Employee Reviews for Enlivant in Cumming, Georgia
1.33 out of 5 stars. Based on 3 reviews
Employees in the Cumming, GA area have mixed reviews of working for Enlivant. The pros include great training in Chicago and a great staff. The cons include being put on a performance plan if there are a couple of bad months, bullying from anyone with authority, complaints being investigated but no action taken to resolve issues, backstabbing, unfair compensation, short staffing, and management in a constant disarray. Employees also report feeling overworked and underpaid, with no regard for personal needs or family life, and a fear of management retaliation if they cannot give them what they want. Overall, employees feel the place should be barred up.Employee Reviews for Enlivant

I put my mother in the memory care and like everyone I am sure she hated it and me for the first month. After that she has fell in love with this place and the staff that takes care of them. This is a great place and they take very good care of their residents. I highly recommend this place if you have a parent that just needs that extra help.
Since day one of moving my mother into Lanier Place, Jennifer, the Activities Coordinator has been amazing. She has done a great job of getting my mother acclimated to her new environment as well as getting her involved in the daily routine and activities of each day. Jennifer is always professional and kind to the residents and myslef when I visit my mother and has done a great job working with us on a visitation schedule. She is quick to communicate when there needs to be a change. Whenever my mother needs something she quickly reaches out so my mother is not without. I am grateful for the kindness and care that Lanier Place has afforded my mother.
We were lied to about the level of care this place could provide for our mom. Initially they seemingly did a good job but as her health declined so did the staff and overall experience. Numerous issues over the years. Missing personal items, failing scores with the health department regarding food services and staff turnover is ridiculous. There are a few wonderful employees but most are indifferent at best. We moved our mom out of this facility and Now that she is in another place, I question what took us so long. Stay clear.
I have been unhappy in the extreme with the lack of personal care my loved one received at this facility. Had I known what I know now, I would never have placed her in this facility. Now I realize how staff at a good facility can persuade someone with dementia to shower, change and do physical activity with encouragement, persuasion, and creative phrasing of choices: “We do showers three times a week here: do you want yours in the morning or evening?” Skilled staff don't take no for an answer, unless they absolutely have to. This is such a huge contrast with the culture at Lanier Place which was to accept a refusal for personal care with no effort to persuade. The result was neglect of clothing changes for my mother-in-law, to the point of infection. There were more lapses in care and even her vital cardiac medication, resulting in emergency hospitalization. I sincerely hope that changes are being made. As I implied, my mother-in-law is not there anymore, as of this month.
Update : thank you for addressing the concern, very happy to know action is being taken. Equipment can fail, and every building has a bad day. Keep up the good work. Thanks again! I visited today on business, and it was extremely hot inside the main building, well over 80 degrees I'm sure. Maybe they have a reason for this and maybe not. I was concerned :
Staff brags about recording without Notification or consent, management does nothing when notified. Same with sexual harassment/assault complaints. Lots of favoritism, employees sit and play or HIDE in resident rooms. One resident’s injury went septic because staff refused to change bandages. Will not drug test employees if they are acting crazy or if there’s been complaints.Reverse racism, employees will make hateful/mean remarks about other ethnicities but will claim they feel discomfort and discrimination when it’s in their favor. Lots of “not my hall, not my job”. Playing on phone while a resident is wheeling down the hall undressing and soiled.Would not put a love one there.
