Said they would contact me. Had another interview with regional director who told me I would hear back from facility. Left a vm with Interviewer with no contact back. Turns out lady was a friend of step mom and she told her they aren’t hiring bc facility is shut down from covid, but no communication to me. Sounded like a good job, but not benefits and wouldn’t negotiate with pay. After reading reviews, sounds like I dogged a bullet with this place. I wouldn’t recommend, bc it started out with no communication.

Union care center went from looking like a brand new facility to being amongst the worst ones I visit in a matter of 3 months. The nurses have terrible attitudes. I can only imagine how they treat residents. The place also reeks, somehow worse than other nursing homes. Don’t leave your loved ones here, please.

I have been working at this facility for a year now. We are learning and growing in our jobs but we love the residents and want the very best for them. My family and I just recently added my grandma as one of our residents. She is adjusting well and everyone loves her. She gets therapy and love from the staff. If there were issues, they/ we are working hard to make this the best place to bring a loved one.

This is the best facility I've ever worked at they are small they are tearing the administration has no hesitation and getting out on the floor and helping us clean or do our daily job. As a CNA working there and being in this field since 1997 I am very impressed they try very hard to please everyone. We all know in life there's no pleasing everyone every time but these guys do try they try to keep their stuff up they try to boost everybody up they try to give the residents the food they want and the care they need Kaye the administrator is awesome I've never had an administrator be willing to sweep a floor or mop the floor or look at you and say hey good job. Then you got Dena she too as a DON we'll get out there on the floor with us and help us she will do whatever she needs to do to get her CNAs and her nurses through the day. Tabitha although she is leaving which is sad to see is the best ADON I've ever had she will help spot you when you're using a hoyer or a lift that you have to have two people for when your coworkers are busy with other residents. they all listen whether it's personal or work related to the issues you have and try to make the changes that need to be done or help you figure. Now for the residents in this facility they're awesome they like to have fun and a good time so don't we all. So when they look at you and tell you they love you and they miss you when you're gone for just a day it really does make you feel like you're part of the family. So if my mother would be alive today this is the kind of facility I would put her in loving caring and trying not perfect darn closeso if you have someone you love and you want them to be taken care of to the best abilities of a CNA an administration office and nurses this is the place to put them.

I took a leap of faith and decided to join Union Care Center's amazing team the end of September last year in the business office❤ There is no doubt that Covid has made everything challenging but what I have seen is so much strength down those halls and in the building in general. The residents are kept in mind, as I see everyone trying their best for what is good for each. Kindness spread throughout creating the family-like atmosphere.

Every other nursing home is allowing residents to be seen, even Grandview for Gods sake but Union Care Center continues to allow their patients to get bed sores and fall out of bed and not take care of patients while refusing to let anybody in to check on them!
