Clean and friendly - having toured for Independent and Assisted living possibilities for our parents, we were impressed. Note, we don't know anyone that lives here, but we saw friendly interaction between the staff and residents. They have services for all levels of care. Jennifer was great about showing us the facility and educating us on cost and the process of applying.
Interesting a high percentage of reviews are employees to bring up the overall ratings. My family’s experience has been consistent poor employee performance not necessarily the employees fault. There seems to be a lack of employee training, accountability and understaffing compared to when my parents entered the manor 17 years ago. Most employees are friendly but that doesn’t really matter when the level of care is low. Independent living is probably good but Assisted Living and Health Care have far too many challenges. Food from the dining room leaves plenty of opportunity for improvement. I would attribute most of the problems to Corporate and Upper Management not giving Department Management the means, and personnel to provide a higher level of care. In the mean time we will continue to monitor and follow up with the care of my family.
Recently Salina Presbyterian Manor was voted a Reader's Favorite winner in a contest sponsored by our local newspaper. I totally agree with the rating - our experiences with the Manor and its employees have always been very positive. The care is outstanding and compassionate, and it's obvious the staff truly cares about the residents and their families. My husband and I have a lot of experience with the Manor; both sets of our parents have been living there for a number of years. We wouldn't trust anyone else with their care!
