3 out of 5 stars. Based on 2 reviews
Employees working for The Goodman Group in the Largo, FL area have mixed opinions about their experience. On the positive side, they report that they can work all the overtime they want and that the facility is nice and the staff is great. On the negative side, they report that nurses are expected to be on call and are often required to work mandatory overtime. They also report that the staffing is inadequate and that the CNAs contracted by the agency often do not follow instructions from the nurses. Additionally, employees report that the reputation of the facility is bad in the community and that the care provided to residents is borderline neglect. Excellent assisted living facility. Help all very friendly, and food is very good. The only complaint I have ever heard from my Mother is "They gave me too much, and I could not eat it all." A little pricey, but if you want a good place with good care for your parents or grandparents, I would highly suggest you check out the Palms on Lake Ave in Largo. Three buildings with different levels of care at each.
I’ve been an employee of regal palms for 15 years now. Seems like only a blink of an eye. When you love what you do, loves the people you work with and all the residents that live there, it’s a wonder thing. I’m ever so glad that I applied to work at the palms of largo. So far it’s been a fun and memorable time. Here’s to as many years more as I’m able to work. Leslie Cservak. Dietary employee and server for 4th floor memory unit
Love working at regal palms . Staff is amazing , residents are even more amazing . From nursing to kitchen staff even house keeping and laundry all the way to maintenance to administration we have a great staff. Staff really cares for our residents . We go above and beyond to make sure your loved ones are happy. So far this is the best assistant living / memory care I have ever worked for . I would recommend Regal Palms to anyone .
Searched many Assisted Living residences and Regal Palms Independent/Assisted Living was the most like home. Mom has lived here 13 years. Dad was here as well until he passed on in 2016. Workers there are like family to me. Tonight had the best New Years Day dinner- filet mignon and lobster. What a great meal that was. The Life Enrichment Department can't be beat. They CARE about residents and do what they can to keep them happy and entertained. No where else would I want my Mom to be.
I had been living in Montgomery for over fifteen years and my last year or so in a Independent facility as the youngest resident and just very busy with activities it did not compare with this place. Greeting was hard. I got in at Midnight, and told we were concerned how we were traveling. They called me when we had reached the Florida state line. We were tired I got in with my three babies (cats) and saw the eatery and greeted very well. I made three very nice residents and greeted by nursing department personal. Made to feel apart of this place. With nursing department every thing is set up beforehand to get better with walking and so forth I feel at home and at ease.
Worked here since 2011. I left to pursue what I thought was a better opportunity only to return back to Regal 1 year later. I love working for Regal Palms and The Goodman Group. Rich Lewis-Executive Director, had to make allot of tough decisions during this pandemic and has kept the residents and team members as safe as humanly possible this entire time. Thank you Rich!
My parents are currently at Regal Palms. They used to love it, but in the last several months things have gone down hill FAST. Of particular note the meal service has changed dramatically. They used to have a choice of 3 different entrees at night, now it is one, and more often than not, that one is inedible.A lot of the reviews I read mentioned how good the food and food options are - that is no longer the case.I've tried to call and write to their Corporate offices, but no will will talk to me or response. When Management doesn't care, care goes down.
