Do not let your loved ones go here. They do not take care of their patients. It is Covid 19 infested the staff does NOT care about life. They lie about the condition of your family member - if and when your are able to get them on the phone. Any rehab would be better than this place.
I have worked here as a CNA and now an LPN for more than 2 years. I have a passion for the elderly and very dedicated to make them feel loved and well cared. Ross Rehab Unit is the best with good Physical Therapist Team. We are glad to say we are 100% Free from covid19 now and we thank God.
my mom is currently a resident here and she has such a fantastic level of care. she has lived here for 18 months with advanced stage dementia. even though she cannot do anything for herself, she is always treated with a huge amount of dignity and respect and she receives positive one on one attention due to her difficulty with socializing. the entire staff is always helpful, and it is refreshing to see admin staff out and about interacting with the residence and knowing them well enough to know likes and dislikes and such. true circumstance of fate brought us to this place and I cannot say enough good things or thank them enough for all they do!
My mother has been a temporary rehabilitation patient three times at this facility. When having to choose a facility for Mom to recouperate from surgery, we couldnt have been more comfortable! This is one of the nicest, cleanest and finest nursing care facilities I have ever seen!! Thank you Ross for everything you have done for my mother. You made her very happy and comfortable during her stay.
For the past four years I have visited Ross Memorial and other care facilities on Christmas Eve as my way of trying to bring some Christmas cheer to others on what can be a lonely night for some. Of all of the places I go, Ross is not only the cleanest but is the place filled with the most love. The care I see from those working there does not just seem to be because it's their job, you can tell it comes from the heart.
Ross memorial is one of the best nursing homes in Kennesaw, clean and healthy environment, courteous and friendly staff, excellent administrative staff it's a home away from home.Fresh attractive meals provided on a daily basis. Feel free to come and take a tour, your love ones would be more than happy to make Ross memorial their home.
I am a retired psychiatric nurse and currently a rehab patient here at Ross Memorial. The staff are loving, competent and very eager to help. The place is spotless and it smells great. I had a lot of wrong preconceived notions about nursing care homes. They explain everything to me and they really seem sad when they can’t meet any requests. They hand cooked a grilled cheese for me when that was the only thing I felt like I could keep down. I wish I could bring them all home with me when I’m discharged. I’m so grateful there is still love in caregiving. The past year has been hard on all professional caregivers but the staff here haven’t gotten too burned out to keep caring.
During the Corvid 19 crisis I would not recommend this facility. They have repeatedly misled me about things going on in the facility. My Aunt has Alzheimer’s, so the only people I could rely on for information were the employees. Unfortunately I would usually call and have to leave a message. I did not get return phone calls trying to find our how my Aunt was doing. We never had a plan of care meeting and then suddenly without warning we were having a discharge meeting. My mother had also been in the facility just prior to my Aunt being there. It was 2 days into her stay when the lock down for senior facilities started. While she was there they had 2 cases of the virus. We were notified. During my Aunts stay this went to over half of the residents there having the virus. We were never once notified of what was going on and how she was being kept separate. They led me to believe she had also been tested while she was there when she had not. Getting anyone to return a call during this time was horrible. Not a good time for any senior to be in any of these facilities.
I have been an employee for 23 years. I love that Ross is a family owned company! The administration shows so much compassion for the residents. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! If I’m at work or at my home, I’m with family! Residents are the #1 priority! Love Ross and my job!❤️
Went there to check it out looking for a rehabilitation facility for my elderly mother. We were given a tour of the facility and all I can say is before you send a loved one to this place, check it out yourself. The entire facility smells of urine and feels like a place just waiting for death to come knocking. We couldn't get out of there soon enough.
Ross Memorial's administration has serious problems. They don't have knowledgeable admission staff to support the family through this transition. I was told it was not their responsibility to make any phone calls or counsel me on what was needed to get my mother admitted. I was told I should have been instructed by the facility my mother came from. She stated I should have just given her everything she needed, that I was supposed to know about in advance. My father had just passed a few days earlier and I didn't want my mother to be left behind in another state 600 miles away with no family close by. I have not been able to work for a full week (taking care of my mother) due to the slow and incompetent response from Ross Memorial's administration. Phone calls were not returned timely, sometimes as many as 7 plus hours later. Ross Memorial has been a very expensive mistake. I am a professional, (accountant by degree) and I have never seen such unprofessional behavior before. I have worked in hospitals and nursing homes and have never seen such issues. Also their director supports this staff member without investigating the situation.
My mother did 1 month rehab here for hip replacement. This is a wonderful place. Everyone from the front office to maintain and everybody in between were wonderful to my mother. I was there everyday and watched everyone. If I needed rehab again or long term I would be back here! With all the great help after 2 new hips my mother walked out of Ross.
