Where can you live on the water and walk to so many places. The pinellas trail is so close and I like to walk and ride my bike. There is a small strip mall in walking distance so I can go get something to eat and shop too. My bank is less than 2 blocks away as well. I live on the 4th fl so the elevator and trash chutes are great!
I have lived in different parts of FL over the years and landed here at Scottish Towers. What can I say Dunedin is a perfect location for me.... It is so close to everything and I can walk to so many places which gives me exercise and I don't have to try to find a parking spot. They have a lot of amenities and activities here. The team at Scottish Towers are amazing.
BED BUGS, for the past several months they have been dealing with bed bugs, This apartment sucks you in because it's beautiful location, can't be beat! The apartment itself is literally falling apart; appliances are out of date, everything in the inside of apt is outdated and old but for the location I could overlook that but the bugs are atrocious and the pipes leak and the electric bill is outrageous due to everything being so old. The worst thing was my senior dog never adjusted to apartment living and I had to give to my ex to take care of, he's sixteen and can't see or hear so I gave him back. The apartment complex refused to give me back my dog deposit when he was here for only a couple months. That was the worst, second think they never compensate for or fix is the elevator. It's breaks at least once a month and I live on the third floor. Way way over for the service you get here, renter beware, they will lie about the bed bugs but ask the neighbors
I just moved in and couldn't be more pleased. All the staff are great and Karly has been especially attentive and responsive. I moved here sight-unseen, long distance, and now know how fortunate I was to find this place. My apartment was immaculate when I arrived and there are no maintenance issues. The grounds are very clean, the neighbors are friendly and the area is pleasant and convenient. I'm looking forward to a long, happy life here at Scottish Towers!
Kept pumping up rental prices more and more with the excuse that they were doing it on market value. The apartments are very old and they had very cheap appliances and carpeting. The beach was far away and in the back there was only a little pier. Look someplace else as there are better places if you do more research. The staff was not honest when I asked questions about raising the rents. Always a flippant answer of depends on the real estate market.Save yourself from unnecessary problems. Find something better.
This place is really kind of amazing. It is a 55+ apartment community right on the Gulf of Mecico, conveniently located in Dunedion. The 1 BR has a small kitchen, foyer big enough for small dining table, nice sized living room and bathroom. The bedroom is huge! Plenty of room for a king size bed and a sitting area, this is a real bargain at the rental prices.None of the apartments are on the water, but there is a dock and long fishing pier. At sunset many residents gather in this beautiful locatio and watch the sun set. They have a beautiful clean swimming pool and have a monthly activity, pot luck, BBQ.... which is a nice touch and helps you meet your neighbors. You can walk or ride a bike to several restaurants, bars, grocery stores...This is true orida living at its best! The Honeymoon Island causeway is walking distance also.Ok it is missing a few creature comforts, but the only flaws I can find are: no pantry in the kitchen, no waterfront apartments, no washer and dryer in apartments and no porches. Perfect sitting, elevators, tropical well kept grounds and it appears most people I have talked to there love it, that speaks volumes. What's a girl to do? Visit as often as I like and maybe at that magical age, who knows.......
We had been living in a VRBO, in Dolphin Pointe, while renovating our home to be ready to put on the market. That property is just next door to this property. We loved being in this area, and could not imagine moving away, inland. On a whim, we walked in to the Leasing office to meet Karly, Diane, & Linda. There was one 2BR/2 bath available! We needed to move in, as soon as possible. We were so impressed by the kind, quick, efficient work & action of Karly, the leasing specialist, who made us feel so special & welcome! Once we got approved, the Manager, Diane, and assistant Manager, Linda, worked so diligently to get the apartment to be move in ready, and it could not have been better...we even had the choice to be on the first floor, with a gorgeous view of the waterfront and Pier, with the swaying palm trees and scenic Pavilion that is right there by the well kept up Pier and barbecue area. Until we moved in, we had no idea how fortunate we really were...since then, we have experienced so many positive and appealing reasons to make us feel like we would want to stay here forevermore. All of the grounds crew and housekeeping work so hard on keeping this property and grounds so clean and well kept up. Seeing Rick, Regina, and Holly always working so hard, yet always with a smile, is so great to see. We love that we feel so close to them, now, since they are so good about making us all feel so welcome, even when they are working so hard. Even with the heat and humidity, they are always doing all they need and more, with so much gusto. The enhancements have been so wonderful! We love the new Beach area, kayak area and secure places for our kayaks and bikes, the outdoor grills, the Breezeways and the Pool area, with new colorful and comfortable furniture and umbrellas, the new landscaping, the laundry rooms and Pier areas, and everything around the property always looking so presentable and Clean! I cannot forget about the well decorated Clubhouse and Pool table, always being such a welcoming place to enjoy, too. We are so amazed at how many activities and special events are available for all of us to enjoy. The office staff works so hard to make this property to be so special for all of us living here! We love the Inspiring and informative Newsletter and monthly Calendar that keeps us abreast of all that is going on, too! We have had a few minor reasons to call Maintenance, and they both were on the evening or weekend hours. Terry and Pereyra were there for us, so promptly, and corrected what we needed with a smile and not making us feel so bad about disrupting their off duty hours. They are really good at their jobs!! We cannot express how good we feel to meet so many nice and pleased neighbors in this community, too. We cannot imagine finding another apartment or buying a condo we can afford, with all of these amenities and bells and whistles, right in this area, on the water, within walking distance to many different restaurants, fast food, Publix, Walgreens, Dollar General, and just minutes away from the Pinellas Trail, Honeymoon Island Beaches, the Dunedin Causeway, and even a gas station and the Jolly Trolley bus stop. I think I covered it all, but in closing, I would like to say that we think we struck gold finding this AMAZING Haven on the Waterfront to live at! We have not had one bad experience, living here. How can we ever express our deepest gratitude for all that you have done for us, Diane, Karly, Linda, Rick, Terry, Pereyra, Regina, Holly, and fellow residents? We continue to be so friendly and always making us feel so special, and we feel so welcome and feel so at home, here. You even have warmed up to our kids and their families. Our grandchildren love it here, and love the special attention from the Office staff and grounds crew and all. Our kids have a sense of relief knowing that we have found a new place to enjoy and live a simpler and very nice salt life. Our cup has runneth over...
I love live here!! I have a year and a half. My life is as always I wanted to live with the quiet, safe and good neighbors. The treatment of the staff are very attentive. The place is beautiful with an ocean view and we do many activities..No complaints I love live here!! I want that I can live many year here!!.😊 Thank you!!
The Staff at Scottish Towers ll goes above and beyond to make this community a nice place to live. My husband and I have been here five years and have been very content.Diane, Community Manager, has directed many recent improvements to the facility. Linda, Assistant Manager, is ready to problem solve if needed—always with a great attitude. Likewise, Karly, Leasing Specialist, is on top of her game. She presents the best first impression to the public and is eager to answer all leasing questions.Just as effective is the maintenance staff— always ready to help if an issue comes up.Thanks to a great staff,Barbara Demgen
I was a prospective tenant. Was shown one bedroom unit in ground floor had mold around aluminum window casing, mold on grout around tiles on wall around tub in bathroom, bedroom ceiling ac vent had mold and dirt. Room felt damn and had odor. Laundry areas in separate ground level building with no door. Open to outside. Need a cart to haul laundry. Not good for older residents. No easy assess to bring groceries from car to buildings, long walk need cart. Long walk from car, parking to any unit. Advertise 55 + but was told anyone over 18 can rent there.
Who you know, not what you know. Dont complain about anything bc they will evict you just for complaining of a maintenance problem, and if u try and contact their corporate bc their office did nothing at all, then u will be trespassed and then evicted just for exercising your rights under state landlord tenant laws to fair treatment, they will fabricate stories against you in retaliation. Missing mail, dont complain to the post office bc they will only breach your privacy rights to the leasing office and get u kicked out.
