This facility has treated my fellow friends/veterans amazing and has taken well care of them. I call regularly to check up on them because of visitation and this pandemic.Although this week when I called and had additional questions, the receptionist Sara was incredibly rude and had an attitude from the first time she picked up the phone. I was astonished. I finally just hung up and plan to just call on a weekend.
This facility is amazing. It’s extremely clean and full of great staff. The residents are happy, have so many activities, great meal choices and so much more. The staff makes the building an extra 5 stars. Especially this oneReese!!!!! :) She is amazing soul, caregiver, and mood changer. She is also very upbeat, and keeps the residents smiling and happy. The Carr she is gives goes above and beyond.Thank you for being such amazing people
This facility by far is the best only facility I would consider placing my spouse in. The staff is PATIENT and caring. Very clean and did not have the smell or the feel of nursing homes I have been in. This is the only facility I would even consider. If my spouse could not go to George E Wahlen Veterans Home, I would have to care for him at home. I would not place in any other facility.
My dad was in this facility for a month for rehab and is now back again for a longer term stay and this is BY FAR the best nursing facility i have ever been to! All the staff is amazing and really show compassion to their patients ! I would highly recommend this place to any one ! Best place for veterans ! They are treated with the utmost respect which is how it should be!
I have lived here for over three years. The staff (both medical and administrative) is not only professional and knowledgeable but also friendly in a high stress environment. The building is clean and in excellent repair. The meals are for the most part very good, alternative foods can be ordered if you are not pleased with the usual selections. I look forward to many more years at the center.
