I came in today to try to talk to the wellness/activities director about doing entertainment sadly she left for the day, but I was greeted by friendly staff. My aunt now lives here. A few months ago I interviewed for a job here sadly I didn't get the job, but no harm in trying. The facility is nice.

Lakeshore Senior Living is one of the most amazing spaces on earth. The residents brighten the facility with their friendliness and livelihood. They make this a home so warm and inviting with their smiles, pleasant conversation, and commaraderie. The staff are more like family and take great care to be sure to serve with humility and love. The atmosphere and ambience make it one of Macomb Counties most brightly hidden gems.

my mom has been living there since April 30th 2019. This place is awesome and although it is not all inclusive as far as nursing and everything goes like an assisted living place oh, they do have a company that subcontracts that out and we have her taken care of with them and they are amazing as well. the food is spectacular, the building is gorgeous oh, the people that work there are tremendously nice and pleasant and helpful. my brothers and I looked into other places nearby and most of them were pretty much the same price except for one of the newer ones and Grosse Pointe. That one is gorgeous just like where Mom is staying except it the one in Grosse Pointe cost almost twice as much for the same size apartment and does not have a view of the lake. LOL. Lake St Clair is right across the street and there's views of it from the front porch area where a lot of people like to sit after meals or a pub on the third floor which they called The View. The View has a spectacular view of lake st. Clair there seems to be almost endless activities for everyone. there is a library and a movie theater and a fully-equipped exercise room as well as Chapel have a beautiful dining room with outdoor seating as well. so far we are very happy and Mom loves it there.

Today there is an Easter Party here w an egg hunt for children, lots of activities & brunch w the Easter Bunny. From my room I am looking over a petting zoo & have my windows open to hear the laughter & squeals of joy from the kids. Also the lake is the background. Can't think of a better way to end my morning.

Love this place. Kinda sad that it is now an American House. It's clean and bright all the time. Seldom smells. Living quarters are 1 or 2 bedrooms apartments with full kitchen and separate living room. Meals are included. Lots of common areas to socialize. Laundry facilities on each floor. There is a movie room and The View (a bar) is nice!.

My grandmother stayed for quite a while. However, we ended up moving her to another facility. At the beginning, we thought the place was wonderful with their modern facilities and wide range of activities. As time went on, things started to go downhill. On one visit, we heard someone yelling for help from a neighboring room. Many staff members walked by without stopping. Eventually, my mom went to investigate and found a very old woman unable to get from her wheelchair into her bed. Of course my mom helped her, and the woman told her how the staff always ignores her when she needs help. We thought this was terrible, but my grandmother hadn't complained of anything so we didn't dwell on it. As time went on, my grandmother started to complain about the staff. We don't live close by, but have family who is able to her visit often. With covid, that obviously changed. When small inconveniences popped up such as my grandmother unable to find her phone or needing to reschedule physical therapy, we contacted the staff as none of us could visit. The staff said they would help her and then never did anything. We had to hire a private doctor to visit her and ended up having to ask him to help find her phone so we could contact her. He said he found it in about five minutes. When we could finally call her again, she told us about the horrible way the staff had been treating her. She said that they had yelled at her, ignored her, left her without any interaction or help for days, and even had a habit of sticking their tongue out at her like a bunch of five year olds. We understand that my grandmother got harder to care for as time went on and it was likely time for us to find a place that could better suit her needs, but the lack of respect and kindness shown towards a very sweet and gentle elderly woman was horrendous. If your loved one needs any kind of help, they staff will view them as a chore and treat them very poorly.

Great place to work very clean and friendly but balance has to go they unprofessional there going to bring that company down fast they need to hire they own staff or call rite at home to staff there balance hire people who steal from the company I was in training and saw girl from balance stealing out of residents room I spoke up and got fired over it
