My mother in law has been at Harmony Villa for a couple of years now and we couldn't be happier! They take such good care of her and the facility is an actual house which is super cozy without that institutionalized feel. The food that they make is always amazing as well. I have dropped by without notice on several times during meal times and they make the most delicious homemade food like tacos, enchiladas and meatloaf! My mother in law has dementia and she was at Silverado previously. Silverado was nice but felt very institutional and she did not receive the personal care she receives at Harmony.
Harmony Villa is a wonderful option for senior care! The home itself is newly remodeled, very clean, and provides a home-like, rather than institutional, feel for its residents. The location is beautiful and quiet. Staff at Harmony Villa provide quality care and homemade meals. Tammy is very caring and responsive to families' needs.
A new beautifully decorated board and care in Altadena with beautiful views of the mountains. Care is exceptional, menus are scrumptious and a wide variety of activities for seniors to partake in while maintaining their independence. Recommend you take a look, ask for Tammy!
I moved my mother into Harmony Villa September 2016. She was the very first resident at this boarding care facility. I was amazed by the care my mother received by the owners and caregivers. My mother was their number one priority and she started getting healthier and stronger as the weeks progressed. What I love about this facility is the caregivers and owners are very familiar with patients who have neurological illnesses + disorders. As I visited other homes, I did not feel comforted with the fact that those facilities were not knowledgeable about neurological disorders like Parkinson's and MSA. However, when I met with the owners and caregivers at Harmony Villa, I was constantly reassured that my mother would be well taken care of!I also really liked the fact that they were not hesitant to take my mother, at 57 years old. During the search process, all of the homes I visited only had elderly folks and I did not want my young mother only around elderly folks. I needed my mother to be in a place with young folks, high energy, lots of activities (indoor and outdoor). Additionally, Harmony Villa is centers people of color and multiculturalism, which was very important to me.The establishment is beautifully decorated and looks like a vacation home! Although my mother was uncomfortable the first couple weeks because of this new and unfamiliar lifestyle change, Harmony Villa became my mother's second home! She was allowed to have visitors multiple times a day. I received phone calls anytime my mother was rushed to the ER or whenever she was scheduled for a refill of her medication (in advance of course). I was never restricted from contacting my mother or visiting her.I know my mom was loved here at Harmony Villa and cared for in a deep way. Please highly consider placing your loved one in this boarding care facility! You will not be disappointed :-)
