I worked here for about 5 months and while I loved my actually job/duties, there were enough bad apples to ruin my time there. First issue: If you are white, young, and pretty, you will not last. Black girls will continuously bully you, spread rumors about you, and report you for petty things which will mostly be made up and/or highly twisted. While I’m here I’ll mention on the ENTIRE GROUNDS there are only TWO WHITE CNAs and ONE WHITE Med-Tech. But all the high superiors are white, and racist towards the few black supervisors. Second: RULES BETWEEN STAFF ARENT CLEAR. I am told multiple times that leaving a resident alone in the living area (with other residents) , while I use the bathroom, is okay. Other companions do this. But then one day it was decided it was not and that I cannot use the bathroom or get water during a shift. I leave a resident in a living area for less than two minutes, and I got fired for it. Third: favoritism. If I had acted like this one female server, who I’ve seen make a resident cry from being so mean, I would have been fired on the spot. But this girl gets to work there for 5 years. All while never doing her job right or treating residents properly. I was fired today after I went to HR yesterday to report being bullied and threatened with physical violence all within the last week; for reasons that were NOT VALID. In NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM should ANY employee be allowed to cuss, scream, threaten to harm, and bully someone and get a slap on the wrist. Instead of keeping the girl who a lot of people loved, you kept two bullies, who should NOT even have their jobs right now. I’d also like to add on: Vickie Brown, who is head of Assisted Living, has hated me since day one. My manager and I could never figure out why. When I was chosen to take a med tech exam, she confronted my boss and told her “ya know she’s stupid” to dim my light. She also was upset and shocked when she found out I had passed the message tech exam with flying colors. I recently discovered she used to be in a serious relationship with my step dad, whom she still loves and contacts to this day. She hates my mom and is jealous of her; and therefore, hates me.
