the most toxic facility ever! Don't bother applying at this place. Nurses are very unprofessional and unreasonable! If there was an option to give this place 0 stars I would! They don't follow schedule which goes to some CNA's! VERY TOXIC PEOPLE!

this place is a joke! do not leave your love one here!! my brother was admitted on friday the the 4 of june and the first day they will answer your call and the following days after no answer. finally sunday night the hospice nurse calls to tell me my brother is not doing good, and we should come but only 15 minutes each person. besides seeing him suffer and all alone at the end of the of hall it was obvious that they were not checking on him or even care about anyone there!!! my fear of him passing alone became reality. after i left i told them make sure you guys call no matter what time if anything happens!!! and monday morning they called at 7:20 am saying that he passed away at 6:20!!! i asked multiple times why the heck did we get the call 1 hour later???no one could answer my question!!! this place is very sad!!!

Why is place left to Operate?   My friend was treated so poorly she had to call Kuakini Hospital on her own because she was ill.  Who runs this place?

My mom just admitted to this facility about three weeks ago after she got discharged from the hospital.  At first, we don't really care about this facility because it is much older than Palolo which my mom had also stayed there before.  My mom is a very picky person and a clean freak.  I was surprised that she is willing to continue staying there without too much complaints.  Yes, the staff are all Filipinos and I have a hard time understand what they said.  However, with my experiences with other nursing facility, their services are much better.  They are more tentative and willing to listen to me and my mom.Especially thanks to the social worker.  She is very professional and helpful.  She has arranged a meeting with my mom and I to meet with the nurses, physical therapists, dietitian, etc. to go over my mom's status which I have never had one from the other facility.Five stars for the social worker and 3.5 stars for overall nurses.  They have great potential for improvements.  However, 1 star for parking because it is definitely a problem.  It is easier to find parking on the street.

This review will be a bad one smh... When we got here there was no parking at all and people were doubled parked an no space to turn around, mind you this is during the morning time. There were patients beds all over the garage now just imagine your love one will be lying down on these filthy dirty beds hmmm... Ok, when we walked into check in there was no one at the desk ... Until I said um does any one work here or what and they just look at you and kept talking in Filipino how's that one ... then finally someone comes to the desk an ask you can I help you my exact words " Did I interrupt your conversation over there..." his reply was a smerk an than oh no mam.. This is the reason why people get upset and write reviews like this. I never walked in a care facility like this and the workers are Soooo rude and speak in there language, hmm I thought your suppose to Speak English at Your Job ... This was all during the morning . SMHSo walking through the hallway and heading to my dads room there were these bins all over the hallway that smelt like urine and BM , I was discussed ... I'm wondering how did this facility pass Health Inspection and OSHA cause I would totally shut this place down ... I would Fire the whole Staff !!!We did go back in the evening and the same thing and same treatment SMH... No one at the desk to check you in!!!! I told my sister just imagine anyone can walk in off the street with a Bomb or even a Gun and they wouldn't even know because they all eating together and talking away in there Chicken Language... SMHTo whoever owns or runs this facility I would do an over haul in your staff and your garage with those patient beds, if I were you . DO Not Have Any of Your Love Ones Come To This Facility At All !!! It's Unsanitary And Unprofessional And the Staff Gives You the Runaround Because They Don't Know There Job And They Ain't Trained!!!!

I am beyond pissed about the services we've received over the weekend. There is NO ONE that is able to help you after 3pm on a Friday, absolutely no one, all the nurses along with the nurses aides are trained to give you the run-around and when they're not doing that they start to speak in Filipino right on front of you to their colleagues which is absolutely absurd and damn right unprofessional! I highly recommend those that have family there to truly reconsider that, whose to say that the nurses servicing your family aren't mocking them in another language, they still deserve to be treated with dignity and spoken to in ENGLISH! As for the nurses, there was ONE in particular that was not helpful with my Grandma during the mid-morning who was extremely rough when assisting her, my advice to you is...IF YOU DON'T LIKE YOUR LOW PAYING JOB THAN QUIT! OH THAT'S RIGHT, THEY ALL PROBABLY DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT DOCUMENTS TO BE HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE AND THAT IS WHY THEY ALL CONGREGATE AND GET HIRED AT THAT PLACE. Even their director of nursing Laura is extremely unhelpful and speak to her workers in another language in front of patients and their families. Believe me when I say that if you do not initiate some major changes in your "systems" (whatever that is...since we weren't let in on the secret because we don't speak your language...yes me being sarcastic again) than expect a visit from someone who could potentially seize all operations there!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Most times my mother was left in her bed until one of us got there.  Then the aides would change her and bring her to the outer room. If one of us didn't go there constantly, my mother would have been totally ignored by the staff there.  Another visitor told me her mom was always left in a wet diaper and so had diaper rash. The only time they ever cleaned up was when they knew an inspection was coming up.

My Mom was staying here to recover from her illness.  The staff was very attentive to her needs.  Special thanks to physical therapist J.D. whom my Mom refers to as #1.  Knocking off a star since at times, trying to get in touch with her via telephone is challenging and the parking is a hit and miss.  Great location and easy to find.  Parking off premises might be your best bet!
