Only went there one time. Rude front desk woman and agree with other posts about them being lazy. My grandma was there and they were not giving her water when she asked for hours. So who knows what else they were not doing.. I had to speak to people in the front to get her water. She passed away days later. Which I truly feel was due to a lack of care and concern at this facility. 1 star is too much for this place. Nightmare

I just spent a month at ManorCare in Dunedin, for a hip fracture, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the care I received. The therapists were so well trained, kind and attentive that I don't think I would have been so prepared to transfer to my home, and know I could stay safe without their help.Beyond the therapists, the nurses and aides were amazingly supportive in helping with my recovery--answering questions I had and keeping on top of my medications, as well as my preferences. The facility is not luxurious, but I was there to get the best care I could get, and in that regard, I received more than I could have anticipated. If left feeling I was leaving behind good friends.

This was our first experience with finding a rehabilitation hospital, needed after my husband’s hospitalization that lasted about 2 weeks. We chose Manor Care based on online reviews only. My husband went there mainly for physical, occupational and speech therapies. Online reviews indicated that these services were above average at Manor Care. During his stay, Manor Care also had to manage his diabetes and associated conditions. We were satisfied with the care he received over the course of about 6 weeks. Manor Care provided excellent PT, OT and speech therapies consistent with the online reviews. With respect to his other health conditions, we were pleased that Manor Care staff very promptly addressed those and needed tests and treatments were readily available. So there were no delays for diagnoses and treatments. Generally day to day care was good, but on occasion not so.We felt comfortable with Manor Care’s Covid safety plans which were of upmost importance to us. But that did mean that I could not enter the facility to see my husband, see inside conditions nor talk to health care staff in real time. Fortunately I could enter the lobby of the facility and talk with the director of nursing, an administrator and others who were readily available to inform me of his health status and answer my questions. Not optimal, but I found this to be very important so that I could provide critical information to inform his medical team. Because he was on the first floor, I could see him through his windows plus we were most grateful for outside visits on the facility’s patio. Our biggest dissatisfaction with Manor Care was with his release. We were just handed information and prescriptions to fill, but what we really needed was a meeting with a nurse to prepare us on his new medicines, how to administer them and how to exactly manage a urinary catheter!!! Because this did not happen, we had upsetting complications at home. Information on his insulin prescription did not convey what dose he should get nor how to measure out the amount needed. The pharmacist was also confused with Manor Care’s prescriptions and had to make numerous calls to them to figure it out. Because I had to spend so much time at the pharmacy, I had to leave my husband at home alone which was frightening and not in his best interest. Most preferably, we could have met with a nurse a day before his release to better prepare for his transition to home.We learned that here were many pros to using Manor Care such as excellent therapies, available staff, good care, etc. If his release had been better, I would absolutely have no doubts about using Manor Care again

First and foremost I would like to thank the entire staff at manor care for taking care of my dad. Everyone has been amazing, supportive, loving, kind & there for us anytime we have needed them. Especially Laura, Brittany & Jennifer, Denise, Kim, Cameron, Turner, Anthony & so many others I’m probably forgetting ❤️ My sister & I never have to worry because they always keep us up to date on his health if an issue arises. The facility is secure, clean & the meals are pretty good for nursing home food 👍. The residents have choices on their meals & are constantly mixing up the menu. They also encourage the residents (prior to COVID) to be social & host an array of activities. There’s a hair salon on sight also! My dad has been in the facility (or his home) for the last 3 years and we are grateful for the care he has received! I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone facing making this very hard & difficult decision.Shelly & Jessie

My husband was just discharged after a three week stay for rehab for a fractured hip. Placing a loved one in rehab during the Covid pandemic is a scary event. He was blessed to have a ground floor room with a big picture window so we could have a window visit daily. He was in quarantine so alone in a room with the door closed for the first two weeks. I cannot say enough for the caring professionalism of the staff. I received calls from the nursing station regarding medication changes. I arranged my visits to coincide with his daily physical therapy appointments, safety for the patient was a top priority and the window visits allowed me to see progress being made. He also had high praises for the food. And the meals I saw were always colorful and looked tasty plus there was a back up plan if the resident really did not care for what was served soup or a sandwich was available. All in all a totally positive experience.

I cannot express enough my thanks to everyone involved in her care.Because of Covid I was unable to be there to help my mother through all of this. But, because of the caring and professional staff I was kept informed and able to keep in contact daily and hourly if needed. This is a very trying time for health care workers, but their dedication to their profession shines through.Thank you all again,Carol

Dad broke his hip. After two weeks in the hospital he’s ready for rehab. So, first there was a three day delay. Some snafu between hospital, manor care and insurance. We finally get him there today and there is nobody at the front desk. So after fifteen minutes a nurse coming off her break let’s us in and gives us the code. The room wasn’t ready so they shuffled him between two other rooms. His TV doesn’t work. His call light didn’t work until I complained. The place is a little run down and a bit understaffed. Not horrible, but noticeable. Three stars feels about right. I will continue to update the rating as warranted.
