The recent COV-19 out break has been a challenge for everyone . Yes, we are all in this together . Even though we are far apart sometimes . Heritage has done such a wonderful job staying up to date and caring for it's residence . I know that my great aunt is in good hands . The idea of setting up appointments worked wonderfully . It has been hard not to visit her but we know it has been in her best interest . Thank you
It has been a very good experience. The best of dining, activities have been very interesting, care-giving has met all needs, socializing has been great, bus service has been fun, and Friday happy hour is always enjoyable and I love it here. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They have our Interest as their main concern. COME and join us. A friend. VIvian D.
I can't say enough amazing things about this place! I was in a crunch looking for the perfect place for my mom. Not just any place...the lerfect place for her. She was declining in her health and wellbeing and had to get her moved quick. The staff have been so accommodating and caring. They understood I am a single mom who works full time and goes 100 miles an hour. Steve and Tracee made this difficult process a breeze. My mom is now on the upswing and she's making friends there. She is active again and most important..my mom is happy.
Heritage of Sandy Plains has been the best thing that happened to my family in regards to my mother's care! The staff goes out of their way to make sure that Mom is well looked after despite her many health issues. And my mother is very particular... she likes things done just so. The team there has been very patient with her and interacted with her in a way that satisfies her exactness. The facility there is extremely clean. My mother's room has a very homey and comfortable feel. She enjoys having a private balcony. Mom expecially enjoys the activities provided by the facility. I have felt such peace of mind with their extreme safety protocol during covid-19. If you're looking for the best place in Marietta to care for your one of your loved ones, I give the highest recommendation possible for Heritage of Sandy Plains!
My family and I was placed in a difficult situation given my mother's medical condition and had to seriously consider a senior living facility. Tracee and staff at Heritage meet with me in person a few times, texted, and emailed answers to my questions and followed-up with me on a weekly basis. She referred me to some in home care and transportation alternatives as well. In the end my mother did not need a facility but I am thankful to have worked with Heritage at Sandy Plains
This is the first time we've used a senior care home. So, we were apprehensive. However, we can't say enough about the wonderful staff here and the care and attention my uncle received during respite care. We will not hesitate to use them again. Our family felt that everyone at Heritage went above and beyond and my uncle was smiling everyday. Thank you, Heritage of Sandy Plains for making this as easy as it could be.
Has no one heard of the bed bug problem?? My loved one had to be treated twice, and a staff member told me it's been going on over a year. I don't understand how this can happen, and why the families were not notified. I did report this to the state, but there have been no answers given to us family members, and that is unconscionable. There are currently (according to staff) three rooms with an active problem. And when they did treat the rooms, they did not treat the adjoining rooms. From what I've been told, Orkin is there a lot, but they still haven't gotten it under control- they even had the dogs out there. Disgusting!
I can think of only positive things to say about Heritage on Sandy Plains. What is not to like! From the moment you walk through the door you feel welcome. My Mom has been at more expensive and so called "fancier" places but you never felt the love you do here. Since the executive director, Steven, came almost a year ago the aesthetics and care have improved greatly. There is independent and assisted living plus Legacy wing for memory care. There are tons of activities arranged by a veteran social planner. If you like crafts, games-such as bingo-, chair exercises, in house movies, or a trip into the community to eat, shop or see points of interest you will be delighted. Friday is happy hour with entertainment, food and beverage. There is always something going on.The chef makes three meals a day and all of them are from scratch using only fresh not processed foods. His food is amazing and he is in the dining room to serve and check on things and all the help will pitch in as needed to help serve--everyone is hands on, working as a team in all they do.You feel comfortable with a nurse on staff and friendly med techs. They even have a wonderful beauty shop on site. In my opinion they bend over backwards to please and treat you like family. My Mom is 94 and on the first day there a nearby church came in for a sing along and gave everyone a poinsettia. The lady who assists my Mom called her a "princess" as she was helping her get ready for bed. That tickled me. Since then the same woman has informed me of any concerns with Mom's health--swollen ankles, a sore, or a bruise. This communication helps so I can check it out and do what is needed to help her.I am just so happy we found this place and have encouraged others to come; They did and are equally pleased.
