Going through an ownership now. There is much confusion as to all the new changes and staff cutbacks. They have fired 11 staff members that have not been replaced. Dining services have been reduced to Grab and Go and the dining room has been closed, we are hoping temporarily.It is a very frustrating time for these elderly residents.
When my friend found this place for me I was thrilled - he is a very busy attorney and often works in S. Korea but I was so amazed how everything moved along at a quick space - I am truly blessed by my good friend Joe and God above. MD
When Pacifica took over Monte Vista at the beginning of May they laid off people in all departments. Food services was the most severely affected. Residents are not allowed to eat in dining rooms but must go to cafeteria and pick up food and take it to their apartments. Residents are told this is because there is not enough staff. This is definitely a hardship and also not physically possible for some residents.
Both Dustin and Jackie are great to work with. They are so helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. They understand the needs of the elderly and they care dearly! Thank you all and to Monte Vista Village for a great team! I appreciate how much you care for the elderly!
My mother said she hasn't been this fulfilled in years. I can't believe what you get for the money. The meals the housekeeping the entertainment! Oh my the activities and entertainment I think are above and beyond. The grounds are beautiful. Every apartment opens to the outside. The staff is so caring and hard-working. I am so happy my mom is here. I feel so welcome there. I feel like we are all family.
A wonderful community. From the beautiful landscaping, to the excellent care, it’s a place to make great friendships and enjoy a high quality of life. Really enjoy the many events, activities, and resident shuttle service to nearby shopping.
