Overview of Professional Staff and Training

Our team comprises a diverse range of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. The Executive Director oversees operations with support from the Corporate Regional Executive Director. Our Activities Director holds a Master's in Counseling and has over six years of experience working with seniors. The Wellness Director is a seasoned RN with 23 years of experience. Additionally, I bring expertise with a Masters in Social Work and Counseling, along with a Georgia Real Estate License. Our Med techs are certified, and our care staff receive ongoing training under the supervision of our RN, who also benefits from monthly training sessions with our corporate nurse director. All staff members are required to complete continuing education hours and are supervised by our corporate regional directors.

Safety and Well-Being Measures

To ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, we provide 24/7 access to the building for families, with secure entry after 6:00 PM. A sign-in portal with a name tag and camera is mandatory for all guests. Our Memory Care community features locked doors at all times, with access provided by care staff. Residents have safety necklaces and help buttons in their rooms and bathrooms. Staff are equipped with walkie-talkies for immediate communication. Our Memory Care and Assisted Living sections are staffed to ensure attentive care, with activities designed to engage and stimulate all residents.

Transition Support Services

We encourage families to seek additional support services such as Home Health Nurses and Sitter services, which are available at an extra cost. While we do not offer one-on-one care, these services can be accessed for those who need them.

Transportation Services

Transportation assistance is available with a two-week notice for appointments, and we facilitate group outings to enhance the living experience of our residents.

Dining Experience

Our dining service is led by Master Chef Joe Chenot, offering meals that rival upscale dining experiences in Atlanta. Residents have the flexibility to order from the daily menu, with special diets accommodated as prescribed by their doctors. We ensure dignity and choice in dining for all residents, including those in Memory Care.

Addressing Complaints and Issues

A Resident's Council meets monthly to discuss community feedback and areas for improvement. Our staff, including myself, actively participate in these meetings to maintain high standards and foster open communication with residents and their families.

Communication with Families

We maintain open lines of communication with families, providing updates on their loved ones' well-being as requested. Care plans are tailored to each resident's needs, involving both the nurse and the family in the process.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Respite stays are available, with fees ranging from $150-$180 based on the required level of medical support care.

Pet-Friendly Community

We welcome pets, subject to a $500 deposit and approval from our Executive Director.

Vaccination Policy

Residents may receive Covid and flu vaccinations from their physician, as we do not administer vaccines on site.

Aging in Place

Our community supports aging in place, offering Memory Care for those requiring a higher level of care and encouraging the use of additional resources like Hospice, Home Health nurses, and Sitter services for those in need.
