Would not recommend this place at to anybody i recently just stopped working there after 8 months the residents are not getting the correct care they deserve they are always short on supplies never have wipes to clean a resident no gloves to work with , a few residents were scared to come out of there apartment they said they were getting beat on I’m just surprised state has not shut this place down they can’t keep any employees what so ever very unorganized, they will hire ANYBODY to work in this facility. Criss Kellogg the administrator doesn’t do anything but sit in her office all day long never checks on the residents or nothing & the resident coordinator Ashley Dunne Doesn’t Do ANYTHING but sit in her office all day in her phone instead of doing her actual job!THE STATE REALLY NEEDS TO CLOSE THIS FACILITY DOWN ITS VERY SAD INSIDE OF THAT BUILDING!
My father lived at SHSL for 3 years. The first two years were great, but new management and constant staff turnover resulted in me moving him out. He wasn't being bathed, he complained of bad food, his room wasn't being cleaned, we had to beg to get his laundry done, and the list goes on and on. The excellent staff who was there the first two years all left and the place has a different feel now. At one time, I would have recommended this facility, but not now. I just moved my father out two weeks ago and he is now in a place that knows what they are doing. I wish I would have moved him sooner.
So sad! These residents do not get the care they deserve anymore. New management, took over and now poor resident care. I always said, I would never work for a facility that I would not put my mother in. I now no longer work there. They can't keep staff and they actually wonder why. I hope state shuts them down and those residents go to a caring facility and actually RECEIVE care. They deserve the best!
This place has declined under new, poor management. Seems like the building is for sale based on rumors in the community and reduced lack of involvement by the 5 different owners. Their day staff is lazy so they will just put your loved one in a wheelchair so they don’t walk around...then naturally their muscle strength declines...so then they start to complain that your loved one can’t get up and do anything for themselves. It’s ridiculous. Little engagement by staff to residents. NO engagement by managers to residents. They do not know how to care for memory care patients. It’s treated like a psych ward. We moved our loved one to a new facility and he is thriving within the first day!
I have had my mother at this facility for the past 3 years. The administrator, Dustin, has been a great addition over the past year. He has gone out of his way to make sure that my mother is taken care of and communicates with me on a consistent basis. The staff are some of the best - they truly care about the residents and they make sure they are well taken care of and happy. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for their family members.
My name is Ron and I just took a tour of a very pleasant assisted living facility called Safety Harbor Senior Living in a quaint little community near the Clearwater area called Safety Harbor. Safety Harbor is the superlative example of a nostalgic good old fashion hometown type of living. The towns’ charm and serene atmosphere is hard to surpass and is enhanced by the well groomed foliage and landscaping throughout the small municipality. When you visit this assisted living facility nestled in this tranquil community you will find as I did that the owners of the facility took great pride in not only the building but with the staff as well. It is unfortunate that my mother is nearing this stage in her life where I must look after her living arrangements. When the time comes I will highly recommend Safety Harbor Senior Living for the location, decor, culinary, staff and caring that I saw during a brief but very impressive visit.
