Horrible service, the staff is horrible and unprofessional. There are maybe three staff members that actually show they care. The patients there are not being treated fairly and the social workers do not call back and show that they even care. I would never recommend this place.
Went to visit my husband at Grandview on Grand Street in New Britain I wouldn't even put my dog in that place it was so nasty and so disgusting there was s*** all over the floor all over the toilet it was nasty the nurses and CNAs are very polite but that place is disgusting and they don't even come check up on their patients I went there the other day and one patient beside my husband was almost on the floor like I said I will give this review a 0 don't even put your dog in there
The food portions very small, can't get info about patient care, don't follow through on taking care of patients clothing and personal items when they go to the hospital, they come back and everything is gone, I spent 350.00 on clothing and personal stuff for my sister, it's gone, a ring missing, therapy not followed through, cuts have bandages left in for more than a week, I can't get her out of there not next of kin
If it wasn’t for the dedicated nurses and cnas this place would not be open. Nurses and cnas truly do care for residents. I would not advise anyone to apply to be an employee here unless you want be disrespected by Admin ,DNS and ADNS . Grandview does not value their employees. Pay is terrible. Administrator does not know how to run a building, changes a Director of nursing every year and no positive changes have been made. If you have a choice please send your loved one else where. Not enough staff to provide adequate care. Nurses and cnas are often over worked and working short. Cnas work 1:30 at times with no help. Nurses do not have support from supervisors or dns when in need of help putting their nursing license at risk.
Mom was sent here after a fall and is now a hospice patient. Advanced Medical Directive was given to them and they still asked if we wanted a hospice patient to have a flu shot. Unthinkable!! No reason to prolong Mom’s life when she is ill and bedriddenAlso billing is all screwed up. Paid for the room and board at $4750 and was not credited with paying. Now I had to find my canceled check as proofStay far away from this place. They are certainly not to be trusted with medical or paperwork / administration (billing) issuesSend your loved one someplace better. Do place them here.
