Scottsdale Village Square is a GREAT facility!! My husband has been in this facility for 2 years.., the caregivers and nurses  that deal with these patients one on one. Are very caring  and go out of their way to tend to the needs of the residents ....The  facility is kept immaculately clean at all times ... The staff is very welcoming ... They keep the rooms clean, and the residents bathed , and clean... it's just a Great facility!!If you're looking for a great facility, check into Scottsdale Village Square ...   Your loved one will be treated with respect and dignity they deserve Always!!

I don't suggest this property to take care of your loved one. They can't keep track of prescriptions, doctor orders, DNRs, or even know which clothes belong to who. They do have some people who care. And for that, I am thankful. However, elderly care includes organization, sharing of information, and diligence to the details. They will ask you to bring more clothes, shoes, supplies but you will never see them again! This doesn't work well if you are trying to manage a budget! They have super high turnover of employees so no one know what is going on. Since Pacifica turn over, price increases kept on coming! Move on to another facility if you want good and consistent care!

We placed my mother in the Skilled Nursing wing at Scottsdale Village Square. She has only been there one week, and so far it has been a very positive experience. The staff is all very professional and accommodating and her strength is improving daily. We visit her multiple times per day and have never witnessed anything other than highly professional, quality care. For the person who complained in 12/18 about the problem with missing clothing, they have apparently solved that problem. We are required to log in everything we bring into her room and they tag all her clothes with her name. The facility is very accommodating, friendly, and extremely helpful as we navigate this new chapter of my mom's life.

I am updating this review to add a long standing issue with Vista North Memory Care.  While I am still happy with my mother's care, there is a big problem with the stealing of my mother's clothes and shoes.  We have spent at least $600  on clothing and shoes over the past 2 years.  I started taking photos of the new clothes when I dropped them off for her, I have complained, but I'm always told the clothes must be in the laundry.  Last Xmas I purchased a $80 robe for her and it's gone.  5 pairs of black pants, nightgowns, bras, tops, all gone.  Then the staff ask me to bring her more clothes! It's very falling to pick her up for an appointment and find her dressed in shabby clothes that do not belong to her.  SVS, you have a problem that needs to be addressed.

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!  Management and administrators need to spend some time at this facility at night and on weekends. On multiple occasions I observed workers eating food they just took off of patients' dinner trays, leaving the patients with little or nothing. Also saw workers take the good food off patient trays and replace it with less nutritious foods. Additionally, I saw staff remove food from the kitchen, pack it up and take it home.  Dietary. . .are you wondering where all of the ice cream goes?  The workers are eating it, NOT THE PATIENTS!  What else is being stolen?  Most of my relative's clothing and personal items have been stolen.  I have often seen patients left in soiled briefs and clothing while numerous staff members spend an hour in the break room chatting and giggling, ignoring patient call-lights.  What happened to honoring patient dignity??  Remember, you are all going to be in this predicament someday!  The lack of patient care and overall disregard at this facility can only be described as ABUSIVE!   WHERE IS THE ADVOCACY FOR THIS POPULATION OF PEOPLE WHO CANNOT ADVOCATE FOR THESELVES.  Perhaps the State Licensing Board needs to pay an impromptu visit!

Scottsdale Village Square is one of the best institutions I've seen caring for elderly patients, and after several years of assisting my grandparents as they age, I have seen plenty. The staff is not only courteous and friendly, but extremely professional and hard-working. The facility is bright and pleasant, and more importantly clean. There are several activities for patients/residents to participate in, and a lovely restaurant where we were able to enjoy a meal with visiting family. My grandfather stayed in the Kiva wing of SVS for about 3 weeks after his knee surgery, and then for another 3 weeks after being readmitted to the hospital for a bowel obstruction. I was so impressed by the care he received the first time, I wanted to make sure we were able to bring him back. Everyone was very communicative with both me and my grandfather, and worked around his pain, therapy needs, and dietary restrictions. The word seamless comes to mind when I think about their coordination of all of my grandfather's followup visits with doctors at the Mayo Clinic hospital (including scheduling), as well as making sure transportation was provided and a CNA was there to accompanying him. Although many great individuals work at this facility, I would especially like to thank Alicia, Amber, Courtney, Luz, Asante, Sherry, Katie, Jessica, Lara, Miranda, Anna, and Sarretta for making my grandfather's recovery period more pleasant. I'd also like to thank the staff for checking in with me when my grandfather returned to the hospital for 2 weeks. I would definitely recommend Scottsdale Village Square to anyone and will most certainly bring my grandfather back should the need arise. They deserve more than 5 stars!

do not, do not, do not send anyone that you love to this place....Scottsdale Village Square is understaffed except on days that families come, then it is over staffed....it is all a show....my 90 year old mother was there in the physical therapy rehab wing after she had fallen and broken her pelvis.....there were nights that they did not remember to feed her...there were times that she had to pee and poop in her pants because no one would come help her to the bathroom, if they did get her to the bathroom she would sit in there forever waiting for someone to help her back to her bed...we finally had someone in the family with her 24/7...one night when i was preparing my mother something to eat in the kitchen because no one had given her her dinner, there was an elderly woman close in age to my mother in a wheel chair sitting in the dark in front of a cup of cold tea....she asked me if i was her nurse and could i take her back to her room....she did not know her room number.....i pushed that poor little lady all over that floor for a half hour and never even saw a person on the staff....i eventually took her to the other wing and found a cranky nurse that didnt want to be bothered and told me to take her back to her wing...i told her no, that she had to come with to find someone in that wing......we finally got her back into her room more than a half hour later....my mother was there for weeks, so we saw first hand what the deal was....its criminal how this place is run....these patients are neglected....except, of course on days that families come...

It's a great organization to work for; our staff is always supportive whenever I need any help taking care of the residents which is my primary responsibility. I have work at other facilities that didn't have the same teamwork that is not the case with Pacifica Senior living we all work together which makes my job less difficult. I work here for some time now and I enjoyed working here. The staffs and residents are all seems happy here.

I have been working at Scottsdale Village Square for over 3 years. I have never worked in an environment were the staff so genuinely care about the residents. If you take a tour of our grounds on any given day you will pass caregivers, diet aides, CNA's, etc. all greeting residents by name and giving them hugs as they pass. I am also impressed every day with the level of respect and empathy from upper management; to say they care about their employees is an understatement; I feel valued and appreciated each day I work here. I couldn't think of a better place for a loved one to live, or for a friend to work. Scottsdale Village Square is the place to be!

SVS is an amazing community. The fact that a large percentage of the staff has been there 10, 15 and even 20 years tells you their employees are happy. And happy employees make for happy residents! Everyone we meet, not just the nurses and care teams, but support staff and management, are professional and genuinely care. They are so helpful and very communicative. My brother-in-law is respected and sincerely cared for at SVS. We've experienced many SNF over the years and SVS is the best.

They are aware of his challenges and respond with great kindness and clarity. They keep me fully informed of my brother's medical condition, his psychological needs and challenges. This is not a good place. Do not take anyone there for any reason. My husbands sister in in this facility and the treatment is not very good at all. She is wheel chair bound, and they take it from her. On the phone with his sister she was calling for help to use the restroom and nobody came to help her. When she has accidents they put her outside while wet as punishment. The list goes on and on. They never barley answer the phone and limit her calls to 10 minutes. Most of the staff that answers the phone are extremely rude. I do not recommend this facility to anyone.

As his wife, I am the one who worked with staff members to set up his admittance.
