Poor service.  I have a friend there.  You can call the nursing station at various times  at the Skilled nursing and it rings 20 +  When and if you do get someone, what you ask is never followed thru.  Very disorganized facility.  Patient missed dinner once due to Dr appt, and they gave her a peanut/jelly sandwich for dinner and she can't even have that due to kidney problems.

Crabby staff. Throw a blanket at my grandfather instead of placing it somewhere. Then it falls off the edge of the bed and a man who is not supposed to be bending, lifting, or twisting (their acronym, BLT), is forced to BEND and pick it up himself. I don't care how annoying your patient is. I don't care HOW hard your day has been, you chose this profession, so do it with some class and dignity, and maybe a LITTLE empathy. You should never toss anything at a 90 year old weak man or ANYONE for that matter. Sick, disturbed, disappointed. Takes them 3 hours to bring medication, blankets, anything. Bring the meals so late after requesting that their cold and inedible. USE YOUR COMMON SENSE AND DO NOT COME HERE!

My father has stayed here several times after his surgeries and I would highly suggest.  The facility is extremely clean and the staff is excellent - from the receptionist to the nursing staff, physical therapists and social workers, everyone has always been friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.  I wouldn't have my father stay anywhere else in the future.

This is the worst place and not of our choosing. Due to my sister getting COVID at one of their other facilities , she was transferred to ShorePointe for quarantine. During the 8 days she was there she deteriorated due to them not meeting (basically ignoring)her dietary needs, a raging UTI and properly attending to a finger wound and her diabetes. We had her taken to a nearby hospital, where she is now being treated for dehydration, infection and her blood glucose. I wish we had pictures. My sister suffered a stroke and was unable to manage her cell phone easily with one hand.

Do not send your love one here. There are only a handful of caring employees. I thinks it's terrible they have dr's but they don't see the pt. My dad's been there since the 10th of November. The 1st 3 days they wouldn't give him his breathing treatments. It takes hours to get a pain medication if they remember along with antibiotics. The 1st 2 days I had to bring his meds from home. The food is not worthy to be eaten by anyone 80% of the time. The nurses are pretty grumpy. My dad had back surgery and has had to do things his Dr. Directly advised not to do! This place doesn't care. Neither does Administration. They just want the money

Absolutely not the place for a loved one!!! I have never been treated with such disrespect and down right disgusting actions by the receptionist, nurses and their manager by the name of Claudia! (was told she was the weekend manager, but who knows, I was told many other things that were untrue)! Claudia was verbally abusive, and was quick to share just how she felt about my mother after having contact with her for a mere 2 days!!! Made me sick to my stomach!! Absolutely no compassion and untrained staff!! In addition, no leadership contact information available to try and resolve issues and concerns. I was told by staff, leadership doesn’t work the weekends, to call back during the week. Not the type of business to “not be available” for issues!!! Tried to submit a review on ShorePointe’s website of which of course it wouldn’t submit it. I am sure it has to be a five star for that to happen, so don’t go by the stars on their site! Yes, my mother is leaving that facility!!!

My grandmother was at Shorepointe rehab for three weeks the staff there is so compassionate and caring I am beyond pleased with theirs service, communications skills from the nursing team and therapy. As a health care worker i know that just like any other facility there may be some staffing issues from time to time that cause delays but I blame that on Covid because the staff truly did an exceptional job. So kind and helpful. Definitely will be back for her back surgery

I agree with Mary Barber. This is Maja Barber her sister. However I am using my sisters computer. From the experiences my mother has told us, the conditions in this caring facility are far from that. Items were missing and from all of the issues from how the staff all treated her and the fact she was sent home with open wounds tells you that prisoners in jail get treated more humanely than patients do in ShorePointe.

Do not put your loved one in this facility. I’m begging you. Worse-run nursing center ever. We have been trying for weeks to see a family member (by appointment only) and every time we call, we leave a voicemail and the so-called “Scheduler” does not return our calls. Finally after leaving her a curt message, she does call back and give us a date and time. However, when we drive there, we are told no such appointment exists. They are playing mind-games with people. No one is doing their job. They should all be terminated immediately. Poor excuse for a nursing facility. In the meantime, we still cannot see my husband’s brother.

My mom was there for approximately 7 months. She passed away in March 2021.I am truly disappointed with the care that she received. She had a bed sore on her tailbone that never healed. She than developed a sore on her heel of her foot that never went away. She sat in her wet diaper for sometimes up to 8 hours!!! The overall response time was horrendous. The food, not great! We were making our own food and dropping it off for her dinner.Trying to call the nurse'sdesk was a joke!!!! Very disgruntled.

My mother was in here, for 3 days before she went into the emergency at st john's hospital and almost died. They tried to give her wrong medication, and she said they left her lay in her own poop for hours on end ignoring her, and of course used covid as a excuse not to allow us to visit her. My mother almost died. Do NOT allow anyone you love into this facility, imo.it doesn't matter what public relations pictures they show of a place, if your loved ones are not cared for properly. and yes, we all know we will get a reply of "we would love to hear about your situation, please call us and help us resolve the issue....but the truth is, this happens and has happened many time's, with many different people ...and yet the situations are not resolved yet.

My mom needed assistance walking and getting to the bathroom. Her very first day there, while I was on the phone with her she needed to use the bathroom. No call button, so I told her to tell for help while i was on the phone. No one came. I hung up and called the nurses station, 29 minutes later, still no help. I have attempted to call the nurses station and someone continues to pick up the phone and hang it up right away. Tried calling to get an update on my mom for over an hour and a half. Most of the staff have been extremely rude during my moms 16 day stay.

My 74 year-old mother contracted COVID-19 while hospitalized at R.O. Beaumont and had to be moved to a COVID Recovery Center until she could return home. Through my work, I was aware of the short list of facilities given extra State funds for the meeting the criteria to be a "COVID Recovery Center." I was impressed by ShorePointe's reputation and commitment to taking care of COVID-positive patients, so I felt good about choosing them for her extended care.I'm a RN and I've experienced nursing and support staff shortages in my career and know how devaststing it can be to a business. However, basic patient care shouldn't be sacrificed, even in those critical shortage periods. If a facility cannot safely administer medications as ordered, provide basic assistance to debilitated patients or even communicate a discharge plan, then they shouldn't be taking in any more patients until they are safely able to do so. In one week, my mother received less than half of her scheduled medications, was left stranded in the bathroom multiple times for over 30 minutes, yelling for help, because there was often no answer to call lights. Some staff were kind and well-organized, others were cruel and told my mother, "if you need to go to the bathroom, just go ahead and get there yourself," knowing that she wasn't able to stand without assist and her walker (which was out of reach). On her day of discharge, after being told for 2 days straight, by multiple staff members, that she was being discharged, when I arrived to pick her up, I was told she was not being discharged and that she was probably just lying about the discharge plans, "because she just wants to go home." I was horribly disappointed in ShorePointe, because I honestly believed she was going somewhere reputable. Do NOT take your loved ones to this facility.

My brother was just transferred there. He's worried about his meds not given timely. He has numerous health problems and it's imperative that all is monitored closely. I'm keeping close contact with him and noting everything he shares. Dialysis, hemoglobin checks and recheck of covid which should have already been done.

My grandmother only been there 7 months to learn to walk again. Now they put her in hospice and that's just wrong. Because they don't want to do there jobs. She says she don't like it there care is awful. They say she won't eat or drink if you don't treat a person right I wouldn't either. She eats and drinks for me. She died in there.

I've gotten one update on my mother she's been there a week. And that sounded like a script they wrote," she's eating ,she's sitting up in bed ,she's doing great any other questions"? I have a phone number for her I was able to after hearing she was doing great. She's pretty much bedridden I asked if her phone was where she could reach it ?she at least went and did that for me. Nobody can get in there to see their loved ones answering the phone and giving an update would be appreciated!
